Others' belief in me

Was something quite important

To take me right there

To let my dreams come true.

Their belief carried lots of weight

It was enough to carry me off to far skies

It could dip me deep into its depths

It was just so powerful.

I never realised

One day if I by chance commit a huge mistake

This said belief could burst into sawdust

That it could cloud their judgement of me

That mistake withheld more power than their belief in me

I never realised

This alone

Was the saddest thing to have ever happened to me;

People loved what I did

Not me.

'

If they really did love me,

They would accept me however I am,

Flaws and all.

'

A highly imperfect someone who is bound to do wrong

Everyday

Or in the long run

Is learning how to live.

'

We don't come knowing it all

Into this world.

'

If you truly love from deep within you

Anyone or anything

A wrong the person does

Should never ever

Taint your image

Of that someone.

'

Do you always do right?

'

If yes, I applaud you.

You are an alien.

Or most probably God in disguise.

Humans can never be perfect.

They are the most imperfect beings to exist

In this vast universe.
