You wake up, your head lying on the hard tent: the pillow is gone! You look around but see nothing. You get up and try to feel something with aura. You don't feel anything, but that doesn't mean there is nothing. You take a fresh breath outside:
"Good morning, world..." You say, as Lillie comes out of the tent, moaning. You immediately apologise:
"Bonjour, princess. Did I awake you?"
She shrugs:
"I don't think so, I just... awoke. A good morning to you too, Y/n!" She says, getting pumped:
"Ready for our last Gym battle?"
You nod, smiling:
"Of course I am, it's going to be a hard one!"
"Who is the Gym Leader?"
You think, but you can't remember:
"I don't know, actually..."
Lillie shrugs:
"I've also never read something about the eighth Gym."
You keep thinking about a name of the Gym Leader, but you really don't have a single clue.
You turn around, looking at the environment:
"My pillow was gone..."
Lillie bursts into laughter:
"I'm sorry... your pillow." She whispers, chuckling. You laugh too and shrug:
"It doesn't matter, let's go to Veridian City." You say, quickly packing up the tent and the rest of your stuff.

But as you are nearly done packing, you get a message from Cynthia:
"Hi, Y/n! I'm messaging you to say I've brought you a new recruit for the Fellowship. You should come over and have a look if he's any good! See you soon!"
You show Lillie the message, and she smiles:
"A new recruit? I wonder who that is!"
You nod:
"Me too! We'll quickly return to Celadon, and then we'll go to the Gym, okay?"
She gives you a kiss:
"Sounds good to me!"
You walk outside, and soon she takes your hand and lets you help her to get on Charizard. You take a deep breath:
"Fly, to Celadon City we go!"

You land your Charizard, to see a poshly dressed man with light blue hair walking towards you and Lillie. He extends his hand:
"You must be Lillie and Y/n! I'm Steven Stone, nice to meet you both!"

You gladly shake his hand, and so does Lillie. You heard the name somewhere:
"So, Mr. Stone, you're here to join us? What are your battling skills like?"
He smiles:
"Say Steven, please. And I think my battling skills are good enough!" He says, giving you a wink. Lillie got the hint and she immediately cheers up:
"I think Steven is actually the Hoenn Champion, Y/n!"
He makes a bow:
"I am, and I have heard a lot of things about you, colleague! When Cynthia asked me to join you, I didn't hesitate for one second!"
You smile heartily now:
"And I gladly accept the help! But now we need to take on the eighth Gym..." You say, about to turn around, but Steven stops you:
"Are you going to leave your colleague, who has travelled a long way to get here, without having a battle?"
You turn around and walk on:
"Sorry, no time."
Steven smiles behind your back:
"How can I know you're a strong leader when you're too afraid to battle me?"
You stop and turn around:
"Fine, you got me, I surrender. A quick one."
Steven grabs a Poké Ball:
"Oh, believe me, it wíll be over quickly!"
You grin:
"I'd like to see you try!"

Lillie's POV

Typically boys, always desiring for a battle, I think to myself, smiling. I guess it is to be expected when your boyfriend is a Champion. I watch the battle closely, to see Y/n's Lucario take out Steven's Metagross. Steven was really strong, and he fought with a strange passion. Suddenly, I feel something soft hitting my head. I look at the ground and see Y/n's pillow. I turn around to see a strange pink creature flying away. Without thinking, I run after it, into the woods.

"Hello?" I shout, searching for the Pokémon, which it probably was, and I keep shouting, until I see a glance of pink. That went on and on, 'till I completely lost the Pokémon. I sigh, cursing inside:
"Arceus, I lost it..."
I take slow steps, back towards the house, attentively looking around me.

Where is the house?
The trees covered any sign of a possible exit, and I feel tears growing in my eyes:
"Oh Arceus, Y/n will be worried sick..."

Suddenly, a pink flash appears in front of me, so I run towards it, and I run, and keep running, 'till I arrive at a clearing. The pink thing was gone, but strangely enough, there was a truck. I smile:
"I see what you did there!" I say, trying to enter the truck, believing it was hiding inside. Whatever I tried, the truck didn't open, so I gave it a kick out of frustration. My foot hurt really badly:
"Aaww, that wasn't a good idea..."
Suddenly, the truck starts to move away, and a super cute, pink Pokémon is looking at me. It probably hid under the truck! It immediately floats up and makes a cute noise, and it kept soaring in front of my face. I smile:
"Aweeee, who are you? You're really cute! Do you want to come with me?"
It makes another cute sound, so I throw a Poké Ball at it. Triple jiggle, and it caught the Pokémon! I immediately send it out, and it makes another sound, a really happy one:
"Meeew!"
Suddenly, I realised which Pokémon I just caught:
"You're a Mew?! I thought you were just a tale!"
Mew looked quite upset when I said that, so I gave it a hug:
"But you're not, and I love you so much!" I say, tearing up.

Mew starts to float around, and I smile, still sobbing a bit out of happiness:
"Do you... know the way to reach the house?"
Mew moves its head up and down, and it starts to fly to the north, and I follow it.

Just before we arrive at the house, I make Mew stop:
"Y/n is never going to believe I caught you, so I want you to stay inside of the Poké Ball 'till the right moment, okay?"
Mew makes a happy sounds and teleports inside of the Poké Ball.
"At least it's more obedient than Nebby!" I whisper to myself, running to the one I love.

Reader's POV

"Nice battle, Steven! You are really, really strong!"
You eventually won, using Golisopod to take down his last Pokémon.
Suddenly, you hear Lillie running up to you, and you accept her hesitant hug:
"Lillie, what's wrong?"
She gives you a kiss, and another one:
"I-I was lost, and, and-"
You place a finger on her lips:
"It's alright, as long as you are okay, it's fine."
She nods, blushing:
"Yes, you're right."
Steven walks up to you:
"I actually brought a gift for you, Y/n. It's my signature gift." He says winking, as he gives you a Lucarionite. You were about to freak out, but you take a deep breath, since you haven't got a Mega ring yet:
"Oh my Arceus, thank you, Steven. I will not forget this, and if you ever need something, you just have to ask."
He smiles:
"It's my pleasure. We will all need you in the future anyway." He says, and with those words, he walks away stylishly.
You touch the Mega Stone:
"Now I just need a ring, that's awesome!"
Lillie nods:
"Even if we don't have Mega evolutions, this eighth Gym will not stand a chance against us!"

The Gym was looking scary and unwelcome. Lillie shivers:
"It looks like it has been abandoned for a long time."
You shake your head:
"That can't be. There hás to be an eighth Gym. I'm going inside."
Lillie gives you a kiss:
"I'll come with you!" She says, grabbing your hand. You nod and go inside.

The Gym was as ugly on the inside as on the outside. No windows, only two doors. You look around:
"Hello?"
Suddenly, you hear the sound of a loud microphone:
"Ciao, my dear guests!"
You recognised the voice from your recent nightmares and from a long time ago:
"Giovanni?!"
A scary laugh echoes through the Gym:
"Y/n, Lillie, it has been a pleasure to see you both! Now, please say your last goodbyes, 'cause this is the last night you're going to see! A long, eternal one!"
The door you used to enter closed itself, and the other door opened, revealing a weird robotic Pokémon:
"Say ciao to Mewtwo, he will be your server for today. The server of death!"
The robotic Mewtwo aims one of its arms at you, but you manage to dodge the Psycho Cut. You quickly send out Metang, since you didn't bring your strong team for a Gym battle:
"Metang, Iron Head!"
Metang hit Mewtwo as if he hit it with a bus, but it didn't even seem to notice it. It still aims at you, but you use your Aura powers to feel the attack coming, and you successfully dodge it again. You shout:
"Metang, keep using Iron Head!"
You jump to the left to dodge another Psycho Cut, and stand behind a pillar. It didn't seem to attack Lillie, who was using Butterfree to keep Mewtwo at a distance with Bug Bite, but the Mewtwo still wasn't badly damaged. Suddenly, your pillar exploded, and you jump away. Mewtwo finally aimed at Lillie, and you used your power from your daily exercices to pull the arm away, forcing it to fire into a wall of the Gym, but it throws you off fast and aims its steely hand at your face. Suddenly, it gets blown back by a purple beam, and before you floated Mew.
I must be dead...
Mew dodged a Psycho Cut, to fire another beam back. Lillie suddenly appeared, and helps you to get up. It was as if you were hit by Astonish:
"What... how?"
She smiles:
"Long story!"
The Mewtwo got up and managed to grab Mew, but it quickly got out of its hold, and Lillie takes a deep breath, to touch her Z-ring:
"Okay..." She whispers, but she recovers herself pretty fast:
"This is what I've been working so hard for! Mew!"
Lillie does her own Z-pose, and it looked more epic than the first time she did it:
"Genesis Supernova!"
Suddenly, everything seemed about to collapse, and Mewtwo got blown through the wall.

A few rocks fall down, and you pull Lillie down and cover her with your body.
Mewtwo made a robotic cry, aimed its hand at the sky and teleported away.

You slowly get up, and suddenly, two Gym badges appear on a pedestal, and they are yours for the taking...

We're nearing chapter 30! So, so sorry for the two weeks wait, I was ill for some time and school gave me a lot of work -_-

I've had a lot of fun writing this chapter, and it's time to go writing on the Ascension chapter again! Also sorry for not uploading a new chapter on that story this week, same reasons.

Question: who's your least favourite Champion? Mine is Diantha. I liked X and Y, but jezus, I didn't even lose a single Pokémon to her, and I 1KO'd her Mega Gardevoir XD I'd love to hear your opinion!
