Chapter 8

Hey minna~!  So I realized that in this story, the prologue wouldn't make sense (I had no ideas at the time), so I changed it a little bit.  It'll now make sense to this story, but I'm still giving credit to Dovedragneel!

~Jessie's P.O.V.~

When I opened the book, a cloud of dust puffed out.  "I question why Porlyusica has this book," Lucy coughed.

"Right now it doesn't matter, because this book will hopefully help us," I said as I waved the dust away.

"Can you atleast read it?" asked Wendy.  I nodded.

"It's old, but atleast it's in English, so yes I can.  First let me find something about Seasons Village.." I muttered as I flipped through the pages.  Soon I found a legend on it.  "Here's something," I said, pointing to the title.  "The Legend of Seasons Village.."

"What is it?  Read it!" urged Lucy.

        The Legend of Seasons Village

Long ago, there once was a peaceful small village named after its beautiness for each season.  Every time a new season came, the village somehow magically became themed to it.  Red, yellow, and brown leaves falling during Autumn, blankets of white snow in Winter, various flowers bloomed everywhere in Spring, and the best season for the village of all, Summer.  In Summer, the flowers of Spring are still swaying against the warm breeze, and the every day, the weather would be perfect for just lying on the green hills close to the village.  A young woman came to this village for peace and prosperity.  This woman had very special powers, but none of the villagers knew this.  She soon met a young man, who she thought possessed the same powers as herself.  Together, they had a son, in which they named after the most beautiful season in the village because he had fluffy pink hair, like the woman. Their son inherited greater power than his parents.  The woman was overjoyed that her son was special, but the man did not feel the same way.  He accused him of having a dark heart, and wanted to raise him by himself, but the woman refused to let him, and ran away from the village, living in an abandoned cottage.  There she raised her child without him.  For three years, they lived in peace, but the man found them and revealed himself to be a demon named Kurai.  The woman fled from their cottage, and left her son with a dragon.  She erased his memories and gave the boy to the dragon, begging for it to take care of him.  When the dragon accepted, the woman fought Kurai and sealed him away with her own life in Seasons Village.  Before being sealed away forever, it is said that Kurai swore he would come back and get his son to join him on the side of darkness with the immense power he possessed.

"That's all there is.." I whispered softly.  I quietly shut the book, not wanting to see it anymore.

"T-the boy in the story.." stuttered Wendy,  "i-is that.."

"I-it can't be..." murmured Lucy, "right Jessie?"  I gulped.

        "I-I'm not too sure..but.." I said.

"But what?" said Wendy with a worried expression across her face.

"Named after the most beautiful season....fluffy pink hair...raised by a dragon..." Carla mumbled.  "Sound familiar?"

"The most beautiful season in the village would be Summer..and.." Lexi's eyes widened when she realized what that meant.

        "And?" asked Happy, not understanding.

"Natsu translates to Summer.." Lucy explained with a whisper.

"The monsters that were released....wouldn't that include.." Wendy trailed off, but we knew what she meant.

"Natsu's father was the one that attacked Natsu, and casted that dark magic.." I figured out.  "And just now Natsu was talking to him."
