Intro: At least, I think that's her last name. Hercule Satan is just a stage name, and his last name is kinda unknown, so... that's what I'm going with. But anyway, behold! Probably the only canon ship from the Dragon Ball franchise that will appear in this book. Again, I feel like I have wronged myself by not bringing this up earlier.

Proof: Gohan is, obviously, the son of the main character, Goku. He is, or perhaps was the strongest in the universe, but due to stupid writing, he was pushed into the sidelines until finally actually getting a real role in the current Universe Survival Arc. But he's still a pretty cool character when he needs to be.

Videl is the daughter of Hercule Satan, the World Martial Arts champion (through mostly illegitimate reasons, but still, he won a tournament fair and square once before the whole Cell stuff went down). She's stubborn, strong, and she had a quick temper when she was younger. Another perfect example of what Saiyan women were like and why Saiyan men were attracted to them.

The two met while Videl was trying to figure out who the Great Saiyaman was, as well as this Golden Warrior that was also hanging around somewhere, both of which were Gohan himself. Especially in one moment that H20FLAME pointed out, saying something along the lines of "even if you haven't seen the abridged series..."

He could of dodged that. We all know very well he could have dodged that.

Otherwise, these two had amazing cute moments that I did not expect from this anime. It had actual, realistic buildup! Well, as realistic as you can get with a universe like this. Which is what differs itself from the other two main canon ships on this show, aka Goku x Chi Chi, and Vegeta x Bulma. There was literally no buildup for the former, and, while there was some for the latter, it was formed while Vegeta was still working on getting out of his... villainous stage. At least he gets better, which I cannot say the same for either Goku or Chi Chi.

Moments between these two are so precious. Examples including Gohan teaching Videl how to fly, Videl inviting Gohan to the tournament, the aftermath of Videl vs. Spopovich (as well as a few moments during it), Gohan's presumed death, etc. They're all great!

Unfortunately though, Videl fell into the trap that pretty much all the girls in this show fall into: becoming essentially useless after marrying, and I feel as though Videl and Chi Chi have gotten the worst hit. At least Bulma is a scientist and has actually helped out on occasion in Super, as well as Android 18 being part of the roster for the Universe 7 Team. But Videl and Chi Chi got the short end of the stick, with Chi Chi being pretty much the whole reason why Gohan got as weak as he did, and Videl just... kind of being there, if that makes sense.

At least I can appreciate what she once was.

What I think: This is the only Dragon Ball ship that I shipped that was made canon, even though I had no idea that it would become canon when I first watched the series. And boy, was I happy! There's little else I can say here that hasn't already been said. These two are great.
