Shina had looked so lovely last night, the light from the fireworks reflecting in her eyes. I had thought it was impossible to love her more than I had, but I was wrong. With every word she said, every look she gave me, every kiss we shared, I could feel my love grow. It burned inside of my heart, as hot as the kisses we shared when we returned to our room for the night.

The sight of her laying peacefully beside me when I woke up was one I would cherish forever. Especially the tiny bruises I had left on her pale neck last night, marking her as mine.

I held her close as we walked through the doors, squinting at the brightness of the morning sun. I kept glaring at the random guys that looked her way for just a bit too long, growling at one that thought it was a good idea to try stepping closer. Shina just laughed and pressed a kiss to my neck, her hair falling to the side and showing one of my marks. The fool quickly blushed, turning and walking away. Lucky him, he might not have to join the rest of the garbage I'd had to remove from the world.

I chuckled when I saw Shina send a cute glare at a girl across the street. It turned into an outright laugh at the way the girl thought she could catch my attention by fluttering her ugly eyes at me. Didn't she know that the only one for me was my Shina? Shina was the only one who was beautiful to me, my so very sweet Shina.

Pulling her closer, we walked down the street to enjoy the rest of the festival. It was a shame Shina couldn't wear last nights outfit. I really should have been more careful not to rip it last night.

"Shina, you're getting it all over your face. Do you really enjoy such sugary things that much?" I laughed as I watched her take another bite of the spun sugar, small pieces sticking to her hair and face. Leaning forward, I slowly licked a piece from her cheek. "I think you are much sweeter, my love."

I ignored the giggling idiots behind us as I stared into Shina's eyes, enjoying the blush that turned her cheeks red.

Where was she? It shouldn't take that long to find a restroom. As much as I wanted to stay another night, we needed to get back to the hotel and get our stuff. We had to catch the bus back home, I had school tomorrow after all. I needed good grades so I wouldn't upset Shina. My education was important to her after all.

I searched for her everywhere, slowly moving further and further from the crowds that filled the festival grounds and closer to the small wooded park nearby. Perhaps she wanted to get away from all the noise, she did hate being around so many people after all.

"Shina? Where are you?!" I was starting to worry. What if someone had taken my Shina away? Hearing a rustling from the bushes nearby, I looked over and finally caught sight of her.

"I'm sorry, Leon. I'm afraid I got a bit dirty while taking out some trash." My eyes widened and my breath caught. Holding a knife in front of her, blood dripping from the blade, she stood there watching me. She was so....

"Beautiful."
