Poetry has been my getaway from reality
Now that I'm finally happier
Do I still need to express?
Do I still want to escape?

It got me through some of my darkest times
It has always gave me a voice
It begin with a person I liked
Now it is about loving myself

I always thought once I was over it
I wouldn't be able to write
Because it was the pain and suffering
That needed to be heard

Everything has to end somewhere
This is the end of this journey
But endings make beginnings
Let's see where this road takes us
