~Lucy's P.O.V.~
"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" he chanted, lunging towards me. I jumped out of the way, making him impact the wall. I hid my keys in my pocket. I knew I couldn't just use them as shields and hide behind them. No, this time I needed to fight hand to hand. I pulled my whip out of my belt. I tried coiling it around Natsu, but he dodged out of the way before it could reach him. "Fire Dragon's ROAR!" A stream of fire blew towards me.
"Kya!" I squeaked, barely missing it as I jumped aside. I quickly recovered and lashed tried again. He tried dodging again, but the tip of my whip slit his cheek. He hissed in pain, and I used this time to my advantage. I lashed out again, and it coiled around him tightly. Unfortunately, he used his fire to melt the whip.
"Heh, do you really think that'll work?" he sneered. I looked at my now burned whip. Now what?
"Can't use your little whip now can you?" Natsu smirked. I gulped, knowing he was right.
"Lucy!" My eyes widened.
Loke?!
"That's right Lucy my love! I'm so happy you know me by voice!" I mentally roll my eyes as I back away from Natsu.
How are you talking to me?
"We're connected by a contract remember?"
But you never talked to me like this!
"Well you've gotten stronger Lucy, but right now that doesn't matter. What does matter is that now that you've gotten stronger, we can now share powers."
Share?
"Yes, share. Want me to show you?"
Suddenly, I felt something very warm surround me. I looked at my hands, and it seemed like there was a soft golden glow all around them.
"Fire Dragon's Brilliant Flame!" I looked up to see Natsu above me. My body suddenly started moving on its own.
"Regulus Impact!" I heard both me and Loke chant at the same time. A golden orb of light surrounded my fist and I used it to block Natsu's attack. Gray smoke emitted as a result of our clash. When the smoke cleared, Loke/I chanted another spell.
"Lion Brilliance!" A blinding yellow light emitted from my body.
"Gah!" Natsu yelled, shielding his eyes. Gaining control of my body once again, I instinctively tackled him down. I pinned his arms down and looked right into his eyes. To my dismay, they were gray.
"Natsu!" I yelled to him. In response, he let out a low growl and struggled against my grip, but with new overflowing magic power, I was able to keep him down.
And yes, I realized what kind of position we were in, but it wasn't the time to blush or feel embarassed.
"Natsu, don't you remember me?" I asked desperately, looking into his gray eyes.
"You are Lucy Heartfilia," he answered, almost monotonously. "And my mission is to kill you." I bit my lip. It was good that he atleast remembered my name, but what else can I do to make him remember? At that moment, an idea popped into my head.
"Do you remember your name?" I asked him, looking straight into his eyes. His eyes widened.
"I..."
"Do you remember why it is your mission to kill me? Or why I know you?" I continued asking him questions as tears that I've held back started to drip down to his cheek. "What about Fairy Tail? Have you just forgotten all of us just because of a spell!?" No answer. "What about Igneel? The one who raised you as a child?" He flinched when I said the name Igneel. "ANSWER ME NATSU!!" I felt a teardrop drip down my chin and disperse onto his chest. Natsu blinked a couple times, and I slightly gasped when I saw his eyes return to its dark brown color.
"L-Luce..?" he whispered. I smiled and was about to say something when..
"LUCY!" I looked up to see Gray, Erza, Jessie, Wendy, and the exceeds all looking at us.
"Wait, minna--" Before I could finish, I was suddenly thrown against the wall. I looked back at Natsu to see his eyes turn back to gray. "N-Natsu..?" I whispered. His salmon-colored hair shadowed his gray eyes as he looked away from me.
"This isn't over," he muttered softly. It didn't sound like a threat however. His voice sounded confused and...scared. I was about to protest, but he disappeared with a puff of black smoke before I could. I sighed and slumped down the wall.
"Bad timing?" Gray scratched the back of her head, earning him a smack on the head from Jessie.
"What he's trying to say is sorry," Erza said sadly. I wiped whatever tears I had left and shook my head.
"No, it's alright," I said with a weak smile. "Why did you come though?"
"Well, for one we wanted to help you," Jessie said.
"And the other?" I asked curiously. Suddenly, the ground we stood on started to rumble.
"That," Lexi said.
"W-what's happening?" I asked shakily.
"Apparently one of the creatures hit the self destruct on this castle," Gray explained.
"S-self destruct button?"
"I don't know, all I do know is that this place is gonna cave in," Gray growled, grabbing ahold of my hand and helping me up. "Now c'mon, we gotta go!" I nodded and ran with them out of the room. My eyes widened as we roamed the ash-filled halls.
"Why is there so much ash than before?" I asked as we ran.
"They were formally the monsters we were fighting," Jessie answered.
"T-they weren't even alive?"
"No, they were. I've figured out what magic this guy uses," Jessie said grimly. "You won't like it though.."
"You can explain it to us after we get out of here," Erza said calmly. We all nodded and ran right out of the exit of the castle, barely making it.
