It was night time as Lukas was waiting in the cafeteria, he honestly had nothing better to do as Selen was planning on taking a little break from the gaming until she finishes her work. Veladora was currently in her ring form on Lukas' finger as she wanted to come along to hear about what Zaion and Dropscythe wanted to talk to him about.

Veladora: "It is quite suspicious that they want to talk to you at the dead of night~"

Lukas: "It might not be much... However I bet it might be about how I'm acting recently..."

Veladora: "So you are self aware~"

Lukas: "What are you getting at...?"

Veladora: "You know as well as I do that you have a lot on your mind and you want to know the truth. So I bet~ that you'll find some answers if you go along with whatever happens now~"

Lukas then sighs as he knows that he wants to at least find some answers, even if it means getting to mister Tanigo for them. Before he could respond to Veladora, Zaion arrived with Dropscythe, but there was another person that came with them, it was Melody.

Melody: "Ah~ So you kept to your promise."

Lukas: "What are you doing here Melody...?"

Zaion: "She's here because she wants in on this. Now start talking Misaki."

Lukas: "Look... Things have been rough and-"

Before Lukas could talk, Dropscythe immediately grabbed him by the shoulder, which when Lukas looked at his face, he felt shivers run down his spine. Dropscythe had an intimidating expression, though he had a smile, which meant that Dropscythe is trying to be friendly, but intimidating at the same time.

Dropscythe: "You better not lie to us."

Melody: "Umm... Is the intimidation really necessary?"

Zaion: "It is if he won't tell us on his own."

Lukas: "I get it..."

Lukas then sighed as he decided to come out with the truth.

Lukas: "The High Society is after me..."

Melody: "The who?"

Lukas: "They're a group that seems to be fanatical... They want me and I don't know why... Ever since that day at the Bermuda Triangle... Things haven't been the same for me as I feel like information has been held back from me... I want to know what's going on... but every time I ask about what's been happening, I keep getting shoved aside... I get that it's for my protection but... I can't live like this... I don't want to feel useless again..."

Zaion then sat right in front of Lukas.

Zaion: "Listen Misaki, I get it. You have had a rough upbringing, and the fact that information has been held back from us too confirms it all. However, we intend to help you right now."

Lukas looked at Zaion, being confused on why they would help him in the first place.

Dropscythe: "Zai hasn't come back ever since he left and it confirms that something is up. Usually if something big is going on, Zai would be gone for a while due to the Co-Founders and their escapades."

Melody: "Well, I did manage to dig up some information. Apparently they are actually hunting down the High Society, but there seems to be more to it as their current assignment... Is to hunt down a girl..?"

Melody was slightly confused by this as she was checking through her databanks and also the holographic files she was in front of her right now.

Zaion: "Long story short, we are going to help you. We too want to know what's going on and we can't do anything without you. Got it?"

Dropscythe: "Are you getting soft with Misaki, Zaion?"

Zaion then immediately had a blush on her face as she had a scowl.

Zaion: "No I'm not! I'm trying to get through to him and that's why-"

Lukas: "I'll do it."

Zaion froze as she turned to him.

Lukas: "I understand what needs to be done and this might be the chance to find the truth... So, where do we start...?"

Melody: "Well the best thing to do according to my research is to at least talk to Motoaki Tanigo. I think he's actually here right now.."

Zaion: "Then we don't have a lot of time. I do have an idea, Misaki, you go talk to him and get as much as you can out of him. We'll get the transport and things ready for where we need to be heading, plus, Melody knows the right people to talk to."

Lukas was honestly amazed by how far they thought ahead, making him realize that this might be an excellent opportunity to get along with them better, as well as find answers to why he was being hunted down by the High Society. He agreed to this as he got up as soon as he could, going to Tanigo's office.

Once he arrived there, he knocked on it and waited for a reply. 

Tanigo: "Come in."

Lukas then opened the door as he saw Tanigo currently at his desk.

Tanigo: "Oh Young Misaki. What brings you here this late at night?"

Lukas then sighed as he closed the door behind himself, looking at Tanigo with a determined expression.

Lukas: "I want to know what's been going on behind my back."

Tanigo: "What do you mean? We're taking care of the issues as we-"

Lukas then walked up as he felt a surge of fire within himself as he confronted Tanigo then and there. He wouldn't dare to do such a thing, but in this case, he felt like it was the right thing to do.

Lukas: "Don't lie to me mister Tanigo. I have evidence of what's been going on, so tell me everything!"

Tanigo wasn't expecting this out of Lukas, though due to him being the only one here at the moment and thinking about it for a bit, he decided to tell him everything.

Tanigo: "Very well. A group I hired that works under me known as TEMPUS is investigating into the matter about the High Society, exploring the world to find information and the possible whereabouts. However, we recently learnt that the Atlas Corporation is linked to the High Society."

Lukas couldn't believe it at first, but the more he thought about it, the more it made sense. Through his time growing up in Atlas City, he would occasionally find some suspicious individuals that came from the Atlas Corporation's main building since he used to live close to that area. Though a company like Atlas being under the High Society's control might be a problem as Atlas is the company that funds the United States' military and they are the reason why the States have a strong presence in the world. 

Tanigo: "Yet they are currently hunting down a runaway girl that seemed like a high value target. This girl is apparently named Henya, though there's no official medical records of her. We don't know where she is as she could still be in Atlas City, though it becomes a problem when the High Society may want her as well. We also have reasons to believe that she might know the answers that we seek."

Lukas: "So... You're trying to catch this Henya before Atlas gets hold of her...?"

Tanigo: "Yes... The issue we have is that if we send in a large group or make it obvious that we're involved in this matter... Atlas Corporation might not hesitate to expose the Supernatural due to us being business partners with them..."

Lukas: "I see... Is Zai involved in all of this?"

Tanigo: "Him alongside TEMPUS, yes. They are the only ones I've sent in to investigate and solve the matter, though we are also planning on getting the SSF involved as well, but right now isn't the perfect time. The SSF would compromise the entire operation and ruin our chances of learning more information."

Lukas didn't say anything for a moment as he was trying to process this information. Though he gets that in order to find more information, this Henya person must be really important if three separate parties are looking for her. 

Lukas: "Me alongside Zaion LanZa, Doppio Dropscythe and Melody are planning on heading out to help out as much as we can. I want permission from you to give me the go since you are the head."

Tanigo: "I can grant that, but it might cause more trouble."

Lukas: "I'm willing to risk that. I don't want to be useless again. I won't be cast aside if something involves me and if it is urgent."

Tanigo was honestly surprised that Lukas built up such courage to actually go through with this, which shows the determination to become a better person. Yet Tanigo smiled as this was what the Academy was supposed to teach anyways, the betterment of others to self improvements and prosperity to all.

Tanigo: "I understand. I'll allow it, however, I'm sending one of the teachers with you to keep an eye on you all. You are my students after all and I can't let you get injured due to my mistakes."

Lukas: "I understand mister Tanigo, however... I don't want Zai or anyone else to know. You did say that it would cause complications right? We can get it done undercover and possibly solve this issue without alerting anyone. I may be the target of the High Society, it doesn't mean that they'll recognize me right away unless I give myself away."

Tanigo: "It does make sense. Alright, I'll go through with it. I won't inform the other Co-Founders nor the Managers about this, but if they find out, then you're on your own alright Young Misaki?"

Lukas knows of the risks, but he was willing to take it as he has been pushed aside for too long it felt like. 

Lukas: "I accept those conditions. Thank you, mister Tanigo."

Lukas then began to leave the office as when he left, Tanigo sighed as he is playing a risky game at the moment. To him, it's like giving the enemy what they want, but not at the same time. All he could hope for is that Lukas does well enough to improve as fast as he can, he knows that they can't protect him forever. Yet he then realized which teacher would be perfect to help out, making him call that teacher immediately...

Right now it is midnight as within Atlas City, Zai was standing on a rooftop, surveying the city with his eyes the best he could. He could from time to time feel something strange, but he could never put his finger on it as he couldn't pinpoint it. Though as he was trying to pinpoint, he heard a familiar voice behind him.

???: "Got anything?"

Zai turned his head to see Magni Dezmond as Zai had ran into him along the way while investigating this city for most of the day. He was ordered by Altare to essentially meet up with the other members to help them out with the search.

Sonzai: "Nothing Dez-San. We may only have an image of her looks, but it doesn't mean we can track her down in this crappy city."

Dezmond: "May I remind you that this city is the sole reason why the United States is able to be on par with the world? Also, I can agree with you on that one as well. You can only track her when you get an idea of her presence, but since we don't have that, it does make this job of ours difficult."

Sonzai: "I've also noticed some drones that belonged to Atlas Corporation scouring the streets during night time. They definitely want this to be kept on a downlow as much as the Co-Founders. Why are the Co-Founders making deals with them still when the SSF is enough?"

Dezmond: "You know, it ain't always that simple Zai. Atlas Corporation assisted the Co-Founders into making the SSF, providing them with the technology that was necessary for protection. Gunrun technically wants to cut ties with Atlas to make the SSF independent, but can't find the right reason to. The Atlas Corporation also has the Co-Founders wrapped under their thumbs."

Sonzai: "And this is why I sometimes hate the Humans who want to take shit that don't belong to them."

Dezmond: "Don't forget, it isn't just Humanity that act this way. It is natural for others to take that doesn't belong to them as it is a clutch to wanting something more. So, you still don't want to share about your past Zai? I know things aren't exactly the best when it comes to timing, but you're slowly breaking down..."

Dezmond seemed concerned about Zai's health as he could tell that Zai is slowly not being himself with each passing day. Zai scoffed as he began to walk past Dezmond.

Sonzai: "As I said, I won't talk about it. Don't bring it up again. I'll continue my search until I find a possible clue, why doesn't Yagoo have a talk with that thief I found a while ago? He could help out as well or is he going to be kept locked up as well?"

Dezmond: "We were considering that. We'll have it as a suggestion to Yagoo."

Zai then jumped off of the rooftop as he began to jump from building to building at amazing speeds while being covered in red lightning, which means that he is using his Magic to traverse faster and more efficiently. Dezmond knows something is going to happen, though he isn't sure what it'll do to Zai when it happens....
