Intro: I wonder how many people lost interest the moment they saw the words "Black Clover"... when they really shouldn't have. Yeah, the beginning of the show was memed to near death, but trust me when I say this: this show is worth the watch if you love Shonen anime. It has all the tropes and cliches of one, yes, but it's pretty self-aware of that fact (heck, Captain Yami is living proof of that). And this ship... while probably not breaking any top tens for me, is still adorable enough for me to put it in this book.

Proof: Well, to start off, Noelle has made it abundantly clear that she's romantically interested in Asta (even if she is a massive tsundere about it), while Asta... well, is just hopelessly oblivious to it, as with most things. He is his own worst enemy. He does like her, though it's unclear whether it's truly romantic or not. Noelle tries to deny it to herself all she wants, but those constant blushes and continuous denials speak volumes. Asta's not afraid to step up and defend his friend, and really anyone attacking her in any way has to watch it for him.

The biggest obstacle in the way of this ship is most likely Asta's unending infatuation for Sister Lily, but I don't think anything will come from it. Lily's not only much older than him, she's also a nun, and thus cannot marry. His infatuation for her is played off as a joke more than anything else. Other than that, maybe Noelle's cousin Mimosa might stand in the way, but she seems to be too much of a sweetheart to get in between these two if given the chance. There's also Rebecca, but she also thinks that she doesn't have a chance with Asta with Noelle around...

Man, Asta's racking up an unintentional harem, isn't he?

What I think: Like I said, while this ship probably won't make it into my favorites list, it's still pretty gosh darn adorable. Plus, it gave me the chance to actually defend Black Clover properly. The show is not bad, guys! There's also one more ship from Black Clover that I really like, but I haven't seen enough interactions between the two yet. Don't worry, Yami x Charlotte, I'll get to you later.
