13 : A Slight Push

A new day for Xena was always a new start to a wonderful life but for Cassius, his day was always brooding as he watched his chipmunk - Xena - chirp around happily.

How is she always laughing? So energetic!? Does she not have a switch off button? Cassius wondered.

He had already freshened up and stretched his limbs.

"Ah!" A moan escaped from his lips as he cracked his bones one after another.

His days on the couch were becoming oddly uncomfortable and his body had started to ache even more. It was not even this bad in the forest when Cassius used to sleep on a tree. Heck, it could even be classified has comfortable.

Cassius' brother, Stephen, was yet to make an appearance but Cassius didn't care anymore. His heart pained from the inside thinking that his brother had lost his royal wings and was now defending a human.

A low life human!

Cassius was too defending a human but his situation was different, he was a slave and a bodyguard but Stephen had a free choice to walk away without any strings pulling him back.

Cassius did not had the freedom. He was bound to this woman as long as she wished and he could do nothing about it.

Cassius lowered himself on the floor and did a quick hundred pushups, trying to decrease the stiffness in his aching muscles, While Xena was in her bathing chambers, humming her favorite melody.

She moved under the waterfall-like shower, allowing the water to glide over her smooth skin and platter on the tiled floor. Raising her arms and swinging her hips, she danced.

Xena was happy and she could not contain it.

Cassius had agreed and promised to do this little trust test. She could finally get him to trust her. Finally.

Suddenly the door to the bathroom chambers was pushed off its hinges and Xena immediately ppl pushed herself against the wall.

Her eyes were wide and heart bounced back and forth in her ribcage. Who in their right mind -

Even though she had doors around her giving her privacy but it definitely was not a good feeling when you are standing naked and someone comes in the chambers announced.

Xena turned off the shower quickly and slowly opened the sliding door a little, peeking through through the gap. Their Cassius stood over the marble sink, puking his guts out.

What happened?

Was he okay?

Why is he puking his guts out?

Could he be sick? It was probably unheard of a Swifter - whose immunity is so strong - to get sick.

Xena's stomach churned and she too felt the urge to vomit after staring at the yellow liquid with some solid things here and there going down the toilet.

Xena immediately pulled her bathrobe that was hanging a few inches away from her on. The soft woolen material sliding on her body with ease.

Immediately stepping out, she rushed to Cassius who continued to spill his guts.

"Hey, Hey, Hey!" Xena immediately started to pat his lower back. She knew that if she would pat any higher on his shirtless wingless back, he was going to lash out. No matter what his situation was, He didn't like anyone getting close to his weak point.

Especially humans.

Her pats were shaky as she was still not sure if it was okay to touch him since the last time she touched him, she was pinned to the wall.

"What happened?" Xena asked wide-eyed when Cassius finally stopped but he only shook his head.

"I am fine, get your hand off of me." He grumbled out rudely and shrugged her hand off his back. Glancing in the mirror one last time, he left the bathroom after rinsing his mouth.

Xena watched with her eyes narrowed and slowly started to pull her robe off after closing the door and then pulled on her clothes.

All the while thinking about Cassius.

She today wore a lilac straight silk dress that ended just below her knees and had network on her torso. Her sleeves ended to her elbows and had a semi turtle neck.

In short, the dress was gorgeous, elegant, and modest.

Xena pulled her hair in a half clipped updo and then walked out.

She spotted Cassius sitting on her bed with his leg pumping up and down. Restlessly. He was wearing a tank with a slit cut into the back for his wings.

Would you look at that! Development!

The second Cassius' eyes landed on Xena, his canines started to hurt again and he groaned.

Why did this woman want to die so soon!

He wanted to bite into her soft flesh and tear it apart. He wanted to taste her. Even if it was by ravishing her raw in the most shameful way.

He wanted to tease her skin and play with it. Make her writhing in pleasure beneath him but he had to control himself. He cannot and will not do it. At least, not yet.

He closed his eyes to control himself and it worked when his gums stopped hurting and his eyes went back to their normal color.

The woman in front of him was drop dead gorgeous and even he could not deny the fact.

He stood up after opening his eyes and looked at Xena's face, trying his best to not let his eyes wander anywhere else.

So hard!

"So, what's up first Princess?" Xena smiled knowing that Cassius was going to go through with all this but she was also worried by the little episode that happened in the bathroom.

"First tell me what happened to you moments ago?" Xena cut straight to the chase.

"We are not that far in the trust test to share our personal issues." Cassius snapped and Xena realized they were not going to get anywhere if she continued this topic so she dropped it.

"Okay, then you can give me your first trust test then I will give you one, and then you will give me one again. We can change turns if you want."

"No, I want you to do my test first." Cassius rudely rejected but Xena only nodded with a huge smile.

Why is she smiling like a creep. Cassius wondered.

"So, what do you have in mind?"

"We are going flying." Xena's heart stopped for a couple of seconds but that was when she remembered that she was the one who initiated this and if she wouldn't do this, Cassius won't have faith in her.

She cannot - will not - go back on her words.

Cassius was waiting for an outburst or anything that impersonated fear from but what he got was a smile and his eyes widened for a moment.

No outburst?

"Let's go."

And that's how they ended up on the top of the tower of the castle and that's when Xena's fear actually came.

"It's simple, you are going to jump and I will see when I will have to catch you." He was practically telling her to do suicide.

Well damn.

"I-I ... Um-" Xena wanted to back off but she didn't want to as well.

"You are not going to back off, are you now?" Cassius teased and Xena slowly stepped away from the scary edge.

"N-"

"Okay then." And Cassius pushed Xena off the edge and she screamed. Her heart was almost in her mouth as she flailed her arms in the air, not knowing what to do.

I wish I could just sprout wings and fly! Xena wished with all her heart.

"Cassius!" She screamed loudly - while almost choking on her spit - and in an instant, Cassius had scooped her in his arms and slammed her head in his chest.

She didn't even know she was crying until she ruined Cassius' shirt with her snot. She had her arm tightly wrapped around his neck and she hiccuped.

Xena was wordless. She couldn't speak. All her ability to speak had suddenly vanished, her body was shaking uncontrollably and her mouth had went dry.

Slowly, Cassius landed both of them on the ground and when his bare feet were planted down, only then did he slowly lowered Xena on the ground.

He lay her flat on the ground, giving her time to recover while he also laid down beside her, looking at the blue sky.

Xena beside him sat up. She was angry but also flabbergasted. She was not happy about the fact that Cassius had just pushed her down a very tall tower.

She could have died.

A minute passed. Then another and then after a whole five minutes later, Xena was calm. She had cursed Cassius in multiple languages in her head for scaring her to death like that.

"My turn." She murmured to Cassius. She was going to test his patience.

"Let's go to the lake." Xena was suddenly so confident, she was even ready to strip for this. She was not as naive as everyone made her look. She was just as bad as them all.

Even more if possible.

She had killed people also and stripping should not be a big deal in front of Cassius. He was a tease anyway.

This was Xena being careless.

Even though Xena was a little self-conscious, she wanted to know if he would ever give in to his animalistic instinct and do something that was far from modest. She wanted his trust as well.

Trust that he can control himself in the most heated moments.

Trust that he would never do something as such as forcing her to . . . Do something she is not willing to do. *Cough* Intimate *Cough"

"Why the lake?" Xena only shrugged at the question and clenched her wet palms out of nervousness.

It was time for the truth. Can Cassius control his lust around her?
