Elizabeth pov
I was scrubbing out finally after a very long surgery when my triplet brother stuck his head in.
"You coming? Mer's first day."
"I'll be right there. And I thought you went home."
"Oh. Yeah I kind of had to come back." I raised a eyebrow which John noticed immediately.
"Mer was with a guy."
"Oh. Awkward."
"Yeah. At least Will wasn't there." I nodded and got my lab coat on.

"So I heard that some certain nephew of mine got into it." I sighed and spoke.
"Chris thought it would be a good idea to accidentally make an explosion in the science lab."
"Please tell me he at least told you why." John said wincing. I chuckled and spoke.
"He said that the science camp was too boring and he already knew everything."
"Of course."

We stopped at the nurses station and John turned to me.
"Have you told Preston yet?" Before I could respond two arms wrapped around my waist.
"Told me what?" I smiled and turned around to see my husband there.
"Chris decided to get into trouble." Preston groaned and dropped his head into my neck. Just then I saw Mer come up. I smiled and spoke.
"Hey Mer." My sister smiled and hugged me.
"Hey Beth." Preston smiled and spoke.
"Well looks like we have another Grey here."
"Hi Dr. Burke." Mer said. I chuckled and Preston smiled.
"Hello Meredith. And you know you can call me Preston." Mer nodded and spoke.
"I will. Just not right now while I'm working." Just then I saw three interns coming up to Bailey.
"Mer. You might want to get back." She looked and nodded, going over to her group.

Later I had changed and was working when Bailey came up to me.
"You have to talk to your husband."
"Hello dr. Bailey. Now what is it?"
"He has chosen O'Malley as his guy." I sighed and shook my head.
"You know how he is."
"Yes but O'Malley barely got in. He's not a good candidate." I smiled and spoke.
"Bailey, Preston is rarely wrong on his choice. But I'll talk to him."
"Thank you." I sighed and looked at a chart. Derek came up and spoke.
"So something happened."
"What?" I asked still looking over the chart and writing some things.
"Kate is avoiding me." I sighed and looked up at my brother in law.
"I'm not a marriage counselor Derek."
"Just talk to her please." He gave me a look and I glared at him. "I'm not asking for much just find out why she's avoiding me." I rolled my eyes and spoke.
"Derek grow up and talk to my sister. What makes you think she would tell me anyway?"
"You're her sister. She tells you everything and don't tell me she doesn't." I sighed and stopped working.
"You'll owe me." Derek smiled and shrugged.
"Like that's anything new and thank you." I nodded my head then noticed Mer.
"I think someone wants you." Derek looked then nodded and went over.

I went to a patient room and talked to her and her husband while I waited for Will to come in. Will came in and spoke.
"So how are we feeling today?" Allison smiled and spoke.
"I'm fine dr. Adamson. Just nervous." My best friend smiled and spoke.

Pretend the scrubs are dark blue.

"You're in the best possible place and have the best doctors. Trust me I'm good and Eliza is pretty remarkable herself." I rolled my eyes and spoke.
"And he's modest as you can tell." Allison laughed and spoke.
"You two have been such a help. Thank you."
"Of course Allison."

I went to the attendees lounge and saw Preston there. I went over and put my arms around his neck.
"So I was asked to talk to you." Preston spoke.
"Oh really? Let me guess. Dr. Bailey still isn't sure." I kissed his cheek and spoke.
"Apparently not. And Derek asked me to talk to Kate."
"So you're a mediator? And here I thought you were a surgeon." I playfully glared at my husband and hit his arm.
"Shut up." Preston smirked and spoke.
"You know you love me."
"You are such a pain." He smiled and kissed my palm.
"I love you."
"Mhmm." I sat down and put my feet on Preston. He smiled and rubbed my legs.
"You know I have some time before my next surgery."
"Preston. No." He sighed and spoke.
"How long are you going to do this?"
"Till you learn mister. Besides I want to go check on Mer and everything."
"Mmmm. Well then I suppose I'll just have to wait." I smiled and sat up. I put a hand on Preston and kissed him deeply.
"Tonight. I promise."
"I'll hold you to that."

I was looking for Meredith when I found her.
"Mer." She looked up and smiled.
"Hey Liza." I smiled and spoke.
"How are you?"
"I'm good. Tired but good." I chuckled and spoke.
"Get used to that feeling little sister. Intern years are the best and worst."
"So I've heard." I chuckled then Kate came up.
"Good. I've been looking for you."
"About?"
"Derek stopped me. He wanted to know why you're avoiding him." My sister huffed and spoke.
"He knows why."
"Kate."
"Fine. He invited Max out here to stay without asking me."
"Okay. Yeah. Stay mad at him." She smiled and spoke.
"Yeah." Mer spoke up.
"What's going on?" I sighed and Kate explained everything.
"Wow. Just wow." I finished the chart then turned to my little sister.
"How's your day been?" She shrugged.
"Okay. I just really want today to be over." I smiled and spoke.
"It gets easier." Just then John came up.
"I hate my life." I smirked and Kate smiled.
"Shut up!" We laughed and Mer grinned. John groaned and put his head down.
"You three suck." I closed the chart and handed it to the nurse.
"That's what happens when you have three sisters John." He rolled his eyes and gently shoved me. I smiled and shoved him back playfully.

That night I was sitting the tub relaxing. Preston came in and smiled when he saw me
"You look amazing." I chuckled and spoke.
"Do I?" He came over and kissed me softly.
"You do." I smiled and put my hand on the back of his neck.
"Then get in here and show me." He smirked and backed up, getting undressed. Preston got in and pulled me to him. We kissed deeply then Preston threaded his fingers in my hair and tugged a little. I moaned and spoke.
"Preston."
"We only have a little bit before the kids come back. I just want to have fun for a little bit." I laughed and shook my head and Preston kissed me softly.
