(My POV)
When Sonic and I woke up we noticed that we were in a cage. I could hear the donut Lord talking to someone on the phone as Sonic helped me out of the cage.

(Sonic) Donut Lord?

After Sonic said that Tom spun around really fast to look at us. I honestly was not surprised when I saw how shocked he looked. I honestly couldn't blame him considering anthropomorphic animals are not the most normal thing to come by on this planet. Though I was starting to get annoyed with the fact that he was just staring at us.

(Me) No offense donut Lord but I'm pretty sure it's considered rude to stare.

(Tom) Why do you keep calling me "doughnut Lord"?

Sonic and I both explained the reason why we call him that and after that we heard something outside. Tom thought that the sound was coming from some sort of mothership and then told us how he didn't want to get... probed.

(Sonic) You think you're in trouble? I'm not even wearing pants!

After a bit of arguing Sonic and I then decided to give him the puppy eyes.

(Me) Please?

(Sonic) It's life or death.

After that, we were finally able to convince him to help us. It took a while, especially with Dr. Eggman deciding to invite himself in to donut lord's home, but we were finally able to leave the house the adventure had finally begun.
