Chapter 10 - Misaki VS Dropscythe Part 1
Shu: "The match shall begin in 3! 2! 1! Begin!"
Lukas began with forming a Mana Barrier around his body, which made his body glow for a moment, then dissipating. This was a form of basic Magic which allows him to protect himself from any Magic based attacks as well as a little physical resistance. Dropscythe charged forward at full speed, applying a bright purple and gold Magic into his fists. He was about to hit him with a punch when Lukas dodged the attack by applying some Wind Magic below his feat to leap into the air, spinning a few times.
Upon precise aiming with his both hands, his left hand released Wind Magic to position himself to then use his right to fire off the same type of Magic to hit Dropscythe directly in the back with a concentrated burst. The pressure from the attack knocked them both away from each other, making Lukas having to try and land back on his feet. Dropscythe wasn't really affected by this attack, slightly making him pissed off. He then charged forward again at the same speed, making Lukas having no choice but to release some Wind Magic to counter his attack.
The Wind Magic that was released from his right hand ended up missing due to Dropscythe dodging the attack. Then Dropscythe landed a clean blow to Lukas's face with a right hook, coated with purple and golden Magic, he applied so much force that it sent Lukas flying, bouncing off of the ground a few times until actually landing on his side. The dust from the field covered the arena, but once it was cleared, they could see Lukas getting back up, though a bruise was very much present on his left cheek.
Within the stands, Ina looked on in interest.
Ina: "Wow, he wasn't kidding when he said he wasn't holding back.."
Amelia: "No kidding, poor Misaki honestly. I can tell he has no experience in comparison to Doppio."
Zaion was just visibly pissed, not saying a single word while watching on. Flayon was enjoying the show before him, visibly excited alongside Gura.
Gura and Flayon: "Amazing!"
Others were just watching with intent since they could tell that this battle was one sided. Zai was just finding this amusing that their classmates are enjoying the show at least, but he could tell that this might get out of hand.
Lukas finally recovered, trying to figure out how to counteract Dropscythe since he could tell that he is no match for him if he gets close. Dropscythe was already running towards him, making Lukas run towards him as well. When they were close to attacking each other, Dropscythe goes in for a punch, making Lukas trying to dodge, which was part of Dropscythe's plan. Going in for a knee kick, Lukas used both of his hands to block it. The force made Lukas stumble back as Dropscythe goes in for a punch, then another, then another, then another, landing another one by knocking him into the ground. Upon impact, Lukas bounced off the ground, feeling pain all over his body. But while Lukas was in the air, trying to recover, Dropscythe grabbed his leg, slamming him into the ground again, then putting his right foot directly on Lukas's chest, making Lukas cough out spit.
Doppio: "Is that all you got Omni Magician!?"
Lukas with his one eye closed due to feeling so much pain, he came up with an idea on the fly. He uses both of his hands by putting them on the ground, using Wind Magic to knock them both into the air, then using Wind Magic from his right hand to spin himself around a couple of times to land a solid kick to Dropscythe's jaw, sending him back to the ground while Lukas lands on the ground, breathing lightly.
Dropscythe got back up, rubbing his jaw a bit, feeling like it stung a bit. Within the stands, Zaion was slightly impressed in his ingenuity to get out of a situation like that.
Kiara: "Woah.. He is rather impressive.."
Calliope just rolled her eyes. Filian found fascination in how agile Lukas was in that moment, thinking about starting her own acrobatics in the school if there is clubs. Zai could tell that things were getting better than expected, but he still knew the exact result that Dropscythe will still against Lukas in the end.
Dropscythe: "Alright.. I'll give you that one. But you ain't getting so lucky the next time."
Dropscythe then charges in again, making Lukas having to try a different strategy. As they charged at each other again, they begun a flurry of attacks between each other. Lukas was mainly focusing on fending off Dropscythe's attacks with counters and going in for possible openings, but Dropscythe wasn't making it easy. Every time Lukas would use Wind Magic for a direct attack, Dropscythe would be prepared for it and just go in for the opening strike when he dodges to attack. This clash between them was getting both of them nowhere near hitting each other properly, they were completely countering each other.
However this didn't last long as Dropscythe was slowly getting more furious as he started to pick up the power behind his attacks and increased his speed, catching Lukas off guard. What happened next Lukas couldn't counter. One clean blow to Lukas's stomach broke his Mana Barrier, making him vulnerable to Dropscythe's attacks. He then went in for multiple blows, a relentless flurry of punches that continued to do damage to Lukas until landing one directly in the centre of his face, sending him into the ground and making him bounce in the air. Everyone noticed that while Lukas bounced in the air, blood left his mouth, showing that Dropscythe was not holding back.
While Lukas was falling, Zai could tell something bad was about to happen and he was about to get up when he saw what had unfolded. Dropscythe's right hand formed a palm while it was being charged up. Upon his thrust, which landed in Lukas's stomach, a propulsion of force was applied, making Lukas fly across the arena until he hit the wall on the other side of the arena. Dust covered the area he crashed into, making everyone kind of worried. When the dust cleared, they could see Lukas unmoving, his eyes were blank white, making Zai worried.
Lukas managed to recover but he fell face first into the ground of the arena, unable to properly move, but he did everything he could to move again, he managed to get back to his one knee, though after he did, he cough out a lot of blood. And when he saw it, his eyes widened in horror, seeing his own blood. His heart began beating faster, fear taking over everything. He was breathing faster and faster, his face becoming slightly pale.
This made Zai completely worried so he did all he could to get to him, but the rest of the students were holding him back, requiring some of the strongest in the class to hold him down, trying to get him to calm down. Though Lukas couldn't hear him, nor what was going on around him. All he could hear was ringing. His eyes shaking everywhere while looking down at his own blood. His mind then started to play back an old memory of his, during the time of the "incident". He was looking at pools of blood that littered the halls. The cloaked figure stood there with his sword out, blood trickling off of the blade. The figure's eyes were blood red, his smirk was dangerous.
The smirk brought shiver down his very own spine. Though his mind went blank, suddenly seeing his dark shadow self, staring back at him. He tried to back away from it but his the shadow was still walking closer to him. But when its hand reached for his face, he returned to the present. Dropscythe was looking at the crowd trying to hold Zai back, but then he felt something ominous and so did the crowd. They all turned to look at Lukas who was able to stand up, though his legs were shaking.
Dropscythe: "What the..."
He suddenly felt chills down his own spine because of this strange feeling. Lukas's body was starting to release his Omni Magic Aura, though it was strange in nature, one Ina could understand as much as Veibae. His Aura had a strange feeling to it, a form of darkness that could relate to one's dark side. When Lukas looked at Dropscythe, the aura was lifting his fringe all over the place, showing that both of his eyes were a dull purple, like there was no life to them.
Dropscythe: "What is this...?"
Before anyone could react, Lukas was already in front of Dropscythe, having a blank expression as he landed a clean right hook. It didn't knock Dropscythe back, but Lukas's hand started to release a pressure of Wind Magic that applied more force into the attack and sent Dropscythe back, in a similar force to what Dropscythe has been using throughout this whole fight. Dropscythe managed to recover and stood his ground, but when he felt his cheek, he was surprised to see that there was a cut there. Somehow Lukas's Wind Magic broke through his Magic defences and was sharp enough to cut through his skin like it was nothing.
Sonzai: "What the hell happened to you..?"
