Lilo and Stitch
Here's what I'm gonna rant about here; Nani Pelekai is probably one of the most underrated Disney characters of ALL TIME.
She's gotta be one of my favorites and, having a little sister myself, I relate to her a lot.
Let's break down how freakin' awesome this woman is.
She will do anything for her little sister.
Nani will go to the ends of the earth to keep Lilo safe and happy (such as adopting Stitch even after "wHAT IS THAT THING?" "I DONT KNOW IT WAS DEAD THIS MORNING"). She's working her ass off at a job to financially support them both. When she's fired from her job she makes it less scary and more humorous for Lilo by just telling her that her boss was a vampire and wanted her to join the army of the undead. She then did all that was in her power to get a new job to make sure the two could live well.
She looks like a real woman
Woah woah guys, don't go hating on me just yet. There's nothing truly wrong with the figures of Disney princesses and characters. But Nani is helpful to relate to. Her legs aren't stick thin which is nice to see especially for me with my thighs😂😂
She puts Lilo first
Nani always puts Lilo before anyone else. Before stitch. Before David. Before herself. Her sister is the most important person in the world to her and it really shows throughout the movie just how good their relationship is.
Overall, Nani needs to be appreciated WAY more. She's so badass and just an amazing role model for people out there.
Rant over.
