It was the next day as the students of 1A planned to do a particular event that they have all thought out. Hanging around the beach for most of the day. It was a particular instance as things would become interesting for the class. They have planned out this event yesterday and early in the morning as things were going smoothly, well except for Lukas as he was in his room, thinking about how to handle today's event as he felt rather uncomfortable of the idea of seeing half naked females from his class in their swimwear. 

His mind was racing but he was doing everything he could to get the idea out of his own head.

Lukas: "Come on Lukas.. Keep it together.. It is just a normal day.. Just a normal day where your class, which is filled with mostly females would want to have fun at a beach.. Yeah, a beach.. I don't rarely go there often as my family would preferably leave me behind.. Is it because of favouritism? I wouldn't know.. Why am I thinking about my family all of a sudden!?"

Veladora: "Calm down Lukas. It won't be that bad..."

Lukas: "How sure can I be when I could possibly be seen as a pervert!?"

Veladora: "I do get your point, but it isn't that simple you know?"

Lukas: "Ugh... I'm not excited for this..."

Veladora: "Well judging by your panicking and you not liking this one bit, I can definitely tell~"

Lukas: "And you are not helping!"

Lukas then suddenly heard a knock on his door as he jumped from his spot, surprised by the fact someone knocked on his door. He essentially got a fright, but he calmed himself.

Lukas: "Who is it!?"

Sonzai: "Hey it's me Lukas! Mind if we have a talk before we get ready for today!?"

Lukas: "Umm.... Sure!"

Zai then opened the door, seeing Lukas standing by the window looking outside towards the beach since they're staying directly by it. Zai closed the door behind himself as he had a calm smile on his face.

Sonzai: "Aight Lukas, I have been thinking. Would you mind helping me out with the drinks today? It is going to be a relatively warm day outside as I have a feeling that we guys are going to be slightly busy today."

Lukas: "Is this under Akuma-Sensei's words...?"

Sonzai: "Yep."

Lukas then sighed, being somewhat glad that he would at least not be at the beach the whole time, but he still would have to go there. He was forced into it in the first place by Enna Alouette as well as being convinced by Ina and Zai to go along with it, so of course he wasn't excited, but he just doesn't want to give the wrong impressions if he accidentally does anything weird.

Lukas: "Okay... I'll quickly help out the others with the drinks..."

Sonzai: "Oh that's great. I was actually planning on getting the barbeque set up for us as Doppy and I will be manning the station. Which means that Kyo and Flayon will handle the deliveries and you will be assisting all four of us from time to time. Just like we planned right?"

Lukas: "Yeah.... Just as we planned..."

Lukas' head was hung low as he walked past Zai to head downstairs to assist with the drinks. When he got to the kitchen, he noticed Dropscythe busy with the meats as he was sorting them into different pots to ensure that they are separated. 

Lukas: "Hey Dropscythe..."

Dropscythe stopped what he was doing, turning his head to Lukas.

Dropscythe: "Oh hey Misaki. I'm busy with the meats at the moment. Go help the other two with the drinks. I can tell they aren't in agreement at the moment."

Lukas: "How so...?"

Lukas then heard shouting coming from the other side of the kitchen, noticing both Kyo and Flayon were arguing with each other.

Flayon: "What do you mean the Blueberry Blast is better than the Red X Cold Drinks!? You must be delusional as statistics says otherwise!"

Kyo: "Nah man you capping! Blueberry Blast is more popular and much nicer to chug down if you feel the need for a cool and soft drink!"

Flayon: "That ain't true as the Red X can provide much more benefits!"

Kyo: "You little...! Blueberry Blast costs less!"

Flayon: "Makes sense on why they don't sell as well!"

Kyo: "Blueberry Blast is cheaper because they can't get enough! You ain't talking facts you little shit!"

Lukas was blinking a few times, trying to understand why the two were arguing, yet it made him sigh at the same time, realizing he will have to try and defuse the situation, whatever it was.

Lukas: "Alright... I'll see what I can do..."

Lukas then made his way over to them as they continued arguing, however their argument came to a halt as they saw Lukas.

Lukas: "Guys... Why are you two arguing right now...?"

Lukas wasn't really thrilled to make conversations right now as his mind is a complete mess, which he is technically keeping to himself. Kyo was the first to speak up.

Kyo: "Flayon here is comparing my choice to a crappy drink."

Flayon: "That ain't true! Red X as I said is relatively good! It keeps us awake and energetic for most particular occasions."

Kyo: "Blueberry Blast is better at relaxing the mood and it tastes great while it traverses through your body."

Lukas was technically getting the idea immediately as he said what came to mind out loud.

Lukas: "So... You both are arguing over... Which drink to use?"

Kyo: "Truthfully, yeah."

Flayon: "Crystal clear."

Lukas: "But... Why not use both?"

Kyo: "Why would we use both if everyone can't experience the same drink?"

Lukas: "No what I mean is.... Can't you combine the two drinks?"

Flayon: "Combine them?"

Lukas: "Well you guys are talking mainly about cold drinks that act like energy drinks right?"

The two nodded at the same time.

Lukas: "Then... Wouldn't it make sense to combine the two into the same kind of drink. Creating a hybrid of the two..? It could still give the same tastes along with similar effects... Though I am not sure if it'll work..."

Both Kyo and Flayon looked at each other, considering the option as they both came to a mental agreement.

Kyo: "Okay Lukas. We'll give it a shot."

Flayon: "Yeah, at least then we'll know if it works."

Lukas wasn't sure at first if his idea would work in the first place, but the three got cooking with the idea. Soon enough, they combined the two kinds of drinks, creating a strange special. The liquid drink mostly had a blue colouration to it which also had red colours swirling around in spirals. Both Kyo and Flayon looked on with intrigue as the two figured that they might as well get their drinks first to taste.

The first of the two to taste was Flayon, who simply was the most excited to try it out. When he took a sip, he was simply surprised that it worked. He could only say a few words.

Flayon: "Holy crap... THIS IS ACTUALLY GOOD!"

Kyo was lifting an eyebrow in suspicion as he got his drink, beginning his taste. Once he took a sip, he too was actually surprised by how good it was.

Kyo: "Wow... I could actually taste the combination of the two. It isn't exactly overflowing the other, it's somehow blending together. I will admit, this is pretty fucking good."

Lukas got a drink as well, taking a sip as he was surprised by the taste. As far as he could describe it mentally, it had a unique blend. The Red X energetic pop taste was mixing in with the Blueberry Blast cool temperatures that it felt relaxing inside the mouth. When he swallowed, it was smooth and rather great, his body felt like it did get quite an adrenaline rush for a split moment before his body that was tense, relaxed subtly. 

Lukas: "This... is really good... I could definitely taste the two flowing together in harmony..."

Flayon: "You know, I guess I was wrong about you bud."

Lukas looked at Flayon, slightly confused on what impression he might've given to him in the first place.

Kyo: "What he's saying is that we thought of you as a person that tends to keep to themselves, not sharing their own creativity. Yet here you are, proving that both of our favourites could actually mix well together. Great work Lukas!"

Flayon: "Yeah what he said!"

Lukas was a little awkward about this as he was never really complimented much about his creativity and problem solving skills, so this was technically the first time in what felt like forever that he was praised for something like this really. Soon enough, they got the drinks set up as Kyo intended to carry the jug that had the mix in it while Flayon carried the tray with the glasses. Lukas was mainly helping Dropscythe carry the pots with the different meats to where they needed to be. 

At this point in time, it was midday as the sun was visible to see in the middle of the bright blue sky. The scorching heat was pretty much there, though since Lukas wasn't intending to be outside much, he was wearing a white hoodie with blue jeans and white sneakers. He was wearing the hood over his head, preventing his eyes from constantly looking up into the sunlight since he didn't really have sunglasses. The beach was pretty much occupied by the female students of 1A as they were having fun in their own ways from the looks of things. 

Once the four reached the destination that was by an umbrella set up, standing there was a grill set, ready to barbeque was Zai and Akuma-Sensei. Akuma-Sensei noticed them and waved them over.

Vox: "Good job boys. It's now time to start our preparations!"

With Akuma-Sensei's instructions, things begun smoothly as Kyo and Flayon started by preparing the drinks while Dropscythe and Zai got to work on grilling the meats. Lukas was technically tasked with assisting the two groups as much as he could possibly do, yet also do some deliveries as well since some students tend to do their own things instead of coming on by to just grab what they wanted. 

A few minutes in, everything was going through without any issues as with Kyo, he was busy relaxing as he was a bit sad that he doesn't get to do much besides pour drinks like a bartender to his eyes. Yet the one person to walk up to him was Millie Parfait who was wearing a black swimsuit, sunglasses and even a straw-hat to boot. She noticed the group of five students getting everything sorted as she felt like saying hello.

Millie: "Hey guys!"

Kyo: "Hey Millie."

Flayon: "Heyo~"

Millie: "You all have to do this?"

Kyo sighed.

Kyo: "Yeah, under Akuma-Sensei's commands. Now how many would you like to bring with you?"

Millie: "Hmm~ How about two? One for me and one for Enna."

Kyo: "Mind if I bring them along? I don't want to stand here and do nothing at all for hours on end."

Millie: "Sure. Please do follow me!"

Once the drinks were ready, Kyo began to follow Millie with drinks in his hands. Flayon was left alone at the station, which made Lukas have to fill in for Kyo until he gets back. Flayon looked in the distance at Kyo and Millie chatting, being rather close at times.

Lukas: "Is something the matter Flayon...?"

Flayon: "Oh no nothing much. Just find it interesting that both Kyo and Millie are close."

Lukas: "Aren't they friends?"

Flayon: "Well yeah obviously, but that looks like an entirely different form of close. Romantic tension I say~"

Lukas: "I guess so...?"

Lukas was honestly questioning on why Flayon would be interested to see something like that since he isn't really much of an expert when it comes to the concept of love really. So he just decided to shrug it off and focus on the drinks with Flayon. Soon enough, the next students to appear at their station was Amelia Watson and Gawr Gura as the two looked at the drinks with interest. Gura was technically wearing a blue swimming suit as Amelia was wear yellow bikini with her waist having a light blue towel wrapped around it covering her legs, but revealing her one leg still. Yet Amelia also has bright sunglasses that is tilted upwards above her eyes.

Amelia: "Heya~!"

Lukas: "Hey A-Amelia.."

Gura: "Hey Flayon!"

Flayon: "Hey Gura! We got a special mix concocted by this guy right here!"

Flayon nudged Lukas by his arm a bit, making Amelia and Gura interested.

Amelia: "Really? What drink is this?"

Lukas: "Well... Flayon and Kyo couldn't come to a conclusion on w-what drink they wanted to settle w-with... So I suggested combining the two... It's a combination between Blueberry Blast and Red X..."

Gura: "Really!? Mind if I have a taste before I decide?"

Flayon: "Sure!"

Flayon quickly poured a bit for Gura as he handed her a cup, allowing her to taste it. Yet when she tasted it, her eyes sparkled with wonder.

Gura: "Oh my god~! This is fantastic!"

Amelia chuckled at her friend's reaction, finding it slightly funny with how cute Gura is. 

Amelia: "Well, I guess I can have one as well."

Once Lukas poured Amelia's cup, Amelia leaned in for a moment, whispering to him.

Amelia: "I want to talk to you later today if that is alright with you?"

Lukas was unsure if he wanted to talk, but he supposed that it wouldn't hurt as it is supposed to be a vacation anyways. Yet the back of his mind was remembering that this is a vacation at the home city he didn't want to return to in the first place. But he simply nodded his head as Amelia gave a smile in confirmation.

Amelia: "Alright. Thank you for the drink boys!"

Gura: "See ya~!"

The two girls left as Flayon turned his head to Lukas, wondering about something.

Flayon: "What was that about?"

Lukas: "N-Nothing much... She just wants to talk to me sometime... Probably about some sort of detective thing perhaps..."

Flayon simply shrugs at that response.

Flayon: "Oh well. At least we all get along to a degree."

Lukas: "To an extent... yeah.."

Soon enough, Kyo returned back as Lukas had to then go to the meat station where Zai and Dropscythe had to handle the meat and prep the plates.

Lukas: "Hey Zai. How's this station going?"

Sonzai: "Doing great for the most part. Some of the others have already gotten their portions, just awaiting for others. Though can you stand with Doppy for a bit? I need to go and do something real quick."

Lukas: "S-Sure..?"

Zai then left the station, leaving Lukas alone with Dropscythe as they were busy with the meats. Though soon enough, the two to appear at this station was technically Kiara and Calli, which is rather unexpected by Lukas' eyes. Kiara was wearing a matching pair of blue bikini while Calli seemed to have a more sophisticated dark violet bikini. Yet Kiara was slightly more revealing in comparison to Calli. Calli also had dark crimson sunglasses.

Kiara: "Hi~!"

Lukas: "H-Hey Kiara..."

Kiara: "How's my little brother doing~?"

Lukas: "I think I'm doing alright... Though how are you doing?"

Kiara: "I'm doing rather fantastic! This is such a relief in comparison to my time in the Academy! Though Calli~ Why won't you let me join you~?"

Calli was simply rolling her eyes, looking in a different direction as she scoffed.

Calliope: "You are not helping Kusotori. Why don't you go to Dropscythe and get what you want, I'll wait here."

Kiara: "Aww~ Fine~"

Kiara then went up to Dropscythe to pick the meat she wanted, though this was one of the ways that Calli could get the chance to talk to Lukas directly without being interrupted.

Calliope: "Hey Misaki. I thank you for helping me open my eyes a bit ago."

Lukas: "Oh ah... No worries at all..."

Calli then sighed.

Calliope: "Listen, I'm trying to be myself around Kusotori a bit more but... I still find this shit rather difficult."

Lukas: "I tend to do the same..."

Calliope: "That meaning?"

Lukas: "Oh... Nothing..."

Lukas tries to hide the fact that he said something that he felt like he shouldn't have, though Calli lets it slide.

Lukas: "Well... At least you're trying... That counts for something right?"

Calliope: "That is true. Also, why does Kuso- I mean Kiara, see you as like a brother?"

Lukas: "L-Long story... She acted that way when she managed to pry a little into my background... During our training back at the Bermuda Island... She wanted to act like a big sister to me, t-trying to make me open up I guess..."

Calliope: "I see. That is her typical self. Being kind and thoughtful about others..."

Kiara: "Calli~! I'm about done~!"

Calliope: "Coming Kusotori! Sorry Misaki, we'll talk again some other time."

Lukas: "N-No worries Calli... Just continue being yourself alright..?"

Calli simply nodded as she went to follow Kiara to where they were heading off to. Lukas sighed, having a bit of a headache suddenly. He didn't understand why, but he could tell that he still was trying to convince himself to enjoy things here at the very least. 

Soon enough, Zai returned and Lukas focused on both stations as much as he could. Hours have passed through the day as it was reaching sunset. While everyone was chatting to each other, playing games by the sea, racing each other and other things that made them have fun, Lukas was sitting by himself, watching everything.

He had a sad forced smile on his face as he was watching all of this, suddenly remembering something that he felt uncomfortable with. Yet he couldn't think of it much as Amelia appeared and sat right next to him.

Amelia: "There you are Lukas."

Lukas did get a bit of a fright, but he held it in as he still kept his fake weak smile up for as long as he possibly can.

Lukas: "Hey Amelia... You wanted to talk about something..?"

Amelia: "Well yes actually... Ina wanted me to check up on you. Is something on your mind?"

Lukas: "W-Why you ask...?"

Amelia: "You seem more... bland than your usual self. People tend to get excited over vacations. Yet you don't seem thrilled at all being around here, like your energy has been zapped away from ya like nothing. So what's wrong?"

Lukas then began to have a more serious expression.

Lukas: "There isn't anything that is wrong right now..."

Amelia: "Is this one of your lies? Because if it is, it's a really bad one."

Lukas then sighed, starting to get irritated.

Lukas: "I don't want to talk about it..."

Amelia: "Come on, at least let Ina know right?"

Lukas then stood up, not saying anything as he was beginning to walk away, which made Amelia stand up to shout at him.

Amelia: "Come on! We are all friends aren't we!?"

Lukas stopped, turning his head to look at Amelia as she could notice a certain look in his eyes. One she could recognize as she had seem those kind of eyes before. The eyes of inner turmoil, one of sorrow, one of grief, hidden pain being hidden from the outside world.

Lukas: "I can't. Not to my friends... I'm sorry."

Lukas then began walking away again, making Amelia sigh as she rubbed the back of her neck.

Amelia: "Well I tried at least... Sorry Ina, he's a tough one to crack."

She said this out loud, though the one who was watching everything unfold in that short timespan was four particular people. Zai, Zaion, Dropscythe and Ina....
