Hi. I'm Michelle. I live in New York. I'm African American, with curly brown hair and green eyes. I grew up pretty normal, with a mom, dad, and sister. My mom is white, with brown hair as well, my dad is black with super dark brown hair, and my sister Kayla looks like me, but with black hair and brown eyes. 

I got three amazing best friends in middle school, named Tom, Evie, and Ned. Tom and Evie are twins, and they are both white and skinny with chestnut hair and brown eyes, and Ned is Asian with shaggy black hair and olive eyes.

The only bad thing about starting high school was Izzy, who was the popular kid. She was really smart too. In fact, the only person who was smarter than her was Tom.

I was almost as smart as both of them, and Ned too (although Evie was the closest), but no one could beat Tom. This made Izzy MAD, and she would constantly tease him on how scrawny he was. No one messes with my friends though. 

Honestly, though, the thing is, Tom and Evie's dad is pretty rich. They NEVER show it though. Tom is too humble and doesn't brag about, well, anything, and Evie is mostly the same.

Anyway, when I was starting my junior year, my parents died in a car crash. Me and Kayla were devastated, but thankfully she was 19, so we didn't have to get sent to a foster home. 

Kayla... changed, though. She was still my caring sister, but she started hanging out with a  different crowd. One day, when I came home, she was there, but with a boy. I stared at them, and Kayla turned around smiling. "M, this is my boyfriend, Danny." Danny waved at me. 

Kayla left the room to go get some food, and he... gave me this look. I can't explain it really, but it was awful. I knew then my sister had picked someone double-faced, and, as it turned out later, I was right.
