Intro: You know I'm trash when a ship like this is in here. Camp Camp is a misleading show. The overall animation design of it disguises it as a kid-friendly cartoon. But then you look at who created it: RoosterTeeth. The same guys who made the likes of RWBY and Red vs. Blue, more emphasis on the latter than the former. There's enough cursing to make Deadpool jealous.

And when your scouring ships in this show, you're either gonna find fluff, or you're gonna find sin. There is no in between. The fan base is super weird. Considering most of the cast is made up of children... well, you get the point. Then you have these two. Now, I'm only seven episodes into Season 1, so my knowledge is kinda limited, so I'll describe it as best I can.

Proof: David is the overenthusiastic camp counselor who believes everyone loves the camp, despite otherwise. Gwen is the opposite, being under-enthusiastic who believes the kids are somewhat right in wanting to leave. David never swears while Gwen is your typical RoosterTeeth character in terms of language. Gwen is one of the characters in the show who isn't... well, idiotic. She's a bit self-aware, though she has her own unique tastes, like trash TV, but she's one of the most entertaining characters in the show, probably being my favorite.

There hasn't any romantic buildup so far, but that's understandable. This show isn't about romance (it's about regular and uncomfortable humor), so it doesn't bother me too much. Pretty much every ship in this show is a crack-ship so far.

What I think: I think it's just the dynamic that I love about these two. To me, they're the parents to all of these kids. Heck, "Dadvid" is a thing, and I've often seen "Mom!Gwen" paired up with it. So I ship it on concept alone. There is ONE ship on this show for the kids, Makki, but considering they're... well, kids, I'm hesitant on discussing it. Ships that are that young aren't usually my cup of tea. So I'll just say it in passing for now.

But wHY ON EARTH DO PEOPLE SHIP DAVID AND MAX?! DAVID IS AN ADULT, AND MAX IS TEN YEARS OLD. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?!?!
