Chapter 4 - A Friend In Him
"She have not been participating in any sports or club activities at any of her six schools in the past four years. We do encourage our students to take part in them." The headmistress said to Aunt Elaine.
"She is kind of what the kids call these days, an introvert. But she's really good at understanding new languages. Astrid's parents always encourage her to read different kinds of books, you know before the accident. So she can pick up a new language like a snap." Aunt Elaine explained.
The headmistress called her attention. "Astrid." She's not really listening to them, just looking out of the window.
"Astrid, I'm very sorry about your parents. I know you've had a difficult time with all of this. this must all seem strange for you but I think a new place is exactly what you need."
Astrid sighs and nods. They get her new uniforms and books and they lead Astrid to her classroom.
At the classroom she sees the girls who were mean earlier and the boy, with head sticking out of the notebook to look at her. "Class you have a new student joining the class today. Her name is Astrid Dria."
They all stand up and greeted Astrid and she looks for an empty seat. Astrid noticed that there is an empty seat near the boy and she sits there. While the teacher continued with the lesson the boy throws a piece of paper to her.
'hi my name is Quinn, thank you again for giving me my notebook' The note said.
Astrid wrote back to him. 'it was nothing, those girls are really mean to you but don't worry I'll be your friend' She gave the note back to Quinn.
Quinn smiled at Astrid after he read the note. Maybe this new school won't be that bad. Astrid smiled at that thought.

"Man Volleyball is really hard and definitely not adding to my overall enjoyment in this school." Astrid said to Quinn.
It is Gym class and they are playing Volleyball. Quinn patted her back. "It's going to be alright. Just wait, if the teacher hasn't have anything to teach, she'll let us play dodgeball." He said. Astrid smiled at him.
She was called on to replace a member there. Astrid nods to the teacher and they play. Astrid got distracted by her bracelet that he got hit by the ball.
It was those girls from earlier. Sophia and her friend Varia , are laughing at her. Quinn goes to her and helps her up.
"Don't feel bad for being uncoordinated." Quinn leads her back to the bench. "It's genetic, at least that's what I tell myself every time I trip over my own feet."
"That's very comforting Quinn, thanks." Astrid smiled at her new friend.
