Within Void's hidden base of operations, Void was sitting within his office by his table as he was looking through the current reports being sent his way. 

Void: "It appears that Rushia is getting better at controlling her power. Vampyr is handling things in Indonesia and Japan. Though..."

Suddenly, the double doors swung open as Malware in her true body walked on in, greeting with excitement.

Malware: "Hey Void~!"

Void: "Malware. What are you doing in my office?"

Malware: "Aww~ Is it wrong for me to meet with my current boss? I work for you remember?"

Void: "I know that."

The doors then shut as Void stood up from his seat.

Void: "However, why aren't you keeping an eye on Hardway?"

Malware: "He's so boring though~"

Malware pouted as she didn't like it when she is doing these things. 

Void: "You have your objectives, I have mine. Those ATLAS Combat Units are coming along smoothly I take it?"

Malware: "They are. However, what do you intend to do with them?"

Void: "I doubt that would matter for you as you need your loyal followers, and so do I."

Malware: "And I know you're hiding something from me~ Is there another clientele that I ain't aware of?"

Void: "A set of clients willing to do trades with us."

Void then turned to look out the window as he looked at the night sky. Malware was really getting bored as Void ain't getting to the punchline.

Malware: "Who are they to ya~?"

Void: "If you want to know more, go check up with the Doctor. He'll fill you in on the details. If you got nothing else to say, leave."

Malware: "Actually, there's one thing I wanted to inform you. It's about the Omni Magician~"

Malware could've sworn that she saw Void clench his fist for a second, only for it to relax. She had a devious smirk, making Void turn around to look at her, if she could really tell since his mask had no eyeholes for her to tell in the first place.

Void: "Go on."

Malware: "Atlas has gotten wind of Lukas Misaki's younger sister~ Apparently she was quite the amazing potential. They are improving the Artificial Magic Core process all thanks to her. Yet while was I looking into her background, she had some interesting things to say about her brother~"

Void: "Just get to the point Malware."

Malware: "What I'm saying is that with Angelica Misaki, she apparently has high amounts of Mana~ She could have an endless supply, making it easier for the production of the Z-Models~"

Void: "I see. Well ensure that Atlas uses it to the maximum potential they could muster. My clients needs some of them for their experiments. Also, you're given the go ahead for the Atlas takeover. Hardway's uses are no longer required."

Malware: "Of course~ Consider it done, however, I have business I need to take care of before I can do so~"

Void: "Then see to it that you get it done. Hardway will catch wind of our betrayal if it lingers for too long."

Malware: "Of course, I'll be off now, see ya~!"

Malware then began making her way out of the office, closing the doors behind herself. Void was left alone, left to his own devices as he thinks about the possibilities that could be ascertained.

Void: "Angelica Misaki... A Human with limitless Mana huh? They'll definitely get their perfect puppet."

We then cut to Malware who managed to find an elevator, taking her down to the lower levels of the base as she made her way through, noticing that it was pretty occupied as usual, filled to the brim with masked individuals, being members of the High Society. Though they don't even bother to pay attention to her since they are aware of her loyalty towards Void.

Yet in truth, even though she is seen to have blind loyalty, that isn't the truth. She is just merely using Void as a pawn so that she could ascertain her true goals, whether she would like to reveal them or not. She eventually reached the Science Lab, where most of the experimentations go on behind closed doors.

Malware: "Yo Doc~! You here~?"

She tried to get the head of this lab's attention, which her question was answered soon.

???: "Hang on a moment..."

The voice was male, mainly of a monotone tone as the man approached Malware, leaving the others to continue their research. This man was the head of the Science Team within the High Society, Doctor Mallory. The most common thing that most of the people would say about him is that he tends to have a tired expression plastered on his face everyday, which even he can't deny.

Mallory: "Ah Malware... Did you need something...?"

Malware: "Oh nothing really Doc. Void mentioned that you lot were busy working on something for a particular clientele of his~"

Mallory: "Of course... We are working on such a strange type of substance that is beyond our original understanding... A thing that doesn't exist in this world at all..."

Malware: "Is that so~?"

Mallory: "Yes... One of the clients from the clientele has been supplying us with small quantities of the substance, which they would like to call... The Black Blood..."

Malware: "Black Blood? Like blood that is a black colour?"

Mallory: "You could call it that... But in German, it is could be known as Schwarzes Blut... It is a strange mix..."

Malware: "What does it do?"

Mallory: "I guess a demonstration is required... June?"

???: "Of course, Doctor Mallory."

The assistant seemed confident as she lifted a particular vial filled with a strange dark substance, though it seemed to be slightly mixed with a purple liquid as well. June is about the same height as Doctor Mallory as she had glasses and short black hair. 

(Imagine the vial containing the Black Blood and purple liquid mixture)

Malware walked up to look at the vial, putting her hand on her chin as she puts on a thinking posture.

Malware: "This it?"

Mallory: "Yes it is... June her may be my assistant, but she is also an Alchemist, dabbling in forming Magic liquids that could enhance and adjust not only Human and Supernatural bodies, but also enhancing effects of other substances."

June: "And this, is the substance B-019. We have decided to call it that as it had no proper name in the records."

June then took the vial to a particular table, taking out a syringe as she begin to fill it with the Black Blood mixture.

Mallory: "It tends to have reactive qualities when filled within a host... Open the cell."

Some of the guards that was posted by the particular cell block, that was set up for lab purposes obeyed the command as they opened the cell. Though the cell was separated by a strong form of concrete, along with a glass window that is considered to be bullet proof, inside it was a tied up individual who was currently out cold.

The figure was of Supernatural origin has he had lizard-like scales and a tail of reptilian nature. The scales mainly covered little portions of the body. Malware and Doctor Mallory stood by the window as June entered.

Malware: "Does the substance look like that usually?"

Mallory: "Not really... June and I have been trying to come up with a break through to enhance the rapid growth of its evolutionary process..."

Malware: "Evolutionary process?"

Mallory: "We've run it on different test subjects... Each of them varying different results each time... It is like the blood itself acts like a Virus, adapting and evolving, like a parasite, it leaches off of the hosts..."

Within the cell, June looked at the subject, snapping her fingers twice to wake the person up.

June: "Hey there sleepyhead. It's about time for you to be useful instead of moping around, what do you say~?"

???: "W-Wait! What do you mean..?"

June: "You'll know soon enough~"

She then injected the syringe into the subject's neck as she slowly allowed the Black Blood mixture to flow into the subject. Once she was done, she decided to back off, exiting the room as the guards closed the cell's metal door behind her, standing next to Malware and Doctor Mallory.

The subject didn't feel anything at first, but he then started to scream in pain as his body felt like it was on fire. He was doing his best to resist as Malware watched on in intrigue.

Mallory: "You see... The Black Blood usually brings out the latent potential of the host, however it also comes with a cost..."

Malware didn't bother to ask as she witnessed the subject break free from his restraints, screaming in agony as his body was slightly morphing, while visible black marks could be seen flowing through his body. It was clear that those were veins of the subject, meaning that his blood was turning into the same substance that was given to him.

Though it started to get worse as he fell to his knees, vomiting out Black Blood as his breathes became more ragged and much faster. The figure looked up, a form of hatred, a form of rage filling his vision as he let out a yell similar to that of a predator. He then charged at the glass, his hands turning into the very claws that of his own reptilian brethren would have. 

Yet as he made contact with the glass, an electrical shock occurred as he was shocked for a solid three seconds, only to be knocked back to the ground as he was singed and was still suffering from the pain. Malware was surprised by the effects that it was having on the subject.

June: "You see, the Black Blood tends to make their hosts... more aggressive you could say. It is kind of unpredictable, trying to challenge others."

Malware: "Challenge others?"

Mallory: "It is its way of trying to evolve... However, it appears that this subject is losing its life soon..."

Malware: "Huh?"

Malware then looked at the subject again as she witnessed an abhorrent scene play out. The subject couldn't breathe as it suddenly was starting to rip into his own flesh with his claws, like as if the subject is trying to resist as the Black Blood couldn't take control completely. It was evident that the experiment was a failure, making Doctor Mallory look at a particular set of controls, pressing one button that brought out automated turrets.

The automated turrets then fired at the subject as after about ten seconds of firing, the subject's eyes showed no sign of life, being blank white as he fell onto his back. The subject was dead as Doctor Mallory was nonchalant.

Mallory: "Another failure... The enhancement liquids ain't pushing the evolution growth... Either that, or the Black Blood was expanding too quickly... Guards."

The guards nodded as they went inside to clean up.

Mallory: "June. I think we need to slow the process instead of increasing its rapid growth... That way it could possibly lay dormant..."

June: "But why would we need it to lay dormant if they want it to evolve faster?"

Mallory: "If we can make it lay dormant, there's the possibility that it could allow the body to adapt... With that, when the time arrives, it should be able to do the rest with ease... Tricking the body into believing it to be part of the body's system, even part of the blood cells..."

June then adjusted her glasses.

June: "I think I get it now sir. However we'll have to wait for more quantities of the substance from our clients before we can work on new ways of improving it."

Mallory: "In the mean time, work on new Magical liquids to work for the occasion then..."

June: "Understood."

June then left to work on her duties with the rest of the science team as Doctor Mallory began walking away, making Malware follow close behind.

Malware: "Where do you even get this substance? It seems so non-beneficial."

Mallory: "It may seem like that, but according to our master Void and our clients... The Black Blood is able to take its course and infect others like a plague... If given to the correct people, they could become nearly unstoppable... Though from time to time, we get small quantities from one of the main clients... I believe her name to be... Onyx... Yes, that's the name... She also has another companion with her... Lamb... Lambdadelta...? Lambda sounds better..."

Malware: "And why would you be working on that crap in the first place?"

Mallory: "They are looking for a new way to advance it... They want to learn how to integrate the their Virus with machines..."

Malware: "Combine a Human-like disease with machines~? Impossible~"

Mallory: "That may be to us... However, as much as they praise it... It seems like it is possible... With Science and Magic, it could be possible... Especially with the advancements from the Atlas Corporation with their new Magic Cores."

Malware then smirked, thinking of something. 

Malware: "You know, mister Hardway, the head of the Atlas Corporation is technically using a new method to create those Artificial Magic Cores. Do you believe it could help further the goals here?"

Mallory: "If that's true... Then I wouldn't mind, as long as it is limitless. We also need new subjects for further the growth of it..."

Malware: "No worries, I'll get you your subject and what you need in one foul swoop~ I need to head out now as I have a particular event to head to~ Can't keep some of my guests waiting~"

Mallory: "Very well... Take care, Malware."

Malware then walked off, smirking to herself in delight as she figured out a way to get most of the things done in one go, through a form of a chain of events....

Sorry for not uploading a lot quicker than usual, I've been a bit busy recently and I have been working on the chapters, so I am still editing them bit by bit until I think it is fine. The one thing I will say is that the Black Blood idea belongs to KariaTeller and a friend of his, so I didn't mind adding it in through the background of the story.
