It has been another week as Lukas has been trying to get along with the other students as they returned back to Vtopia. Though with June upon the horizon now, being exactly two days away, Lukas was sitting in the living room as he was playing a competitive shooter game on the console that Zai had lying around. He was doing alright for the most part as he was enjoying himself, it made him forget somethings while also relaxing in comfort.

Zai entered the living room, who just had a shower while drying his hair. His clothes were on, but he appeared to have the idea of drying his body first, put clothes on and then focus on drying his hair. He noticed Lukas doing really well.

Sonzai: "Good job Lukas. Though are you sure you're alright?"

Lukas: "I'm pretty sure... Why?"

Sonzai: "Just wanted to know as since the Mid-Year Exams are coming up and if you do fail them, you can get kicked out."

Lukas: "I'm aware of that Zai... I already finished what I needed to do for Akuma-Sensei so... I think I just need to relax since I have many things on my mind.."

Sonzai: "Then why don't you go out a bit?"

Lukas: "Go out..?"

Sonzai: "Yeah. I haven't seen you do much with Kson and she is to be your wife after you graduate, so why don't you have fun with her today? It could help release some tension."

Lukas: "Perhaps..."

Lukas then sighed as he got up from the couch as he turned to Zai.

Lukas: "I'll try to go out on a d-date with her... But I'm not good at these kind of t-things Zai.."

Sonzai: "Relax. Just be you and I am sure you will be alright. See ya later tonight bud."

Lukas: "Where are you going..?"

Sonzai: "Was informed recently that some High Society members are out and about today. Thought I might as well pay them a visit to beat them up for messing with us you know?"

Lukas: "O-Okay...?"

Sonzai: "Anyways, see ya!"

Zai then left the premises as quickly as he could, leaving Lukas alone as he sighed, unsure on how to proceed. He then sucked it in as he got ready. About 30 minutes pass as he got himself ready, wearing his traditional attire, though he feels a little cliché at this point. Though he then heard knocking at the door, making him realize it was Kson.

Lukas: "I'll be there in a moment!"

Even though he hasn't gotten to know her well enough yet, he would have to make do with what he's got. He then went to open the front door, seeing Kson standing in front of him now.

Kson: "Hey Lukas, did you need something since you called me all the way here?"

Lukas: "W-Well... I wanted to spend some time with you... I hope that isn't anything bad if that is what you're thinking.."

Kson: "Not at all. Why don't we enjoy what Vtopia has to offer together? We don't have to see it as a date, just a typical hangout between mutual parties."

Lukas: "I think that would help... yeah sure. Let's do that."

Lukas has gotten more comfortable with Kson, though he isn't fully there yet. So they both left together as they began to walk the streets of Vtopia, intending to spend the whole day doing whatever comes their way. The first thing they decided to do is take a stroll to decide on what would be interesting to do. 

The first thing that came their way was a nearby arcade, which the two decided to enter and experience what they had to offer. Lukas has been here a few times due to Zai being relatively busy at some points, but he never really tried being competitive as it didn't feel great doing so on his own. So with Kson around, they both competed in two player based arcade machines, which arranged from First Person Shooters, Car games and etcetera. Though it turned out, the two were having a blast as the two co-ordinated with one another and handled it like a duo team. In the end however, they couldn't finish some of the arcade games' stories, but they did have fun nonetheless. 

Yet the next thing they had noticed in the arcade was the Crane games. Kson however spotted something which made her excited as she ran up to it, her face filled with excitement.

Kson: "I can't believe it! I thought these weren't around anymore!"

Lukas: "What is it..?"

Lukas walked up to notice what would seem to have plushies inside, though of an individual that he didn't really recognize. Orange hair, draconic eyes, dragon wings, dragon horns and a dragon tail to add it all up.

Kson: "It's the plushies of Kiryu Coco! She's a dragon that runs an entire Yakuza group! She was one of my many inspirations 'til this very day. Though her group isn't exactly around here per say, they were up back in Japan."

Lukas: "I see..."

Lukas has managed to learn of one fact about Kson as since Kson was mostly a delinquent, it was nice to learn of her role models.

Lukas: "So... You want one?"

Kson: "That would be fantastic! Though I am incredibly bad at these kind of machines though..."

Lukas: "I could give it a try..?"

Kson: "Very well. Go for it."

Kson then allowed Lukas past as he began to insert some coins. Though like a professional straight out of hell, he immediately positioned the crane on top of the one plushie he could spot, pressing the button as he stood back a bit, awaiting for the magic to happen. In the end, he won the plushie as he took it out of the machine and gave it to Kson.

Lukas: "Here you go."

Kson was astonished and starry-eyed as she was amazed by how quickly Lukas won that. She took the Kiryu Coco plushie.

Kson: "It's also in such fine condition! Thank you Lukas!"

Lukas: "S-Sure... No problem.."

His face was a bit red as he never was great with praises, though behind one of the machines, Zaion LanZa with a hood over her head was watching on, surprised to see Lukas here with someone she doesn't really know.

Zaion: "Misaki..?"

Zaion narrowed her eyes. She originally came to the arcade to enjoy her time to relieve some stress, but now since she noticed Lukas being with some woman, she decided to tail them to see what their relationship is like.

After a bit of time at the arcade, Kson and Lukas began to head out, finding another place to explore. Vtopia is quite large and they doubt that they could cover a lot of distance in a span of a day. So the two ended up finding a Karaoke Bar, which Kson decided to drag Lukas into. It was nerve wracking for Lukas during the first few minutes, but over time, Lukas managed to get used to it as he sang along some of the songs Kson picked. 

In the end as they left the Karaoke Bar, Lukas felt like his soul was going to leave his body because of how embarrassed he felt. His face was beet red as he couldn't contain his embarrassment in the end, his eyes being rather dizzy as well.

Kson: "Woo! That was fun! You're actually a really good singer at times as well. When did you learn how to sing?"

Lukas kind of snapped out of hit, though his face still had that tinge of red, that much was obvious to Kson.

Lukas: "I uh.... I tend t-to practice a lot of things to get things off of my m-mind..."

Kson: "Oh~! I see~ So do you have any hobbies?"

Lukas: "I like d-drawing.."

Kson: "Oh~! That sounds really nice. Mind if I have a look sometime?"

Lukas: "S-Sure..."

While the two were talking and walking, Zaion was in one of the alleys listening in. She was slowly getting ideas and clues to who Lukas Misaki used to be judging from the way he was reacting and how he thought.

Zaion: "Get things off of your mind huh? And what would those things be?"

Zaion then began to tail them again as she was making sure to keep these mental notes in her head. Lukas and Kson then decided to stroll for the rest of the day as things weren't really that interesting within the area of Vtopia the two stay at, so a nice walk wouldn't hurt. Though it was now getting dark as the two had fun today. The two were walking along the seaside as Lukas couldn't help but admire the view of the ocean's water glistening with the moonlight. 

Kson: "Beautiful isn't it?"

Lukas: "Yeah..."

Kson: "You know, you might find trouble opening up at times, but you are a good soul that much I can tell."

Lukas: "You think so..?"

Kson: "Yep. You got me things I wanted, even though it might've been wasting your time. You took me to places I wanted to see, even though you weren't exactly comfortable with it. You are more selfless than you give yourself credit. That is what I find attractive about you Lukas."

Lukas felt his face heat up a bit as he still didn't make proper eye contact with Kson. He knows that he needs to at least make eye contact with Kson when she's talking, but since he doesn't know how to react or act in a situation like this, he is just insecure.

Lukas: "T-Thanks... I guess..."

Kson: "I understand you aren't exactly used to me as of yet. We've only known each other since March and we haven't known each other for too long. Yet I am sure we'll be able to figure things out. We are getting married after your graduation so we still have a lot of time on our hands to figure things out."

Lukas: "Y-Yeah... Though what about the times I'm too busy...? Wouldn't you f-feel lonely...?"

Kson: "I suppose so from time to time. But you are the Omni Magician and you have a lot of responsibilities. Your family may not have been that great towards you through the recent years, but you got a new family here. People here you can trust, that can be like family to you."

Lukas then stopped in his tracks as Kson took a few steps forward, only to stop when she noticed him not moving. Lukas was just honestly in a bit of a shock as he never thought about it. He was slowly tearing up.

Lukas: "You... You mean it..?"

Kson: "I do. Trust me, I barely know my family that well so I can't relate completely. However as your fiancé, I have every intention to make you happy. So, what do you say? Will you let me help you? You open up to me and I'll make sure your life is better?"

Kson then opened her arms outward as she was gesturing Lukas for a hug. Lukas finally had streams of tears running down his face as he immediately ran up to her, embracing the hug as they both hugged in silence. It was somewhat comforting for Lukas as he felt like he could stay like this for a while, though he was sobbing a bit, Kson rubbed the top of his head a bit to help him relax. Eventually they broke up from their hug as she wiped away his tears.

Kson: "For now, we don't need to be romantically in love yet. However, it is your choice if you want it or not. Romance can blossom when one doesn't expect it, trust me, I've seen my friends back in Japan that had similar experiences. So for now, see us as close friends alright?"

Lukas simply nodded in silence.

Kson: "Good. Now you should head on home before those masked people find you again alright?"

Lukas understood what she was saying as he then began making his way home. Kson stood still for a moment, watching him walk off as well as enjoying the cool breeze. She breathes in, taking in the cool air as she finds it rather relaxing. As soon as Lukas was out of sight, she was about to walk away as well, though suddenly, she encountered Zaion who stood had her hood up.

Zaion: "So you're Misaki's fiancé?"

Kson: "I do apologize but, are you an acquaintance of Lukas'?"

Zaion: "I'm his classmate. I suppose I am his friend, but at the same time not. So I guess acquaintance makes sense."

Kson: "Ah~ I see. Though what brings you all the way here? Were you spying on me and Lukas by any chance?"

Zaion: "What if I was?"

Kson: "You know, it was a bit rude that you did that. But are you perhaps jealous?"

Zaion's face went a little red, finding it awkward that she even asked that. Though at the same time she found it preposterous that she even asked her that.

Zaion: "In what way do you think I might be jealous?"

Kson: "You following us around. You remaining distant until I was alone. And you even hesitating for a split second."

Kson pointed these three facts out by counting three of her fingers. Though Zaion then sighed as she raised her arms in defeat.

Zaion: "Okay, you win. I'm jealous so what of it?"

Kson: "It is normal to be jealous, though technically, Lukas can be a bit dense."

Zaion: "And your point being?"

Kson: "I'm saying that Lukas doesn't know anything when it comes to romance. So you can technically take him to places if you ever want to. Though since he never mentioned somebody actually liking him, he is quite dense when it comes to it. So missy, you still got a chance~"

Zaion: "Me have a chance with him? No."

Kson: "Oh? You in denial?"

Zaion: "No. I am putting it this way. I would rather get his attention my own way. Whether that is me accepting things or him understanding me better. He's my rival and I mainly see him as that. As a love interested, I deny that as it would throw me off rhythm of improvement. I am technically seeing this as something similar to a method I use when I play videogames at my own pace. So if you'll excuse me, I will have to process this in my own head tonight."

Zaion then walked past Kson as she put her hands in her pockets, thinking about it. Kson was actually rather curious about Zaion, even though the two haven't exchanged names yet, she feels like Zaion could be a rather interesting person. She could tell that Zaion as that Tsundere type of personality, so she might lean that into her advantage....

Well sorry for not getting into any story development this chapter as this was more of a filler chapter. I realized so far that I haven't really built up the relationship between Lukas and Kson yet and I felt like this chapter was the perfect opportunity to begin to build it up. I tend to struggle to write filler chapters at times, so I think this was my first time properly doing so. So I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I'll see you all in the next update!
