1 : An Adonis With Wings
1 : An Adonis With Wings
He sat, alone on the hill as the stars shimmered down on his half-naked body. His chest displayed to the eyes of lurking creatures.
His flesh available for any animal to feast but none did. They knew that this creature would tear them limb from limb without breaking a sweat.
It was safe for the lurking creatures to stay away from him.
The thing on the hill looked like an Adonis with wings expanded behind him. Those pure white wings shimmered behind him. Sparkling like stars.
Truly a sight to admire.
Even the monsters had the most gorgeous things.
With one swoosh of his wings, he could create a gush of wind so hard that a normal person had to hold on to something for his dear life so that he wouldn't fly away.
This creature had claws so sharp that they could easily cut through a bone. His canines were so sharp that he could easily bite the skin off.
And his eyes, those captivating green orbs would pull a man to their own death. His eyes would turn to slit but then turn to large doe that would make a man question his morals.
And his strength? He had the strength of a hundred men. No one dared to challenge him. Who in their straight mind would?
This creature was the definition of perfect, strong, and intelligent.
His species were known to be the best creation but no more. Since the humans so sneakily tarnished his whole species. Backstabbed using their only weakness. Literally.
The only weakness they had.
It was the place from where their wings would sprout out and show their absolute divinity.
If someone were to massage them there, they would be as if they were high. Drunk. Not in their senses and immediately become vulnerable.
Their most vulnerable area was the most valuable.
And those scrawny humans took advantage of their goodness and trust.
One of the reasons why this adonis had such trust issues, even though his kind were actually really friendly.
But if someone were to make them angry, they would rip them to shreds.
The Adonis' species loved to eat flesh. Human flesh. There soft skin with that tasty red fluid that they would devour.
They ate mostly women and infants.
Their flesh was infamous for being soft. Too soft. Their perky breasts and soft belly with the round bottom and those thighs were exceptional.
They were their favorite meal.
They won't leave a chance to sink their canines in their bodies and tear them apart. To devour their flesh again and again.
He sat alone on the hill. Every night.
He would think of multiple ways to tarnish and completely destroy the humans' species except for the women of course.
How could he kill women without having fun? His favorite meal. Also, he needed something to fulfil his needs and produce babies for him so that he could once again revive his species.
The same species the humans destroyed.
One thing he valued most was the freedom that he had and he was adamant about keeping it so that was one of the reasons why he kept out of the people's eyes.
He slowly hummed and unknown tone as he admired the sky full of stars.
While a few good miles away stood a girl, human girl, stood with her small pocket scope - a new invention of that time - Staring at the winged creature.
She had been doing it for quite some nights. She first saw this creature when she had fought with her father once again and she ran from her castle.
Ended up near the hill and got a glance of the amazing specimen.
She knew what it was. Of course, they were taught about them in school after the great war.
That species was no secret.
She didn't know if he was the last of his kind but she wanted to keep him a secret. To keep his knowledge to her self.
"Xena!" Her father's voice bellowed in the house and she sighed.
She knows her father loves her deeply but sometimes, his rules sickens her out. Her father just wants his daughter to be safe and not have the same fate as his wife.
"Coming father!" She called back. Her voice carrying softness and delicateness. She had to keep this character cause, after all, she was the princess.
Princess of Karabia.
And of course, her father was the King.
Xena, it was a name for a warrior that she was not. Her hair fiery red but she was anything but hotheaded. Her eyes steely grey but she was anything but stone cold.
Reluctantly, she got up, slowly patting her royal night suit made of satin and walk inside the doors that were connected with the balcony and her room.
Before she actually exited the room, she gave herself one last look in the mirror, making sure that she looked modest for people in the castle.
Her white nightgown was slightly see-through but not too much. Her ginger hair came down in soft curls till her hips. Her silver eyes were glossy and her porcelain skin just showcased her features even more.
"Hopefully, father doesn't have a new reason to make my already limited lifestyle more limited." Xena mutter to her right-hand woman - who was supposed to take care of her needs - and then exhale.
Xena was a name for a strong warrior but what she didn't understand was why she was given the name.
She was anything but a warrior. She was kept as a wounded animal or a fragile object.
"I wish you well Princess." Her lady says in a clear voice while looking straight.
"At ease sister. I am not my father." Xena said to her lady for the umpteenth time in the week as she starts to exit her lavish room.
Her father was a harsh man. Only to the other people of course. To Xena, he was like a candy with a lot of sweetness in it.
But his sweetness had a lot of drawbacks.
She walked down the large staircase barefoot - which her father was going to scold her again for - just to reach its end and see her father.
He was talking to one of the guards.
"You called me father?" Xena says in a low voice once she reaches down the staircase. One of the other rules her father made.
A lady should never speak or raise her volume with the people who are on higher levels than her.
"Oh yes, my dear. I see you are ready for bed." Her father immediately dismisses the guard who walks away with his chest puffed out.
"Oh yes, father," Xena said softly and her father softly kissed the top of her daughter's forehead.
"My dear, I just want to say . . . I got a really good proposal for you - from the neighboring kingdom. I recieved the letter just now. The guests will be here tomorrow night." He says while Xena stood shell shocked.
No way her father could do this to her own daughter! An arrange marriage? But . . .
"Father. I don't want to get married."
"Xena, it will be a benefit to us and you will go into a great household. Like a queen!" Her father said with a smile on his face. Hoping his daughter would also see the good in this arrangement.
"I am sorry. I can't." She mutters and runs away. Barefoot. Out of the castle with tears brimming down her face.
She was not even in her twenties yet and her father expects her to marry the neighboring kingdom?! Not going to happen.
She was not the one to normally defy her father's orders but this time, the limits were crossed.
She ran towards an unknown direction that she knew very well.
But she did not care. She wanted her freedom. She wanted her choices to be prioritized.
She didn't want to be a pawn in the kingdom's benefit. She was a human for god's sake.
By the time, her father had sent a few guards behind his daughter. Her father was heartbroken. He failed to see what her daughter really wanted.
He thought that maybe she would listen to him but he definitely did not expect her daughter to run away from him.
Did she not like this idea that much?
He decided that he would not force her daughter anymore. But right now, his main job was to get his daughter back.
But at the same time, the Adonis was waiting for his feast.
