"Well Here we are." Astrid has just arrived at her aunt's house that they had transferred to, and they are feeling nervous.

Their parents had recently died in a gruesome car accident and that their bodies were never found. Well, that was the story everyone wanted them to believe and even though it sounded suspicious she believed it anyway.

What was she supposed to do? Bring them back? Reverse the accident? Everyone knows you can't do that.

After settling in her new room, her aunt gave her a present that her father had made for her intended as a birthday gift before he died.

"Thank you Aunt Elaine, I promise to cherish this forever." Astrid smiled at her aunt when she open her present.

While her aunt Elaine went to take care of a few things, Astrid examined her present. Excitedly she tore the wrapping paper and quickly took off the lid. In the box there was a large book called "The Legend Of Arkania", which Astrid remembered from the stories her mother and father used to tell her and her sister when she was little.

She teared up a little when she thought about her parents. "Oh mother, father, I wish you were still here."

Astrid wiped her tears away and continued looking into her present.

And sitting in it, along with a bracelet and a letter from her father; opening up the letter first, Astrid saw a small piece of paper fall out, deciding that she'll check it out later she read her father's letter, after that she took the bracelet and without a moments hesitation, put it on and grabbed the book. Just then, she remembered the piece of paper lying on her bed, untouched, so she open the book on her lap, took the piece of paper and read it.

"I am Astrid". Why is this here? She thought

She placed the letter on her bed and examined the bracelet on her wrist. She doesn't notice the open book glowing.

She looked at the beautiful emerald in the middle of it all, it was clearly the star of the show.
Wanting to take a closer look at the gem, she took it off her wrist and took it in between her thumb and forefinger and then when she touched the gem on the bracelet, it asked for a password, Astrid repeated what was written on the note, "I am Astrid".

Suddenly, Astrid was sucked inside the book; a few seconds later she is transported into a strange land, and finds herself transformed into a princess. Her hair turned brown, she has a rainbow crown and her outfit changes to a beautiful blue gown.

Where the fuck was she?

She falls down to the ground "Ouch, well at least this gown is so soft." She groaned and got up. Astrid got a good look of herself and squealed "Oh my God!! I'm a princess!"

Astrid is excited about seeing the world from the old stories she used to hear when she was little, and seeing the different creatures inhabiting the world. That is if she can find where the kingdom is since she landed on a forest.

While Astrid was searching for the way to the kingdom she sees some kind of fireworks and some voices near where she's going. She goes to find two people likely the same age as her.

"Now I bet you won't hit this next potion." A girl said and the elven boy ready his bow.

"Oh you know I can hit it."

She throws the potion up in the air and the boy makes the arrow with some kind of light and hits the potion making it blow out confetti.

When Astrid stepped closer she stepped on a twig and the boy quickly heard it. She tries running away from the spot but the girl hits her with a potion that traps her inside a bubble.

They wonder who she is and why they haven't seen her around before. "Please let me out. I don't mean to sneak up on you." Astrid pleaded, she heard them whisper some stuff and the girl free Astrid from the bubble.

"It's her, it's the princess!" Exclaimed the elven boy as they got a glimpse of her. The girl looks at Astrid and said "I know you might not know us so we'll introduce ourselves. My name is Ingrid and this is Rowan." The girl - Ingrid pointed at the boy - Rowan.
