The Real Climax
The title has nothing to do with the story and everything to do with the note on the previous chapter

I knew if I left the house they would come for me. I had prepared for them to come for me but I didn't expect them to come so soon. It was just my luck that Jamari would be the one to pick me up.
"Haven't you learned anything from all the times that I have picked you up? They might as well call that jail cell your home," he said glaring down at me.
"Come on Jamari, you know you enjoy the exciting visits."
"Daliah I've told you time and time again it Recruit Jamari, you will respect my title."
I rolled my eyes at him. All the Recruiters in my town are huge on respect. That isn't even our town faction but they are very strict about it. Each town has its own special action, which is a law that each person must live by. You do nit get to pick your faction unless of course you want to move but most people stay unless they want a new lifestyle.
Our faction is loyalty and somehow if you're not loyal to the ways of your town it is high treason. My parents were from Heartworth, faction of bravery, and taught me their ways before my own. I don't believe that woman and men should be forced to do and act totally different ways.
I like french braids and shorts, the government likes wavy long hair and dresses. I like going all natural, they like lots and lots of makeup. They wanted girls to mothers, cook clean, and take care of everything else by the time they are out of high school, I'd rather wait until the moment comes.
Jamari placed my ID card into his arrest scanner and scowled at the screen, "Well it seems they are done with your games, let's go."
I follow him to the car wondering what he means. They have never taken me anywhere other than the boot camp or the jail. I've never heard of any other place that they take "criminals".
We drove for three hours, but I had no idea where we were due to the tinted window. When the car finally stopped Jamari pulled me from the back rougher than usual and led me to a large building. I barely noticed the building because it was covered in trees. Inside it was completely white and more sterile than a hospital.
"Is this the subject?" a man in a black coat said.
Jamari nods and hands me over to him.
"Who the hell are you?" I asked pulling my arm away from him but it was no use.
He dragged me into a room full of people that showed the same signs of defiance as me. Some had shaven their heads completely bald, it was against the rules to alter yourself outside of additions. Others had tattoos and piercings. There were others that looked completely normal so I guess they were just common criminals.
There was one girl with purple hair and purple eyes that were giving me an intense stare. As soon as they closed the door behind me the room erupted with chatter and singing and the girl came up to me.
"You must be Daliah." she said with a thick northern accent, which means she was probably from Heartworth.
"That depends on why you're asking."
"Your parents knew you would end up here one day and so did I. There are some people from f=Heartworth who would be very happy to see you alive and kicking."
"I must be kicking pretty damn hard to end up in this place. What is this place by the way?"
"It's where they put the people they can't deal with. We have been bundled up but every time they get someone they take them out within the hour to 'evaluate'" she says and I can tell she is hiding her emotions. "Get some rest before they come you'll need it."
"Why would I..."
"Sleep!"
I saw some small cuts towards the corner of the room and went over to lay on them. This is the first time I have ever meet anyone who knew my parents and somehow knew about me too. What was even scarier was the fact that she knew what was going to become of me even before it happens.
Somehow I was able to drift asleep but was soon awoken by a rough shake. A large man in the black coat grabbed me by the arm and dragged me down a long pristine hallway.
"Where are you taking me? Who are you?"
He completely ignored me and continues to take me down the hall till we reach a door with brail on it instead of words. He opened the door and threw me in without any words.
Unlike the rest of the building this room was covered in dirt and caked up blood all along the walls, there was a small table with different contraptions that I had no idea what were used for.
"Daliah Castel you are being tried for treason and disobedience do you accept the charges?" a mechanical voice says through speakers I cannot see.
"You know I don't consider my sense of style and the way I like to live my live "treason and disobedience"."
Another voice speaks up, "We do not tolerate this kind of behavior in here. There are certain consequences for acting out as such. If you cooperate will we not have use that system of force."
"How many of you are there?" I say looking toward the roof of the room.
The only answer I receive is a needle being plunged into my neck and me blacking out.
When I wake up am back in one of those pristine white rooms but I am bound to a hard table. I look around the room but all I see is the blinding white surrounding me.
"Welcome to my lab. I have been given permission to have as much fun with you asI like but I am also supposed to be interviewing you for your sentencing. My rules are simple, answer my question and you will be fine, don't answer my question....."
I began to struggle and feel the bands of a straight jacket pull but they stand strong. E$ven though on the inside, I am scared to death I know that I can't let them know that, "I didn't know we were having a test, I never got the chance to study."
"What is your full name?"
"Daliah Ali Castel."
"What were your parent's names?"
"Kambria Castel and Jhalil Castel."
"How old are you?"
"How old are you?"
"I asked you a question I would like the answer, Ms. Castel."
"I asked you a question too. By the way, why are you asking such stupid question? I mean I'm guessing you're the government, you should know these things."
As soon as the words leave my mouth the white walls more into my childhood home. Images of me and my parents running through the open fields are shown before me.
I remember the day perfectly, it's the first time my dad had ever taken me hunting. We set up camp deep in the woods and he taught me how to wait and listen for animals lurking around me. There was a small rabbit he heard running through the bushes and he helped me ready my knife.
"Daddy what do I need a knife for?" the younger version of me asked with wide eyes.
"Without the knife, we can't make the bunny into food. Aren't you hungry?"
"I am but shouldn't we ask the rabbit if he wants to become food first? It's not right to just take him."
"You're right baby girl. No one should ever make decisions about how you should live your life except you, always remember that, but sometimes it's better to make a difficult choice than to leave the rabbit to get hurt worse by others. DO you understand sweetie?"
I nodded my head even though at the time aII had no idea what he was talking about. He ended up making me kill the rabbit and taught me how to skin it and cook it properly. that night I sat in my bed crying and praying for the rabbit to go to a happy place.
The walls shifted back to white and I heard the man's laughing in the background. " That's so innocent! if she had the right upbringing she would've become a beautiful young lady instead of you."
"I thought I was doing a pretty good job."
"What is the last thing you were convicted of?"
"I was caught walking out of my house. You guys really need to work on your legal system."
"What specifically were you caught for?"
"I was dressed and ready to go?"
I could hear the anger in his voice from the b=vagueness in my answers. "What specifically were you going to go do?"
"I was hunting." This reply came out a lot more stressed because I knew he couldn't find out whAT I WAS HUNTing for. There was a group of people who are going against this way of government and I wanted to find them. I didn't mind having to kill a rabbit on the way to get there either.
For some reason, I continued to answer his questions this way and nothing bad happened to me. I was expecting to feel some type of excruciating pain or a bad memory but absolutely nothing happened. After I assumed he was done he just sat there chuckling.
Another one of the man's in the black coats came into the room and plunged a syringe into my neck.
"Enjoy your ride, Ms. Castel," the doctor said as his voice faded away.
I was placed back into a time in my childhood that I would wish to forget.
"Daliah," my father says as he grips onto me and my mother cries in the background. "Remember everything we taught you baby girl."
"But you're going to teach me more right? There's no reason for me to remember it if you're always going to be here," the younger version of me says.
"No superstar, me and daddy have to go away for a very long time. We are going to need you to be stronger than ever!" my mother says wiping her tears away.
"No mom you aren't......."
The younger version of me was cut off by the sound of the door busting open downstairs. My parents stuffed me into the closet in their room and told me to stay as quiet as possible. Thankfully when I was a child this memory stopped right here but for some reason, it continued.
I got up and walked with my parents down the hall and the stairs to be meet with guards of every faction.
"Castel family you are under arrest for treason and going against government laws. Drop all weapons and get on the ground!"
I hoped and prayed inside of myself that my parents would just do what they were told but I knew deep inside that they wouldn'.
Instead, they grabbed guns from behind their backs and began shooting at the guards that were there and ran in the opposite direction. I knew they weren't going to make it but I hoped and prayed they didn't go out this way.
My dad got shot first. I could hear the scream of the bullet as it soared through the air, and the gush of his skin as it impaled his body. I don't know if it was me or him who screamed but I could feel my throat going raw at the sight of the hole in his leg. I ran to his side and begged and pleaded for him to stop to let go but he didn't hear me.
He continued to run and shoot back until another four bullets impaled his body and this time he was not able to continue. He fell to the ground in slow motion and I ran to his side with tears in my eyes trying to stop the bleeding, "No! Dad, please don't......Please! Dad!"
When I looked up through wet clouded eyes I saw the look of horror on my mom's face as she debated coming back to my father or continuing to run.
Rule number 4: Never hesitate no matter who has fallen beside you.
I screamed a horrid call to the dead and six holes appeared in my mom's abdomen. I ran to hew side and tried to break her fall but she fell right through me and cracked her skull on a table preventing anyway for me to save her.
I cried and cried in agony until I felt the cold metal of a gun being pressed to my temple, "The Castel family is complete."
The gun went off and so did the delusion but I could still feel the metal to my head. When I looked around I was back in the room filled with misfits and they all stared at me with utmost pity in their eyes.
I fell to the ground and clutched my bleeding heart finally knowing how my parents died. I felt warm arms wrap around me from every angle but didn't care who it was. I cried until the tears were all dried up and sobbed until my voice was a whisper and sleep consumed me.
Upon waking I was in a tree with the purple haired girl's arms wrapped around me. I flinched bag from her but she kept her grip tight. "It's ok. It's over. They dumped us in some deserted forest. I have held onto you in this tree ever since."
"Where did everyone else go?" I croaked still not having my voice back.
"Some of them stayed, some of them left. I didn't want you getting mixed up with them while being unconscious. What did they show you in there?"
I told her about the horrible scene of my parent's death and her face went completely stoic. It was quiet for a long moment as we listened to the animals deep in the forest conversate about the day. Finally, she spoke up and what she said changed my whole world.
"Your parents are far from dead."
