"You really do take after your parents."

Lando Norris laughed loudly with happiness and joy as he stared at her, his eyes sparkling with such love for her that he never wanted to look away, his heart rapidly beating out his chest to the point where he thought that it was trying to escape and erupt from his chest.

"What gave that away? My looks? My humor? My inability to keep a secret or a straight face? Or the fact that I was late to my own wedding just like they were?"

Makena Kamara-Anderson spoke with such sarcasm that they couldn't help but laugh, wrinkles forming around her eyes as she smiled due to its intensity, her cheeks aching from how long she had been smiling.

"You were two hours late!"

"So were you!"

The pair bickered softly, finding it hilarious that they had both been late to their wedding and therefore ending up missing the ceremony completely.

They had run out of time with the person actually doing the wedding, hence why they were sitting outside a church, waiting for their witnesses to arrive so that they could get married and be able to celebrate it later.

Why was it that on their wedding day that every single road to their venue was being repaired, causing serious delays and making the pair run on foot to the location, only to be two hours late and arriving at exactly the same time.

Whilst the ceremony was small and always had been, the party afterwards would be the complete opposite with all racing drivers and colleagues of Makena being invited to it.

Until then, however, they were just waiting on Makena's parents, Lewis, Seb, and Danny to be the witnesses, with Abu walking Makena down the aisle and Lewis as her maid of honor.

"I love you, my sunshine." Lando smiled as he stared at his soon to be wife, his hand resting on her cheek so that he could use his thumb to brush across her face.

"I love you, Lando."

Makena breathed out softly as she leant forwards to close the distance between them, their lips meeting with such love, care and softness that it would make anybody smile.

A small gasp left the lips of the Kamara-Anderson girl, causing her to shoot back, her mouth open in surprise, her eyes wide in shock.

"Are you okay?" Lando asked, his face flickering with a brief look of fear.

"The baby just kicked!"

The duo glanced down at the bulging stomach of the pregnant bride to be, their hands simultaneously pressing against the fabric of the dress in an attempt to feel the light kicking feeling of their future child.

Their eyes met as they felt it, such joy flooding on to their faces that they had never felt before, easily surpassing the joy that they had felt when Makena had found out that she was pregnant, only a couple of weeks after Lando had won his first World Championship title.

They had decided to not find out about the baby's gender until they were born, so they had come up with a multitude of names that were gender neutral as well as some that weren't. Everybody had wanted to gift them gifts, but most were either pink or blue, so they had asked for yellow instead.

Because everybody loved the color yellow.

Makena was grateful that her mother was so good at sewing because the amount of adjustments needed as she began to show amd her body changed was ridiculous, always needing some part of her wedding dress changed and altered.

The actual dress was picked out by pure luck when Makena had been shopping with Jenson and Seb, with both men instantly loving the dress when she had tried it on, paying for it so that she didn't have to.

They hadn't really been too bothered about getting married, but they had decided to do it anyway since it just meant that everybody would know that they were made solely for each other, never to leave, only to love.

They would be each marrying their best friend, and there was no better reasoning for a wedding than that.

Soon enough, they would have everything, their little family, their friends, their jobs, there was nothing else for them to get or to have. Lando was a World Champion, Makena was a successful journalist and presenter, often being asked her opinion on things happening amidst the Formula one world, as well as other motorsport series.

They had their own home, their families, their parents, and siblings. They had recently adopted both a cat and a dog, the cat being named waffle, and the dog being called Max.

Some people had come up with many suggestions as to why they had called their dog Max, wondering if it was due to Max Verstappen or Max Fewtrell, but they had known the correct answer.

He had been named after Max the dog from the Grinch, all Makena's doing, of course.

They would, in a matter of months, soon become parents which was naturally a scary thought but a thought nonetheless that they couldn't help but look forward to, they would have a child that was half and half of them, a child that was doomed to be an idiot without even having been born yet.

They had every single thing that they wanted.

"I told you that there's no receipts!"

Abu Kamara shouted as the couple stared off at each other whilst standing at the altar, seemingly forgetting that Lando had needed to say the words that would mean that they would be married.

He had gotten lost in her eyes, after all, because who wouldn't. She had the most beautiful of brown eyes, ones that held a sparkle within that nobody was able to see, nobody except Lando. He wondered if that sparkle was only ever for him, his heart leaping at the thought of that.

"I don't need one!" Lando argued back to his future father in law, his smile making the few people within the room smile back at him.

"I do."

The small cheers from their best friends sounded as they were happy for them, having been sat in silence for a little while due to the pair becoming lost, lost within each others souls.

Lando knew that his best friend and soon to be wife was everything to him, she had been his best friend, his confidant, his therapist and biggest supporter long before they had gotten together.

She was his world, his whole solar system and galaxy. She was his everything, especially his sunshine. The reason why he was so happy every single second of the day.

"I now pronounce you... Husband and Wife."
