My...Stepbrother? {9}

                “You actually mooned him?”

I nodded, and Zeke exploded into laughter. “That’s fucking awesome!” he cried and slapped me on the back, trying to control his laughter.

“He’s just so moonable!” I cried and Zeke laughed harder.

“Corny, no wonder he freaking hates you!” he said and finally managed to get himself under a little bit of control. He took a lick of his ice cream as I pouted.

We were sitting in the ice cream shop together. My mom had decided to actually let me out of bed today, and I was thrilled to be out of that evil contraption. I was not that kind of kid that could just lie around all day.

“Well, I’ve kind of been avoiding him ever since I did that. I’ve succeeded in not seeing him at all!” I said triumphantly. Hell yea; my ninja skills kicked all ass!

“Kory, you do know you’ve only managed to avoid him because he stayed over a friend’s house last night, right?” Zeke asked, looking extremely amused.

“…Psh. Of course I knew that. How could I not know that? My ninja skills totally sent him there,” I said with a dismissive hand wave. Okay, so maybe I wasn’t as sneaky as I thought…Zeke didn’t need to know! I would never tell him! MY LIPS WERE SEALED!

“You didn’t know, huh?” he asked smugly. WILL. NOT. TELL. THE. TRUTH.

“Yea, I had no clue,” I mumbled. Gosh! Zeke was like a master interrogator or something!

“That’s what I thought,” he said, leaning back and laughing a little before licking his ice cream more. “Shuddup,” I mumbled and licked my own ice cream.

“So, do you want hang out at my house when we’re done eating our ice cream?” Zeke asked eagerly after a few minutes of comfortable silence.

I smiled and shrugged. “Sure!” I said brightly and we finished up our ice cream. We stood up, threw out our napkins, and left the ice cream shop.

“Trace won’t be there?” I asked cautiously as he began to lead towards wherever he apparently lived.

Zeke laughed and shook his head. “No Kory; Trace isn’t at my house,” he said, rolling his eyes and playfully shoving me.

I grabbed his hand and he laughed a little and bent over. I hopped onto his back and he steadied me before walking again.

“Yay! Zeke you’re the best!” I cheered.

He blushed slightly before clearing his throat and grinning. “Yea, I know,” he said smugly. I rolled my eyes. “Oh brother,” I grumbled.

“So do you, like, have a boyfriend?” Zeke asked curiously.

“No! I’m single and ready to mingle,” I said with a wink. “What about you?”

He blushed again and shook his head. “No, I’m single,” he mumbled.

“Aw! A good looking lad like you single? This will not do! Who do you have your eyes on Zeke? I shall help you get them!” I cried in determination.

He blushed harder and shook his head. “No, that’s okay Kory. They don’t like me back and I know that,” he said with a sigh.

“Aw Zeke!” I said with a frown. “Then pull their stupid head out of their ass so they can see you and like you! This is why I don’t like girls. They’re so dumb!” I shook my head. Dumb girls! Not liking adorable Zeke!

Zeke laughed a bit uncomfortably and cleared his throat again. “Okay, okay. Enough about my nonexistent love life. What’s going on with you and Trace?” he asked curiously.

Glad he probably couldn’t see my blushing face, I forced an amused laugh. “What’s going on is my mom married his dad and now we’re stepbrother and he hates me and probably wants to kill me for mooning him. That’s all. I just want to try to get along with him since we’re going to be living together and everything,” I said with a shrug.

The truth? I had no idea what was going on with me and Trace. I mean, he was so freaking sexy! I couldn’t help but be attracted to him! Seriously, how the hell could Zeke be best friends with the kid for so long and still be straight?!

Realizing I should probably push thoughts of Trace and his sexiness from my mind before something more than my knee was digging into Zeke’s back, I fished around my brain for something to talk about.

“Hey Kory, why is there-” Zeke started.

“I DON’T HAVE AN ERECTION I SWEAR!” I screamed automatically, snapped out of my thoughts.

“Oh believe me, I would know if you did,” he said, making a face that said he thought I was the weirdest kid he had ever met in his entire life. Well how rude! I was perfectly normal, thank you very much!

“Uh…right. Sorry. I was distracted thinking about something. OH GOD. Not thinking like that! Oh shit. What I meant was that I…uh…GHERKIN!” I cried.

“Gherkin? Isn’t that, like, a pickle or something?” Zeke asked in confusion.

I shrugged. “I don’t know. I think it might be a cousin of the cucumber. Anyways, you were saying?”

“Uh…I was just going to ask you why there’s a K instead of C as the first letter of your name. I mean, don’t you usually spell Kory with a C?” he asked.

I shrugged again. “Talk to my parents about that one. I guess my mom just liked spelling Kory with a K. Get it? Like okay? BECAUSE I’M KORY AND I’M O-FUCKING-KAY!” I cried joyfully.

“And I’m Zeke and I’m O-FUCKING-DEAF!” he whined. “Now stop yelling in my ear or I’ll drop you on your sorry ass!”

I gasped in horror. “No! That’s where my future boyfriend’s dick will go!” I slapped a hand over my mouth and blushed. “I mean, uh, that’s where I…poop…out of…Yea! You don’t want to hurt my poop, do you?”

Zeke raised an eyebrow at me. “Kory, you are so weird,” he said with a sigh, shaking his head. I pouted. “I am not!” I whined.

Why did everybody think I was weird? I was just as normal as anybody else! Goodness. People nowadays! They were so crazy.

Zeke stopped in front of a house and my eyes widened a little. “This is your house? Is everyone affiliated with Trace rich?!” I cried. Why wasn’t I rich? I wanted to be rich too! Oh wait…I was Trace’s stepbrother now…and he was rich…MY DREAM CAME TRUE! FUCK THE LOTTERY; MY STEPDAD WAS RICH! Yea, be jelly bitches. Way to go mom!

“I’m not rich,” Zeke said, laughing and starting up the driveway. He let us into the house and we kicked our shoes off, me still clinging to Zeke’s back.

Zeke walked into his kitchen and a woman glanced up at us from a computer screen. “Hi Zeke,” she greeted.

“Hi mom. This is my friend Kory. He’s Trace’s new stepbrother,” Zeke introduced and I smiled and waved at her.

“Hello Kory,” she said and her lips twitched a little. Well, what a wonderful smile you have Mrs. Zeke’s mom…

Zeke carried me out of the kitchen and upstairs to a bedroom. He kicked the door shut and dropped me on a bed with an apologetic smile.

“Sorry about my mom. She’s a little…yea,” he said and rubbed the back of his neck. “Trace’s mom was pretty much the same as my mom.”

“It’s fine. Hey Zeke, what was Trace’s mom like?” I asked, suddenly wanting to understand Trace better. Was his mom the reason he was such an asshead?

Zeke shrugged and sat next to me. “She was just always working. Work was more important than her family. My mom at least takes breaks sometimes to spend time with me and my dad, but Trace’s mom never did. Trace said her neglecting him for work didn’t bother him after a few years, and I believe him about that. I really don’t think he cared anymore. But I do think that’s a huge reason why he’s such an asshole,” Zeke said with another shrug.

“Oh!” I said awkwardly. “What a lovely room you have. Is this color baby blue?” I asked, poking the wall before Zeke could turn around and ask me about my family.

Zeke raised an eyebrow at me. “Uh…Kory? My walls are red.”

I pat him on the head. “Of course they are Zeke. Did you take your pills this morning? I think you’re crazy. Poor boy,” I said sympathetically.

He rolled his eyes and swatted my hand away. I smiled innocently at him. He opened his mouth to say something, but his doorbell rang. He sighed and stood up, grumbling about FedEx and heading downstairs to answer the door.

I looked around his room curiously. There were some pictures of him with Trace and Juliet. Pictures of the high school’s soccer team, with Trace as the goalie and Zeke grinning next to him. In the sports team pictures, Trace had an odd look on his face. It was…it was almost a happy look. He was definitely content. Not exactly smiling, but not glaring like he normally was. It made me smile to myself to see. He looked adorable!

I continued to eye the picture as I heard Zeke come back into his bedroom. I just didn’t want to take my eyes off Trace’s adorable face until I had that look etched in my brain for later fapping mat-

Stepbrother, Kory. He’s your stepbrother. Not your dirty thought during your alone time.

                “You.”

I yelped a little and spun to face a furious looking Trace. Zeke shrugged innocently from behind him.

“I said he wasn’t going to be at the house when we got here. I never said he wasn’t going to come later,” he cried defensively, seeing the look I was giving him.

Trace advanced at me and I backed up on Zeke’s bed nervously.

“Now Trace, don’t completely kill him. I don’t want to have to wipe his blood off my bed and walls,” Zeke said, frowning deeply.

“Gee thanks Zeke! You traitor!” I whined. I glanced at Trace’s furious expression and gulped, backing up even more. “Trace? Trace, don’t kill me! My mom will know! She’ll be pissed off! SHE SAID FUNERAL ARE EXPENSIVE! DON’T KILL ME! I’M TOO YOUNG AND ADORABLE!” I shielded my face as he reached me.

“I’m not a faggot like you! I don’t want to see your ass!” he roared.

“I was just giving you a nice sight! It was better than my middle finger!” I cried desperately as he yanked me off the bed into a standing position.

He shoved me roughly and I fell back on the bed. “Get up. Let’s go. We’re going back to the elementary school to play soccer,” he said flatly, turning and leaving Zeke’s room.

I stared after him. Zeke shrugged helplessly and I pouted. “Why would you push me down if you were just going to tell me to get back up?!” I cried before sighing and getting up to head to the elementary school with him and Zeke.
