CHAPTER 4
A beer a day keeps girls away

Ash's pov

I woke up with a strong headache. My life has always given me surprises and shocks but this was the weirdest one. I was, what seemed like in a hospital room. The last thing I remember was blessing Gary with honorable words, when he was emptying the beer bottles in my mouth.

As the ache in my head eased a little, I looked around myself and noticed few things. First, my head was covered with bandages, the only uncovered part were my eyes. Second, there was lying a trophy beside me. And third, my darling phone was in pieces. Also, a girl with Orange hair was sleeping at the foot of the bed. I remember she was the one who kicked Gary's world at the beach, so waking her up wasn't a good idea. But luck has always made fun of me, she slowly woke up.

"So you are finally up! Thank God! You didn't make any moment for the whole night so I thought your game was over, but looks like you are fine." She said with a softness of morning voice. She really sounded innocent which calmed me down.

"Wait! you were here keeping an eye on me for the whole night? Creepy!" I said, worrying for an unknown reason.

"What did you mean by that? Uh....i knew you're a pervert!"

"Umm.... nothing, and I'm not a pervert." I replied.

With a sudden jerk Gary and Alain pushed the for open and entered the room. The stormed towards me as soon as they saw me alive.

"Man Ash, you are back to life!" Gary pulled me and Alain into a group hug.

"Man you should have seen yourself last night, hell drunk you were."Alain said when Gary was done hugging.

"Was I really that drunk? Thanks to you Gary." I said sarcastically.

"Hey-hey-hey! I only made you drink one bottle, you drank the rest four bottles on your own." Gary replied.

My heartbeat stopped for a moment. "What! I drank all five bottles?"

"But that isn't the worse thing you did." Alain smirked placing his arm on Gary's shoulder.

"Dude, you should have seen when I asked you to bite your ass. You were cuddling on the sand hilariously. Ha...." Gary started laughing uncontrollably.

Talk about embarrassment in the early morning. I was totally flushed."Gary! Uh.... I hate you more than my words can explain! And why didn't you stop me Alain?"

"I was.......kinda........busy laughing! But don't worry, that isn't the worse thing you did." Alain said.

"What else I did?" [-_-]

"Then you switched your phone to airplane mode and threw it away yelling- 'fly my phone, fly, fly high!'" Gary said and laughed again.

"But wait, that isn't the worse thing you did." Alain said.

"You phone hit a sexy girl who was on a date with his robust boyfriend. He crushed your phone into pieces and ran behind you. Of course we followed too. And guess what, you ran almost a kilometer along the sea shore yelling, 'wooo hooo it's virtual reality subway surfer!' Really funny it was." Gary told the story so proudly, as if he was performing a social task for the people of the country.

"But that isn't the worse thing you did, trust me, there is more!"Alain said.

"After running for so long, you spotted at a place where a dance competition was in progress. You, thanks to the alcohol, entered the dance floor but couldn't come out of it. Guess what, you actually won the trophy. See it's there!" Gary said pointing towards the trophy I saw a few minutes ago.

"Okay, that explains the broken pieces of my heart...I....I...mean my phone and this freaking trophy. I'm highly grateful to your beer for the embarrassment I received. But HOW THE HELL DID I END UP HERE?" I shouted at them to which they just smiled, signaling me to assume that these isn't the worse thing I did.

"At the beach, when we bought you back to our spot, you saw the girls......And.......And....... HAAA....HAAA...." Gary started laughing like hell.

"And thought those chicks to be zombies so you picked up a wooden log thinking it to be a gun and tried to fight the zombies with it. Trust me, this girl caused all those bandages to you." Alain said about the Orange hair girl.

"Also, when We guys were busy laughing, she was the one who bought you here when you fainted. You should thank her." Gary said.

"The name is Misty. You pervs better watch out or......." she was interrupted by a doctor entering the room.

"Hmm...... Look like you are fine now. Listen kid, you are not supposed to drink alcohol in this age. It's harmful for your health and your whole life. I hope you know what I mean. And the same goes to all the friends of his." The doctor said looking at my friends, fucking friends.

"Yes sir, we will keep that in mind." Alain replied.

"And I'm sorry for my daughter who ended you here. As an apology I invite you to her birthday party tonight. Make sure to come and bring your friends along too." Said the doctor and left the room.

As soon as the doctor left the room, the girl, called misty, pulled me with my collar to say something. She was covered by red aura and her eyes were burning. That isn't how she appeared a few minutes ago. "Don't you dare to show your freaking face in my birthday party."

I couldn't make up a good answer. "I....I......ummm.......happy.....bi......birthday." The shaking of my sound shows how scared I was. Luckily she left the room with that deadly look.

After one minute of silence I turned to the two of my guys to see a grin on their faces. Both were staring at me as if planning on something.

"Ash, being your buddies, we have decided to unite you with the girl of your dream. Gary, that's me, the angle of love, is gonna do everything it takes to put you in that girl's heart." Gary said. For once I was fine with whatever shit he was saying but then I realized what he had said.

"What the...... How the fuck you know that stuff?" I looked aside to see Alain smiling, which gave me my answer. "Why did you tell him, bitch." I said to Alain to which he just laughed.

"I didn't tell him, I told your story to everyone including your mom."

"Seriously!?"

"Nah....kidding. Not to your mom, at least."

"My mom! She must be mad at me because I didn't return home yesterday."

"No. Clemont called her that you were hanging out at his house. So that's not a problem." Alain continued, "the problem is you don't have a good outfit for today's party. do you?"

"Yeah. No wait. I can't. That girl, misty-mystery will kill me!" I said.

"You can borrow mine." Gary said.

"No I'm not gonna wear your stinky clothes." I said.

"That would be good. And I'll teach you how to talk to girls with confidence and delicacy." Alain said.

"Why the duck you want me to go to the party?"

"Coz your girl is going to be there too." Gary and Alain said in union. This was their evil-lovely-plan. Now whenever I think of my friends, I see the reason why Batman prefers working alone.

~~~ The evening~~~

"Let go my arm. Uh.... Clemont! Idiot! I don't want to go."

"You have to come. Your girlfriend is waiting for her Prince charming. Don't make her wait too long." Clemont replied. He was pulling me out of my room and I was trying my best to resist. All four of them were well dressed, ready to party but I wasn't.

"ne laissez pas une autre chienne saisir cette fille , mon cher Ash ." Cilan said waving his hand through his hair in an elegant manner but neither of us could understand what he vomited.

"Hell! When did you learn French dude?" Clemont asked as confused as me.

"I mean to say, don't let any OTHER bitch take that girl, my dear Ash." Cilan explained his statement and I noticed something Fishey in it.

"What do you mean by 'any other bitch' ?" Said I to which he just smiled and turned away.

"Whatever, I'm not going. That's all." I said and unfortunately mom along with Gary entered my room.

"Are you ready ash?" Gary's first question.

Following Gary, my mom said,
"why didn't you tell me that it was a girl's party you are going to. Thanks to Gary he told me about it. So my boy has finally grown up, and hides secrets from her mom. Let's see how long it takes you to let me meet your lucky one."

When my friends decide something, no one, not even Batman, can change their minds. I had to give up and go to the party. The only relief to me is that misty's dad is a doctor so he is going to be there when misty breaks our bones. Thank God!
