Ahem! Okay, now that I have your attention, this is my first rant. EVER.

And bear in mind that this is only for my entertainment. And some pointers to write a more creative character.

So this is going to be about the majority of girl main characters that I have read so far, so place the safety bar over your legs and keep your hands and feet out of the ride at all times. Ready? Let's go!

Now I've noticed something very interesting about these characters. Most of them are teens, but that's fine. What's not fine is that they blow up in every chapter besides the lovey-dovey ones. Yes, I know, I know, teenagers can be... mad at times, but still, can't you write about something different?

I'm mean, sure, they can be on their periods for a few chapters, but only for a few chapters. Because trust me, periods do not last for fifty chapters.

Okay why am I talking about this? Moving on...

Another thing is how the guy always loves to say how their girlfriend is "different" or "special". Pssh, sure. According to the last thirty chapters, your girlfriend is not much different from EVERY SINGLE GIRL THAT I'VE READ ABOUT SO FAR. They all have somewhat the same personalties. If she's so different, then HOW is she different? Show me.

They always have to have a fear or something, like a fear for heights or thunder or bugs. Why? So the guy can comfort her and they can be all loving and whatnot. *deep sigh*

Sure, I'm being a hypocrite. The girl Ivy in my book is pretty average. Don't make the same mistake that I did.

Now about bodies.

Why, why, why in the name of everything good and green, do you have to make the girl look like a supermodel? WHY??? "Oh, because the guy has to be attracted to her looks too!" Mmhmm. Can you please just make her look pretty-ish? Don't make her a supermodel. Because then she will be a Mary-Sue.

I'm not even going to get started on Mary-Sues. Just don't write them. Okay? Okay. (TFIOS moment!)

Last thing: The girl is always SO FREAKIN' NAÏVE. Why?
