Everything had been so perfect since our date. Leon had started coming to meet me at my house in the mornings so we could walk to school and never failed to walk me home after out study sessions at the end of each day. Every weekend he would take me on a date, usually to the same cafe we meet at on our first date.

Once in a while though, he would take me to a nice restaurant, always looking his best as he would greet me with a gentle kiss before leading me inside for our date. And when the date was over he would walk me back out and give me a hungry kiss before we slowly walked back home together, a blush on my face and his arm wrapped around me.

I can't believe it was almost Halloween already. With the masquerade this year, it seemed to be all anyone could talk about. And all I could do was mourn the lack of respect for history. All anyone seemed to care about was who could wear the most revealing costume.

They could at least try for historical accuracy. Was it so hard to open a history book and see what people actually wore during the centuries of history we have? If you didn't care, then why bother having a historically themed masquerade? Why not just say come as whatever, just make sure to hide your face?

Oh well, at least I could trust Leon to dress up for the occasion. I still couldn't really believe he had invited me to go with him. Even after dating him for so long, all I could wonder was why me? How had I been lucky enough to catch his eye? It was like a dream come true.

I couldn't take my eyes off of Leon, he looked so handsome. I felt almost plain beside him, wearing a modest white gown with black lace accents, but plain or not... I was happy. After all, it was me walking into the recently decorated gymnasium with him.

For once, the whispers that followed me were filled with envy. After listening for a quick moment, I started ignoring them in favor of giving my full attention to the young man beside me, leaning over to give him a lingering kiss.

"I love you, Leon. Thank you so much for being mine." I smiled at him as I pulled away just enough to look into his eyes.

"I love you too. I'll gladly be yours forever, and forever have you as mine, my beautiful, sweet Shina."
