One evening, as they sat around the dining table, Saya decided it was time to share some important news with Maik. She took a deep breath and began, "Do you remember the conversations we had about me wanting to spend more time with my friends?"

Maik nodded, a curious look in his eyes. "Of course, I remember. What's on your mind?"

With a slight smile, Saya continued, "Well, I'm about to get married to one of my friends. Today will be my last day working here. It's been a wonderful experience working with you and spending time with Yuki."

Maik leaned back in his chair, his expression a mix of surprise and congratulations. "That's great news! I'm happy for you. When's the big day?"

Saya's face turned serious, and she replied, "I'd like to keep my work life and private life separate, including the wedding. I won't be sending out invitations."

Maik respected her decision and asked, "What about Yuki? Do you plan to talk to her about your plans?"

Saya sighed, a hint of sadness in her voice. "I don't think it's my place to say anything to her. How you handle this situation with Yuki is up to you. I'm choosing to step back from your family matters."

Maik acknowledged her choice and said, "I understand. It was great having you as part of our lives, Saya. You've been a wonderful caregiver and friend. If you ever change your mind or feel like visiting, our home is always open to you."

Saya replied with a heartfelt, "Thank you, Maik. I'll remember your offer."

As their conversation drew to a close, Maik knew that Yuki had been eavesdropping, and he could see the tears in her eyes. It was a challenging moment for both of them. He realized that Yuki deserved to know the truth, no matter how difficult it might be. With a heavy heart, he decided to address the situation.
