          Lycanthropy—the curse of being a werewolf—was the curse that haunted many in Beacon Hills. On nights when the moon was full, lurkers would creep out. Claws, fangs, glowing eyes—a blood red, piercing blue, or golden yellow—the whole lot of them were always lurking.

Some of the cursed ones could deal with their troubles, others not so much. The "not so much" ones were the ones that you should be on the lookout for. Always watch your back; never turn a blind eye.

There were also in-betweens. Those were the ones who had control for the most part but could also lash out. They could control the heavy impulses, but sometimes, just sometimes, they would slip, not being able to stop themselves, and all hell would break loose.

Dior Kendrick was one of the so-called "in-betweens." She suffered greatly from many, many problems, but she had dealt with them her whole life, so they were mostly under control (mostly being the keyword). Her OCD, anxiety, and depression were her biggest difficulties.

She tried not to let them control her—tried not to let her impulses control her. She took her medication like she should. And when the little voice would go away in her head, she was at peace, but then, sometimes, it would come back, and she was spiraling again.

She hated that she was like this. Why her? Why must it be her? What did she do to deserve this?

Nothing was the answer. She did nothing to deserve this. She was kind, under the dull and flat remarks, and she had lived a good life and was a good person. Her parents were good—they were doctors; they helped people. None of her family had ever done anything to deserve these curses (though her parents might not describe them as such).

Dior Kendrick was a routine girl. Everything had to be just right, or she couldn't handle it. She hated chaos and couldn't handle seeing it. So when she is greeted by a boy named Stiles Stilinski, her entire world begins to spin out of control.

He's too much for her, but for some very odd reason, she can't seem to stay away from him. Something about him draws her in, and she hates him (and herself) for it.

Dior Kendrick and Stiles Stilinski were a very unlikely pairing. They were two people who were cut from different clothes—one made of fine silk and the other old flannel. There was no way they could ever work, so why was it that they fought so hard for the impossible to happen? Amongst all of the hell they were enduring in their once-quiet town?

If only they hadn't. If only fantasy could be reality. If only... tears didn't ricochet. If only.

ella's speaking.
          so my friend liv (-wonderhaze) is making a teen wolf/scott mccall fic (which you should totally check out 🤭), and it's a mutuals fic, so i created two ocs for it. i ended up loving those two ocs so much that i wanted to write my own fics with them as the main characters.

this book is about dior, and my other book "the archer" is about kai! they are connected fics, and i would really appreciate if you read both of them !!

this book isn't connected with liv's or my friend indi's (-fairyszn) fics, we just have each other's characters in them, which you will see in the extended cast of this book!
