I cursed under my breathe and walked to Oliver pushing him back my hands on his chest. He was making a scene and I really couldn't afford for a scene to break out right now. Not with everything going on, "Oliver chill," Lily took my spot putting her hands on his chest holding him back for me.

"What's going on?" Vanessa walked over everyone had noticed the commotion by now.

"He's just hot headed," Lily spoke with her teeth gritted from constraining Oliver.

"Workouts over everyones free to go!" The beta released everyone, "I'm sorry for the disrespect. I'm sure he didn't mean to hit her," the beta tried to compensate for Zach's punching me in the face. In all honesty he looked scared.

"What who hit who?" My sister looked around at everyone confused. I shook my head.

"I need to shift," I spoke walking in the opposite direction of the commotion.

"The Forest is quite big and there's a mountain on the west side of the pack! It has a nice stream!" The beta yelled after me. I didn't bother responding back but began to walk faster.

Stop walking away from your problems. Nina came into my thoughts.

Leave me alone.

You can't only think about yourself, Zaria. I shook my head. Hearing footsteps behind me I quicken my pace.

"Zaria wait!" My sister grabbed my wrist. I yanked away from her and continue walking, "what's going on?! Tell me the truth! What the fuck is going on?!"

I shake my head.

"What's going on? What's going on?! I'll tell you what's going on, the fact that you are always in the way! I can't be with my mate, because you; your right there! I can't be happy because I want you to be happy," I shake my head and my eyes fill with tears as I turn to look at her.

"Zaria what are you talking about?" She walked closer to me.

"I'm talking about," I paused and tangled my fingers through my hair, "Oliver."

"What about Oliver?"

I shook my head and tears streamed down my eyes, "Oliver is my mate."

Her mouth fell open and she took a few steps back, "He's- He's your mate?" I nodded my head and wiped my face with the inside of my shirt, "um well congratulations," she didn't say anything else. Just turned and started to walk away.

"Vanessa," she stopped, "I'm sorry. I didn't want it to turn out like this. I just can't anymore." Tears threaten to fall.

"Zaria," she looked back over shoulder, "it was always destined to be like this. We were screwed from the very beginning," she shifted and ran in the opposite direction.

I shook my head and began to sob. This can't be happening not now not here. Why does the Moongodess have it out for me? What have I done to her to make her this angery at me?

She's not mad at you Zaria, she's just trying to bless you with a gift.

I shook my head and fell back  a few steps, unable to see with my blurred vision, unable to see through the tears, I slid down a tree and brought my knees to my chest. Bless me with a Gift? I said back to Nina what gift? The gift of being an orphan? The gift of having my sister hate me for taking her love interest? I couldn't help but snap back.

Just know some people don't have half the things you do. With that she cut me off, making it clear she didn't want to speak to me.

I banged my head against the tree. What did I do to make my life so fucked up?

Zaria where are you, Oliver mind linked me. I didn't reply back. Being the stubborn person I am I ignored him.

Don't ignore him, Nina unblocked me. I shook my head, somethings not right. I can feel it.

What is it? I lifted my head. Nina's senses were always spot on. I couldn't recall a time she was wrong about something.

That smell do you smell it? I raised my head and sniffed the air. Rotten eggs. I stood quickly.

Zaria where are you?! Oliver fought through my block.

I'm in the woods. I linked back.

There's something here. Zaria run! Nina advises me. I do as said and take off in the opposite direction of the foul smell.

As I ran I must've triggered a trap set, because my leg got caught in a bear trap. I screamed as the trap clawed my leg. The teeth of the metal bear trap tore the flesh around my ankle. I looked down at my leg and couldn't stop shaking.

Zaria? Zaria! Are you ok what happened?! My mind was being over flowed with mind links from Oliver and Nina. I couldn't keep them all in order. They were trying to help, but in reality were just making it worse. I shook my head that started to pound.

"Over here," I heard hushed voices and the rustling of leaves come from a few feet away. Everything in me told me to get up and run. However I couldn't. I looked all around in a panic. The rotting smell got stronger and stronger, "there," then the voices were right in front of me.

I looked up to see a guy half clothed. He wore pants but no shirt or shoes. Across his chest were slashes like he just got out of a fight, and his eyes are beating yellow. I tried to scoot back, away from the rogue afraid for my life.

"Stop, stop. Don't move," I listened to him out of fright, and my eyes flashed to the guy behind him. He's even scarier. Big built, dark skin, shaved head, and beating red eyes. The first guy came towards me and my eyes widened in fear, "don't be frightened. I'm Jake, I'm not going to hurt you. Quite the opposite actually," I didn't trust a word he spoke.

Jake advanced on me and I tried to scoot back even more, but cringed from pain. I couldn't move anymore it hurt to much. He stood in front of my looking down at my leg, "it got you good didn't it?" I cautiously nodded my head.

He looked up at me, "it's pure silver. That might be why it hurts as bad as it does and is not healing as it should," I nod my head. I got that much, "this might hurt a bit," without another word he grabbed the trap and pulled it apart. I screamed from relief as the trap let go of my leg.

"Damn that hurt like a bitch," Jake waved his hands around. The silver burned a layer of flesh on his palms and fingers.

"Hurry up you fool. Before we get caught again. I'm already going to get an ear full from your dad. Letting you get hurt and all."

Jake nodded his head at his friend.

"Vincent my friend, my choices are mine not yours," Jake looked back down at me, "can you walk?" I shook my head. He nodded his then bent down and in one swift motion picked me up bridal style.

"Jake you fool! We can't take her with us!"

"I can't leave her here. They'll think she's one of us, our scent is all over her, and she saw our faces. Father would be especially mad if word got out that his son is doing his dirty business for him."

Vincent sighed.

I processed what they were speaking about. They're taking me with them?! They think I'm one of them? A rouge.

"Let's go hurry up. I can already hear the search dogs, we need to get into no mans land," do I go along with it? What will they do to me if they find out that I'm not one of them?

Go along with it, Nina spoke her voice was shaky.

Nina are you ok? No reply. I kept silent as Jake carried me across the pack boundaries.
