Chapter 25 - The First Omni Magician
It has been three weeks in total since Class 1A's training in the Bermuda Triangle Island, however through these weeks, Lukas Misaki and Takanashi Kiara have been looking everywhere for any form of ancient ruins, but it was hard to find due to the natural forest itself. The two were currently walking around the last area they could come up with and yet during this time, the two have gotten closer to a degree.
They kind of saw each other as like siblings since Kiara was constantly insistent in acting like Lukas' older sister figure. Lukas was pressured into this idea, so he just went along with it. Yet as the two began to take their rest, Lukas wanted to know something about Kiara since he never really understood something about her.
Lukas: "Hey Kiara..."
Kiara: "Yes?"
Lukas: "You are a Phoenix... correct?"
Kiara: "That I am. Why?"
Lukas: "Well... I am just wondering on how you use your Fire Magic. From what I have read about the legends of Phoenixes, they are giant birds made out of literal flames at times..."
Kiara chuckles a little at this, finding this hilarious, though Lukas was a little confused, but embarrassed at the same time.
Kiara: "It is true that I am made out of flames, but I ain't that big."
Lukas: "I.. I know but.."
Kiara: "No need to explain Lukas, I will explain. The way I utilize my flames is because my body shifts with it."
Lukas: "S-Shifts..?"
Kiara: "Yep. My sword and shield is also made out of the flames as well as I have that because I experienced Knighthood. Though, are you asking because you want to utilize your Fire Magic?"
Lukas: "Y-Yeah..."
Kiara: "Well, I have seen you train with Zaion and I will say you are utilizing it fine. But in truth, if you want to learn to use it to its maximum, you need to understand the feeling of being the flames itself. That is my opinion, but you don't have to abide to it."
Lukas: "I think I understand... Thank you Kiara.."
Kiara: "No worries. Big Sis Kiara got your back Lukas."
Lukas chuckles awkwardly as he wasn't really used to this, but when he remembered his family, his whole demeanour switched around again as he wanted to forget about his family. He remembered being the big sibling as he wanted to help his little sister, but when she backstabbed him, he became the way he was today because of putting his faith in his little sister. He wasn't really focusing on himself at the time, so he would rather now focus on himself and improve so he can be at his best as soon as possible. He is aware of the High Society and the fact that he is being targeted, though he doesn't know the exact reasons still.
Though suddenly, he felt a sudden shock run down his spine, an instinct acting all on its own as he stood up again, confusing Kiara.
Kiara: "Lukas? What is it?"
Lukas couldn't help but get a certain feeling, he couldn't really describe it, but he knows that he needs to follow it.
Lukas: "I don't know... But I have to follow it.."
Kiara: "Follow what?"
Lukas then began to follow the direction which he was being dragged towards, Kiara quickly got up.
Kiara: "Hey! Don't go too far ahead!"
Kiara quickly caught up with him as they both made their way through the forest's terrain. After a few minutes, they stopped in front of what they couldn't believe. They saw what could be the ruins that they were searching for, having an ancient Egyptian vibe to it, though Lukas could feel that it must've been further back.
Kiara: "Is this what I think it is...?"
Lukas: "It might be... There's only one way to find out."
Lukas then began to walk ahead, without any heads up as Kiara followed quickly behind. The ruins wasn't that big per say as when they managed to find the large set of doors at allowed them inside, this place only had one large room. It was rather deep as they made their way down the steps. There were statues all around, but strangely enough, the statues were of different figures that Lukas didn't recognize.
Lukas: "Kiara... Do you recognize any of these statues..?"
Kiara: "No... Although I don't really recognize them, it is strange as they feel rather familiar."
Lukas then moved his attention to a statue on the other side of the room, which was of a strange figure that seemed out of this world for him. She had really long hair, though her attire was a long jacket and a skin-tight looking suit, though it felt like he should recognize this individual. At the bottom of the statue, there was a pedestal with a strange floating grey orb. He didn't know how to describe it as it radiated with a power similar to his own.
Lukas: "Is that... the relic we were searching for..?"
Kiara: "It could be... Let's go check it out."
Kiara ran ahead, running towards it while Lukas ran after her, catching up as they stood by the pedestal.
Kiara: "It definitely gives a similar feel to your power Lukas. Though I think it would be best if you grab it."
Lukas: "Why..?"
Kiara: "It's just a gut feeling."
Kiara was being her usual self as Lukas sighed, deciding to not back down now as he outreached for the orb. However once he grabbed it, it began to emit different colours of bright lights as the room around them began to envelop in the brightness it was radiating. Kiara blocked her vision, but Lukas closed his eyes as when he opened them, he saw himself in a dark strange space. He could tell that he wasn't in the ruins anymore as the strange presence he had from that particular statue wasn't there with him.
Lukas: "W-Where am I...?"
Lukas then looked around, seeing himself in an abyss as it felt empty, but yet he couldn't find Kiara anywhere.
Lukas: "K-Kiara...? Kiara!?"
???: "I'm afraid that you are in my reality young one."
Lukas heard a strange feminine voice as it sent chills down his spine as he could tell he was in the presence of someone really powerful, something beyond most of the other students he knows.
???: "Don't be afraid. I won't bite~"
He turned around to see who was talking to him, only to see someone radiating with different colours and yet her elegance was charming to him. His eyes widened as he didn't know how to react as he fell over backwards.
Lukas: "W-Who are you...?"
???: "Well then. I suppose it is right to introduce myself since I pulled you in here."
Veladora: "I am Veladora, the First Omni Magician to ever exist. And you, are the current Omni Magician of your generation right?"
Lukas: "Y-You're the F-First Omni Magician...?"
Veladora: "That is correct. Now care to introduce yourself?"
Lukas blushed in embarrassment as he quickly got back to his feet, neatening himself as he quickly introduced himself.
Lukas: "I-I'm Lukas Misaki! Current Omni Magician of t-this generation!"
Veladora was laughing hysterically at Lukas' act as she found this really funny. Lukas was confused on why she was laughing, but she quickly recovered, rubbing a tear from her eye.
Veladora: "My apologies Lukas. You see, I haven't really had much entertainment ever since my departure. Being stuck in this relic as a soul really is quite boring I must say. However, only an Omni Magician can enter this relic to meet me face to face. Yet here you are. What brings you all the way here, Lukas Misaki~?"
She got up close to his face, making him rather uncomfortable with how close she was to his face. To him, this was equal levels of uncomfortable when Kiara hugs him constantly.
Lukas: "I... I was tasked by Akuma-Sensei t-to find the r-relic..."
Veladora: "I see~"
She then backed off, knowing that he was telling the truth anyway. Every time she took a step, the void began to fill with bits of colour.
Veladora: "Though why were you tasked so?"
Lukas: "I.. I was told that I c-could improve if I f-found it..."
Veladora: "That does make sense. To a degree."
Lukas: "B-But... I was told before that a O-Omni Magician is very powerful and c-can utilize a-any form of M-Magic... Is that true..?"
Veladora: "As long as it is Natural. If it is Unnatural however, it becomes impossible."
Lukas: "I see.... Then... How did you end up like this...?"
Veladora: "You know... That is going to be a long story, but I suppose I can make it somewhat quicker if you'd like~?"
Lukas: "I think.... The shorter v-version would be best f-for now..."
Veladora: "Very well."
Veladora then began to sit in the air as she was floating with her legs crossed. She was getting in a comfortable position mid-air to get her story telling mood on.
Veladora: "You see I wasn't born as the Omni Magician."
Lukas: "W-What..?"
Veladora: "The Concept of the Omni Magician didn't exist during my time. During my time, the Supernatural and Humanity were at each others' throats. Greed, Power, all that kind of stuff. However I was but a young girl wanting to make a difference. I saw the good in everyone, though I have also seen my fair share of bad people. One day I ended up running away from said bad people, but I ended up somewhere I thought I would never find. A Sanctuary that led me to the supposed Tree of Life."
Lukas: "Tree of Life...?"
Veladora: "The source of Nature itself and controlled by the Keeper of Nature. I found my way there somehow and I didn't want to leave at the time because of how peaceful and tranquil it was. I ended up meeting the Keeper and she gave me a choice. Either stay there, or leave and find my own free life. I was conflicted at the time, but she offered me an alternative as well. She ended up giving me a fruit. A Golden Apple. That apple essentially gave me the power to become what is known as the Omni Magician. With it, I decided to roam the world, discover new things and even bring the Supernatural and Humanity together. Unifying a peaceful Era."
Lukas: "Woah..."
Veladora: "However, things aren't always that great. Heaven and the Underworld will always be at odds. Humanity and the Supernatural will always be at each other throats. I was just the temporary link that kept them together. The Council then approached me, considering me as the balance that the world needed. They offered me another choice, to serve under the Council as an honorary member, but I simply refused. Because of that, The Warden and Chaos went against me. I fended them off, but it caused the world to return back to its old ways. Yet then, I met her."
Veladora then created a spectral image of the woman she met. Though Lukas immediately recognized her as the statue that loomed above the pedestal that kept the relic.
Lukas: "T-That's the statue I saw looming over the r-relic..."
Veladora: "Her name is Omega Alpha. She represents the Beginning, and the End. She controls Reality itself. She is above the Council. She saw more value in me than the rest of the Council, besides the Keeper. She gave me one last alternative, to become a Concept. That Concept, being the First Omni Magician. And I am the reason why every couple of years through history, there will always be an Omni Magician. Though none have been able to find me, besides you."
Lukas: "W-Why..?"
Veladora: "Those who become the Omni Magician of a generation is given high amounts of responsibility. They can be good, they can be evil. Not everything is in black and white as most people assume the Omni Magicians to be. I am but a Concept locked away within this relic, as a soul as my main body was killed off many, many, many years ago. The Council may not see eye to eye with the Omni Magicians, but we are the main reason why this world, can have a balance. Not them. One day you will meet them face to face, but not now. I can tell you haven't learnt a lot as of yet. I am willing to help you, as long as I can go along with you."
Lukas was trying to sink all this information in as he wasn't sure on how to react. Yet again, he could strangely tell she was telling the truth. This strange connection doesn't make sense to him, but he wouldn't mind learning more as he goes along. Since responsibility will be on his shoulders, he will need to own up to it, even though he isn't sure about if he is truly worthy to be an Omni Magician. Veladora could tell he was insecure, but she could see the darkness within him and that it feels really, really familiar to her.
Lukas: "I understand... I accept..."
Veladora smiles as she was glad to have a worthy Omni Magician.
Veladora: "Glad you can agree. Now, there is one more thing I need to do."
She then landed on the imaginary surface of the abyss as she walked towards Lukas, reaching out her hand for a handshake.
Lukas: "Wha..?"
Veladora: "This is to solidify our contract. We will be working together, side by side."
Lukas then hesitantly shook her hand as he was then blinded by a blinding light, only to be standing where he was right next to the pedestal, the relic no longer seen. Kiara uncovered her eyes as she looked around, noticing that the relic is gone.
Kiara: "W-What the..!? What happened to the relic!?"
Lukas could tell immediately that something was wrong as it would appear that everything froze in time when they were hit with the blinding light. Kiara then noticed something.
Kiara: "Lukas... Where did you get that ring?"
Lukas blinked a few times in confusion as he looked down at his right hand, only to notice a strange ring on his hand.
Lukas: "I guess.... I met the First Omni Magician..?"
Kiara blinked a few times, until releasing a confused shriek.
Kiara: "WHAT!!?!??"
Lukas covered his ears, thinking that this is going to be a lot to explain to Kiara on the way back...
