I woke up with my mental health on trash so my mom made me stay home from school today. An oversized hoodie, that's probably Kihyun's covers my body as I move around the kitchen like a ghost.

My mind wants me to crawl back in bed with no food or liquids but I'm stronger than my dark thoughts.

At least I think I am.

Something small won't hurt, turkey bacon and waffles oughta do it. I've accepted that there'll be good days and bad days, that's life. We can't always have good because then we wouldn't know how to be thankful.

Mental health is tricky and very draining but I've come way too far to let it break me. I feel like shit now but I know it won't last, I got this.

The food has been sitting on the table for a half hour now, the waffle is completely squishy due to the syrup soaking in.

A loud sigh leaves my lips, this house is suffocating.

I slide on some sweatpants and shoes before going for a walk. The cool breeze hits my face making me a bit calmer. My eyes widen as a giant golden retriever comes charging towards me, it pounces on me and I fall. I whine as it begins to lick all over my face.

Me: At least buy me dinner first.

I stand to my feet making sure to pat him politely on the head as I look for his name tag. A frown paints my face when I don't see one.

"MINGGOM!"

I glance over as the black haired boy jogs over to us.

Me: I didn't know you had a dog.

Minhyuk smiles before nodding.

Minhyuk: I adopted him today.
Me: And lost him today too.
Minhyuk: Shut up.

I giggle.

Minhyuk: You playing hooky today too huh?
Me: Yeah, just needed to rest. You?
Minhyuk: Same and to get a companion.
Me: He's adorable.

The dog barks before wagging his tail.

I should've stayed home again, I'm not in the mood at all. The bell rings and I practically run to the cafeteria, once I sit down my head comes in contact with the cool table. Mahogany rubs my head gently.

Mahogany: Not feeling any better huh?

I mumble and she hums.

Mahogany: It's always darkest before the dawn.

I sit up to look at her and she gives me a small smile.

Me: Are you and Kihyun together yet?

She rolls her eyes playfully before biting her burger.

Mahogany: Are you and Hyungwon together yet?

I shrug.

My eyes find the boy in question, he's laughing at something Jooheon said. I smile a little before shaking my head, adorable. Out of habit I look at Changkyun's whose also laughing, his dimples poke out making me swoon.

Also adorable.
