Chapter Three

I was about to shake my head no, but I had faith we could win this.

"If we work together as a team, then yes." I saw him tense as I said team, and I understood how he felt.

"Okay. I have a question though." He looked down, loading the shotgun I gave him.

"Okay, ask away."

"If I die, will you remember me?" I stopped what I was doing, and looked at him. He was looking straight at me, his eyes tearing up.

"Of course I will. Why?"He took a step closer to me, and took my hand.

"Because, this isn't my first time seeing you here." I was confused at what he said.

"What do you mean?" He shook his head, looking at something behind me.

"STOP FLIRTING!" Voodoo shouted. Psycho then punched him in the gut.

"Do you want people to know we're here?!" Psycho asked Voodoo, kneeling beside him.

"No." Voodoo groaned, clutching his stomach.

"Okay, now that that's finished, where to now?" Psycho asked, looking at Falcon and I. I loaded my rifle, and noticed that it was a single shot.

"Shifty shafts." I answered. "We'll be able to get decent loot, and pick off anyone that is there."

Psycho, Voodoo, and Falcon all looked at me, their eyes wide.

"What?" Voodoo pointed at something behind me, and I turned. A clinger. I ran towards Falcon, pulling him down with me. Voodoo and Psycho moved behind a barrel, and waited for the clinger to go off. Falcon tried to get up, but I pulled him down.

"Wraith, st-"

We all turned to see the edge of the ship explode, leaving an open gap.

"I can't have you dying on me now, can I?" I asked Falcon. He smirked as I helped him up.

"My favorite color is blue, by the way."

"Okay, why would I need to know your favorite color?" He looked at me, and I was wondering if he was trying to trigger something in my brain.

"Because, it'll help you remember me."

Okay." I replied, confused at what he was saying. I picked up my sniper rifle from the ground, and remembered something.

"Wraith." I turned to find a cute, blonde haired boy look at me. We were both barely 14, and we somehow found our way onto the battlefield.
"Yes?" I asked. He held up two pistols, and smiled.
"We can fight other people now!" I walked up to him, and grabbed one of the pistols. I checked the chamber, and frowned.
"There's no bullets in here, you doink." I tossed him the gun, and looked out the window. Two older guys were approaching the house. I held my finger up to my mouth, and the boy nodded. Then, I hear a door open.

I felt a tap on my shoulder, and found Falcon looking at me, concerned.

"Everyone ready?" Psycho asked. We all nodded, and she gestured for me to lead the way.
