Upon waking up today, there seem to be
Something different in my spirit and I might agree.
I saw my face and it was sparkling with shine
I wasn't scared to look in the mirror for the first time.

It appeared to be a sudden change in my self-esteem
Unsure if I should pinch myself or smile in gleam.
I'm trying my best to put it into words
It feels like a nice morning with chirping of birds.

All the pain is left in the past to stay
I presume this is the start of self-healing
Because Today I could look in the mirror and proudly say
"You look ravishing!"

Although I have never written a happy poem
This is the best I can do before feeling numb
Today was one of the happiest days of my life
I will keep on saying this for as long as I'm alive.
