'As a student, you must be able to score well for all your tests... So you should be only to study well... And only from there, you can score very high'

I can't study well as I get distracted very easily. Like really, really easily. And it's not about just electronics. It can even be about my thoughts and dreams or me skipping from subject to subject as I'll give up halfway and move on to the next subject so that I could 'cover more'.

Sure, studying is not considered a talent... but in this society, anything can be a talent or a record from the most dangerous to the most boring. People go to the extreme just trying to be the best. So, people count studying as an important talent especially in schools. I don't know how the people grade 'studying', but that's just how life is in here.

Students in this society are expected to score very good grades and by that I mean, almost perfection - is either 100% or you're a disgrace to everyone. And by everyone, I mean, literally the entire nation.

First of all, your family will be disappointed in you for not being very successful and would want to disown you. They will criticize you every single moment you're there. They will compare you to your siblings if you have any, to your cousins, to your neighbours - to basically anyone who lives in this world. And not only that, they will abuse you if you don't do what they tell you to. Trust me... I've been there.

Then, your friends will continuously bully you in school - every single waking second. Your school life will a living hell for you, maybe even worse than the one at home. They can do anything to you without any repercussions, especially if they're bullying someone talentless. No one can help you.

Then, you have the teachers. Though the teachers are not as blunt and vulgar as the students, they can still haunt you by indirectly mocking you, sometimes, in front of the whole class. Sometimes, it feels like constructive criticisms but most of the time, those remarks just shoots down your ego until you feel worthless, defunct in society. 

Then, your school will find out about it and they will share during assembly. They will expose you, your class, your grades, your club record - everything negative about you. So, everyone will find out about it and no one will want to help you. They would taunt you through any means, even if they don't know you.

Then, your neighbours will also mock you. Living in a highly competitive society means that everyone is dying to compare and dying to know each other's results. So, it's inevitable that my parents will eventually tell the truth. 

Eventually, the rumours will spread throughout the community.

Then, sooner or later, the media will also find out about it. They would want to capture every single achievement and failure in this country. They would go to great lengths to use your story as a publicity stunt and will even exaggerate your story to make you look like the hero or the bad guy.

And thus, it'll all come full circle and the whole country will know about your uselessness to society. And you will live your life in solitude. No one would want you until you can prove yourself to be the most outstanding student. But with a society that fickle-minded, it's never easy. It's as though trying to walk up the mountain with weights placed on your feet with no protection.

And honestly, living in this world makes me want to die even more.

Death seems more beautiful than actually living...
