The sky blue hedgehog stood in her room, holding onto the vial of blue liquid. A liquid ingested so frequently that it became almost like medicine.

She played with the liquid, making circular motions with her hand. She watched the liquid sloshing around the vial. The hedgehog sighed in boredom and brought it up to her mouth.

Her ears suddenly twitched, picking up on a strange sound. The sky blue hedgehog looked around her room, trying to determine the source of the sound.

It was..metallic. Something or someone was definitely stumbling around.

She tightened the grip on the vial, keeping it close to her body. As she settled down to pay more attention to the noise, it suddenly came to a stop.

The hedgehog waited for a few seconds, the silence settling in the room.

Frowning, she set her sights on the vial with the blue liquid. She began drinking, wincing a bit at the taste. No matter how many times she'd drank it, she couldn't find out why her dad wouldn't improve the taste.

As she downed the liquid, a more quiet metallic noise startled her. She pulled the bottle out of her mouth and pointed her free hand behind her.

She had just heard the vent open. There was no mistake.

Feeling the water form in her palms, the hedgehog turned around to look at whatever had broken in.

Her green eyes met with startled teal-green ones.

The hedgehog couldn't bring herself to attack the intruder. After all, she hadn't seen anyone like her. The intruder was a white...

Actually, the green eyed girl didn't know what the intruder was. She certainly wasn't a hedgehog. The white female had larger ears and purple wings on her back.

The two females stared at each other, the shock in the intruder's eyes disappearing and being replaced by confusion. "..Sonic?..." she sounded unsure of the name that had left her mouth.

The sky blue hedgehog tilted her head. That name....

Hadn't she heard her father say it before?..

The white female pushed the vent open completely, slowly placing it on the ground. She pushed herself up and sat down on the floor.

The sky blue hedgehog slowly pulled her hand back, the water manifested in the air disappearing completely. "Who?....What..are you?.."

The intruder seemed to smile, tilting her head. "I'm Rouge the Bat." She answered with certain elegance. The hedgehog thought her voice was alluring. "You seem to be cooped up in here all alone, who might you be?"

"My name is Ariana. Ariana the Hedgehog."

Here's a little fanfic for the gals first meeting!

Here we can see how sheltered Ariana has been after being kidnapped by Eggman. She has knowledge of what the outside world looks like, but she's never stepped foot outside.

She's never seen anything other than metal walls or floors.

Eggman taught her what she is, a hedgehog. Naturally, he told her he is a human being and the rest of the world is full of robots.

Ariana has never questioned her dad about this, living out eighteen years of her life trapped inside his base.

Because of this, you'd naturally understand her confusion and hesitation in attacking Rouge. Ariana has never seen someone looking relatively similar to herself and the bat didn't look like the robots Eggman claimed were roaming around the outside.

Rouge was certainly shocked when she broke into the base, not expecting anyone inside. Then the whiplash set in once she saw 'Sonic' inside.

Same quill style, same eye color, and same height.

Naturally, she quickly realized her assumption was wrong. The hedgehog was clearly a female with a lighter complexion and brighter quills.

Still, the resemblance was uncanny in her eyes.

After Rouge leaves Ariana on her own, the hedgehog starts getting curious about what Eggman is doing.

She starts sneaking around to look for clues, the more information she gains the more her reality starts to crack.

He's lied to her. All her life.

She's not the last hedgehog. The world isn't overrun by robots.

Ariana now wants the truth from her dad, getting more concerned and suspicious when it seems that Eggman is doing everything in his power to keep her from finding anything about Sonic.

Sonic the Hedgehog. Her twin.
