34 : In The Hole

Everything was a blur and happened in the spur of the moment, Prince Aries was dropped and before his 'Thud' came, Cassius was right in front of Lord Christopher - strangling him.

"I always wanted to kill you." With those words, Cassius lifted him off the ground and threw him to the wall where the priest and Prince Aries had fallen.

Lord Christopher grunted and tried to get up but Cassius wasn't going to let that happen, he was in a flash upon him once again and grabbed him by his hair, and threw him on a table placed for guests causing it to break in multiple places.

A female guest that was close to the table yelped and jumped away. The atmosphere was already thick with fear, it had just gotten more dangerous.

Cassius did not care how they - Xena and Stephen - died or what they did, the only thing he was able to register was the word 'dead' and he was ready to kill.

The guest started running outside the room until Cassius decided that they were not going anywhere. He closed the big doors and grabbed one woman.

She had ginger hair, just like Xena. And Without a thought, Cassius's teeth break into her skin and ripped her flesh apart.

A scream escaped her lips and a sob came from one of the guests - probably her mother.

All the while Cassius ate, lord Christopher tried to get up, collecting his limbs that had surprisingly not broken.

Cassius threw the rest of the woman's body on the ground and then looked at lord Christopher again.

Cassius had blood dripping down his canines, his hair messy but still, his clothes intact. He even wore a shirt for Xena.

"All hail Lord Christopher," Cassius said with a smirk and walked closer to him. All other puny humans were stuck to the wall, not moving an inch.

Cassius knelt down to the man and was about to rip his heart out when he spoke,

"Cas-" Cassius punched him straight in the face.

"It's King to you." The old man had probably broken some teeth with that powerful punch.

Lord Christopher still didn't use the title due to his ego.

"If you kill me, a spell would be put into action and all your kind will die slowly one by one." He taunted and Cassius's eyes widened.

Once again, he had to give up his desires only for his kind.

"All hail King Cassius." And the guy blacked out.

Cassius was fuming and unknowingly, he broke lord Christopher's arm. Before leaving the room, he broke every damn thing and then left, smelling the necklace out.

He ended up in front of a door and bent down to pick the necklace from the ground. He could not believe it.

She was actually dead!

He will rip everyone apart. Everyone.

Something told Cassius that Stephen was still alive. He could not die by human ways that easily. He had to be alive or Cassius would bring the whole world down. But Xena?

She was too weak and innocent to the world. Who knows what they had done to her? How they had killed her.

Cassius' heart pained thinking she was gone.

Cassius clutched the necklace between his palm and groaned, he opened his wings in a flash and took off to his kingdom.

Stephen and Xena were far away from Lord Christopher's castle and were on their way to Cassius. Stephen still had Xena in his arms as he ran in an unknown direction.

Until the ground decides to swallow them whole. Xena yelped as Stephen took her down with him in the pretty deep hole.

Stephen still hadn't acquired all his powers including his wings so he was of no use yet and neither was Xena since she did not hold any powers.

She was useless just as much.

Xena groaned as she got up from over Stephen and an ache started in her leg. The thick weird dress she wore did nothing to help her uncomfortableness. The white dress already had spots of dirt on it.

"Are you okay?" Xena asked Stephen who sat up and rubbed his rear bottom.

"Yes." He gave a curt nod and started to look around for an escape.

Xena sighed and involuntarily her hand went up to her neck where her necklace was supposed to be resting but it wasn't there.

"Oh my god!" Xena muttered as she couldn't find her necklace.

"What happened? Are you bleeding?"

"The necklace Cassius gave me, I lost it." Stephen face palmed, he thought it was something far more serious.

"We will have to wait for someone to get us," Stephen said super bumped, and sat back down on the dirt. Xena looked at him with a frown.

In the end, she also sat on the dirt, not caring if she dirties the dress or herself.

They were both stuck in a large hole dug into the ground.

Meanwhile, Cassius had already reached his kingdom, fuming he reached Karen who was meditating.

"Leave us," Cassius muttered to Edmund who stood guarding her.

"King." He acknowledged in respect and left them alone.

Karen broke her meditation and turned around to look at Cassius who was fuming. Cassius didn't just want to break the news that his brother and a human who was with him might potentially be dead right now, it would throw his kingdom into a frenzy.

So Cassius took another approach.

"Did you witches plan to do any spell that would be activated if Lord Christopher dies?"

"Yes." She gave a curt reply, "But, it wasn't done. One, because I was not there and Two, because the human was not sacrificed."

"So what lord Christopher said . . ."

"Was probably a lie," Karen said and Cassius suddenly smirked. He turned around without another word and walked to the balcony that gave him a view of his whole kingdom.

"We are going to war! We will finally have revenge!" For his parents and his Xena - as for his brother, he knew that he was alive. He better be.

The people came out from their houses at Cassius's loud voice and all the warriors kneeled.

Only ten warriors were enough to annihilate Lord Christopher's whole kingdom.

Stephen and Xena were still trapped until some red Indians decided to capture them. It definitely sucked to be them. It just wasn't their day.

Edit : I was told that 'Red Indiana's is an offensive term. I am sorry if it seems inappropriate to anyone but just saying - I searched on the internet about the old times and 'red Indians' popped up.

So I used it.
