Lillie's POV

Next to me, my mother, Lusamine, is staring at me:
"You are thinking of that boy, aren't you?" She asks.
I look at her and give her an evasive answer:
"You mean Hau?"
Lusamine laughs:
"You know I don't mean Hau, I mean that one boy, the champion, Y/n!"
I blush, my mother knows me too well:
"I wasn't thinking of Y/n..."
"Of course you were, Lillie, I can read your face, I'm your mother after all!" She says smiling.
"You're right... I was indeed thinking of Y/n... I'm so excited to see him again, but I'm also a bit nervous..." I whisper quietly. A few seconds later, I ask her a new question:
"Mom...?"
"Yes, sweetie?"
"Won't he be angry? That I left him there while I left to a new region?"
Lusamine shook her head:
"No, Lillie, I don't think so. Y/n knows that you had to. He will like to see you again after those long 6 months."
Long months it were indeed:
When we arrived in Kanto, I was full of excitement, Kanto was such a beautiful region, and there were some rare Pokémon to catch: The Kantonian versions of some Alolan Pokémon. I caught a Sandshrew, a Rattata, and a Meowth like Y/n has. I received a Pokémon from Kanto's professor, Samuel Oak, Samson Oak's brother. He was very kind to me and allowed me to have his Squirtle. I have begun to like catching Pokémon, but I still don't like battling with them... I hope Y/n can teach me something about battling, so that I can challenge the Kanto gym leaders. I felt like I had to go to Alola, to see my friends and to get some advice perhaps...
"How long still to Alola ?"
"We have only been sailing for like half an hour or so, Alola is far away from Kanto, I think 2 and a half hours still to Alola."
"Pffff" I sigh... A few minutes later, I fall asleep on my mother's shoulder.

Reader's POV

You feel more and more nerves as you see the boat coming closer and closer. Goosebumps are everywhere on your arms and legs. You hear Gladion approaching you:
"Y/n, I've gathered the people of Iki town and told our friends that Lillie's going to come. They are preparing a feast in Iki town."
"Good."
"Hau is preparing himself and will come here too."
You feel a bit of... jealousy?
"Great news."
"It is... I'm excited to see my sister, and my mother too!"
You grin:
"I'm excited to see your sister as well, and your mother too!"
He laughs:
"Haha, surely you are! Now let's wait for them!"

*Timeskip*

The ship has nearly arrived, and even Gladion is becoming nervous, but likes a challenge:
"I'm going to another spot, the first to see Lillie and mother wins!"
"I'm down to clown, man. I bet I'll win!"
After a quarter of an hour, the ship arrived, and you mounted Nebby again.
After another quarter, you still didn't see Lillie nor Lusamine.
What if she isn't on this boat?
Instead of her and her mother, 2 other persons came to you. 2 boys, one was ginger-haired with a black polo shirt, the other one had brown hair, a red cap and a red shirt. It was the first one that began to speak:
"Hey, Red, look there! Is that a legendary?"
The other one, apparently his name was Red, didn't react, so you did:
"It is! It's name is Solgaleo, or Nebby as I call him. My name is Y/n, what's yours?"
He smiled in excitement:
"Mine is Blue, nice to meet you! What do you say, Y/n, would you like to battle? My friend Red here and I are both great battlers, how about you?"
You shrugged, and kept your title a secret:
"I think I'm pretty good as well, but I don't have time right now, I'm waiting for a friend of mine... She and her mother could be on that ship of yours... A young, blonde girl?"
"Let's battle another time then! And... euhm, I don't think I've seen a blonde girl and her mother... Red, have you seen someone like that?"
Red just shrugged...
Strange.
You ask about it:
"Why doesn't your friend say anything?"
"He doesn't talk much, he has trained on Mt. Silver for too long... he barely talks, I've got used to it. You will get used to it too."
You didn't pay attention anymore, because you saw the person you've been wainting for for so long. But it was not in the circumstances you wanted it to be...

Lillie's POV

Finally, Alola!!!
The fresh breeze blew in my face, and I've almost never been so happy in my life. I searched for Y/n, Hau or Gladion, but I didn't see anyone I knew. A little disappointed, I kept on searching. Suddenly I feel a hand on my shoulder, and I say: "Y/n ?" as I turn around. But instead of Y/n, it were 2 Team Skull members. They begun their rap:
Grunt A:
"Yo yo, you're alone girl? How about we take your pokémon, and perhaps a pearl?"
Grunt B, clearly the bad pun- maker:
"You're absol-utely right, A! She reli-canth escape us, she is alone!"
I got scared, as I don't have strong enough Pokémon to battle them, and my mom doesn't have her Pokémon with her...
I whisper:
"Never, go away, grunts!" As I grab Squirtle's Pokéball. As I were about to throw it, I hear a roar, filling the whole Marina.
Is that Nebby?
And I hear a man shouting:
"Do as the lady says, Team Skull! Or I'll crush you and your teams, and it will hurt, I promise."
Suddenly I see Y/n coming at us with Nebby, and he roars again.
I wanted to jump at him, but waited 'till Team Skull went away.
"We'll do as you want, sir... we didn't want to scare the lady..." Grunt A said.
"Spare me your flattery, thief. Now go away."
They fled as fast as they could. Now was the moment for relief: I jumped in his arms:
"Oh Y/n, you do always show up when you have to! I've missed you so much!"
"I missed you too" He said in tears.
As I hugged him, I saw Lusamine smiling. I blushed and giggled. When we were finished hugging, I saw Gladion and screamed:
"Gladion! There you are!" And hugged him too.
He whispers in my ear:
"Happy you're here, sis. I've missed you."
From far away, you hear a voice, sounding like Hau's, shouting:
"Lillie!!! You're here! Have you read my letter?"
Y/n's face endarkens...

I did receive a letter from Hau back in Kanto, and I don't know why, but I didn't read it, I probably forgot about it... or didn't I? Perhaps I thought that Y/n would be jealous... I don't remember anymore.
So I lied to Hau:
"Letter? Did you send one? I don't think it arrived."
I think that Y/n's face enlightens a bit. However, Hau is sad:
"But it was such a long one..."
Y/n interrupts:
"But what's the matter? Lillie's here now! Time to celebrate, I'd say! Let's get to Iki town, where we got our first Pokémon!"

Reader's POV

You walk next to Gladion, who has really grown to you, from an enemy once to a great friend now. Hau and Lillie are walking before you, and now you do really feel jealousy, like a 100 bulls running through your bones. Gladion apparently notices and whispers:
"I'll do this because you deserve it."
You don't understand:
"Gladion, what are you talking about?"
"About this" He whispers, and he calls Hau:
"Hey Hau, can we have a moment, just us?"
Hau nods:
"Yeah, sure, what's up?"
"Y/n and Lillie, you can already go to the town, we'll catch you up in a bit!"
Gladion winks at you and goes a different way, together with Hau.
You see Lillie smile and saying:
"Ok, come on Y/n, let's go to Iki town!"
Walking next to Lillie, as if it were a dream, you say:
"I'm so glad you're back here, Alola felt so empty without you, without the adventures... but that doesn't matter anymore, you're here now, how was Kanto?"
She blushed and answers:
"That's kind of you to say, Y/n, and to be honest, Kanto felt the same without you and the others... I've caught some Pokémon, but they are not strong yet and I don't really like battling yet... I just wanted to be here with you, Gladion and Hau."

You nodded:
"I want to see your Pokémon, perhaps at the feast. And perhaps I can teach you some stuff about Pokémon and battling, would you like that?"
"Yeah! That's what I was about to ask you!" She laughed.
Such a cute laugh...
You have never been so glad to see someone again in your entire life. You were even a bit disappointed when Iki town appeared in sight, but that feeling went away soon as you saw all your friends gathered once again:
The Captains, the Kahuna's, Kukui and his wife, even Samson Oak and your mother (and Meowth, of course). After some time, you saw Hau and Gladion arriving, and Gladion winked again and now you winked back. After everyone shared their happiness with Lillie, because everyone was glad she was back, you asked her:
"Lillie, in fact, how's your mother doing?"
You hear another feminin voice: "She's doing as great as ever! Nice of you to ask."
You turned around and saw Lillie's mom, Lusamine. You also hugged her, by her surprise. You were just glad to see her again. She laughed and said:
"I was just about to ask to forgive me for what I've done to you in the past, but it seems there's no need to!"
You laughed as well:
"I don't need to forgive you, Lusamine, because I know it wasn't really you back then, Nihilego possesed you."

*Timeskip*

When the feast finally ended deep in the night, everyone was very tired. Lusamine asked Lillie:
"So, Lillie, are you coming with me to the Aether Foundation?"
Lillie shook her head:
"I want to, mom, but I just can't. I'm still afraid of going there... Can't I sleep in Kukui's loft?"
Kukui approaches Lillie:
"I'm afraid I renovated the building and build a little extra lab-area there..."

You seize your chance:
"Well, to be honest, me and my mom did also renovate our house, and we built a new chamber next to my room, for possible lodges. So if you'd like to, you can stay with us!"
Lillie smiles and laughs:
"You are always on top of everything, Y/n! Of course I'd like to, if I'm allowed to...?" She says, looking at Lusamine. She laughs too and answers:
"Of course you're allowed to, Lillie, you're 17, you can make decisions yourself now!"
You see Hau looking sad and you hear him saying to his grandfather:
"Tutu, why didn't we build an extra room...?"
You laughed heartily and said to the girl you've been waiting for for so long:
"Well, what are we waiting for then? We'll all go home. See you guys soon!"
And with those words Lillie, your mother, Meowth and you left the feast and went to your own house at the Hau'oli outskirts. Lillie steps inside and sighs:
"It's been too long since I've been here... I'm so glad I made the decision to come back!"
You smiled and guided Lillie to her room, next to yours:
"This is your room from now on, you can stay here as long as you like."
As long as possible, you thought. You felt a bit sad as you put the blanket over her:
"Goodnight, Lillie."
She blushed, although you couldn't see it in the dark, and said:
"Night night, Y/n!"
As you left Lillie's room, you saw your mother smirking at you. You smiled back and blushed a bit, then walked over to your room and fell asleep.
All days should be like this one...
And you realised how much you've missed her... You'll never let her out of your life again.
