I try to hide myself behind the girls so Andrew or Ryan don't see me but it's pointless now because we are heading to the bleachers. Crap! I try to suggest we just sit on the grass but Brittany doesn't want ants crawling on her. What a baby.

Thankfully the guys haven't noticed us as we walk up the stairs and sit down a couple rows up. I take a spot next to Sidnee on her left so I'm on the outside, ready to run when I have the chance.

Immediately they start talking about the exchange students and the coming party this weekend, so naturally I lean my elbows on the seats behind me and ignore them and my attention drifts to the guys on the field. That reminds me, I should go for a run when I get home. Track and field tryouts are next week... I spot Andrew running around but not Ryan, I never really noticed how toned Andrew is though. The thin fabric of his shirt outlines his shoulders and back. Sweat glistens on his neck from the hot sun beating down. Well we only became friends about 4 months ago when he started at Dave and Busters but we've known each other since elementary school.

"Do you have a crush on anyone Jen?"

Lee says my name again a little louder this time which makes Andrew stop mid run and I see Ryan now and they turn their heads our way. Heat rushes to my face so I turn away before I make eye contact with either one of them.

Sidnee and the rest of the girls are looking at me expectantly, especially Lee. And I laugh through my nose. She really thinks I'm going to tell her who I have a crush on? I shrug my shoulders and lean forward.

"I don't have a crush on anyone."

They all laugh out loud except for Sidnee who just has a half smile on her face. She knows who I like. Once they are all done laughing Tiff pipes up after flicking her curly red hair back.

"Not even the hotties from South Korea?"

I shake my head in response but Lee's brown eyes still linger on me and she says. "Not even Andrew? You guys seem to have gotten closer now over the summer."

I laugh. "We are coworkers that's it."

Lee doesn't press on and she returns her attention back to the guys on the field before us along with the rest of her group and they continue on talking about guys. Crisis averted. Thank god. Gossip over. At this rate being under the radar will be just a fantasy.

The guys are done practice and wipe themselves off as they huddle into small groups. Some spray water on themselves to cool off. That's my cue, exit stage right! I lean into Sidnee so the others can't hear me and I tell her that I am going to head home.

"No!" She whines with a pout. "You got to stay just for a little longer. Please." Her eyes dart to the fields and I see that some of the guys have taken off their shirts, including Ryan and Andrew. Drool! For a second I forget that I am staring until Ryan looks my way and smirks. He nudges Andrew in the side and he shoots a glance towards us. They both wave at our group and the girls wave back giggling to themselves then the guys start walking towards us. Ugh. I roll my eyes. I definitely need to leave now. As I try to stand Sidnee tugs on my shirt to pull me back down.

"Dude!" I yell slapping at her hand but she doesn't let go. She just grins at me evilly so I sit with my arms crossed.

She raises a suggestive brow to me then turns to her boyfriend walking with the other guys with a large grin. Ah... I see why now. As the shirtless guys come closer it is hard not to stare at their six pack abs and muscular arms, especially Andrew's. How did he get so buff? When did he get so buff? He's always been so scrawny.

Sindee stands to welcome her beau.

"Hey babe." He says with a wide grin and they kiss.

The rest of the guys come to sit around the girls while I stay on the outside, moving an inch closer to the aisle so I can make a break for it but Andrew traps me.

"Well this is an unexpected surprise." He grins wide and leans close. "Did you come voluntarily or held against your will?"

Oh sweet baby Jesus. Mint from the gum he is chewing and a mix of old spice and his sweat invade my nose. Why on earth does that combination smell godly to me right now? B.O. is supposed to be gross.

I snort as nonchalant as I can. "Yeah, I decided to see what all the hype was about. To be honest, I'm not impressed."

He laughs and his knee grazes mine. "Don't lie, I saw you ogling us."

My face heats up immediately. Shit, I hate to admit that I was staring. What's a good, witty remark to that? Playing it off I laugh. "No, I was just wondering where the scrawny kid I grew up with went."

"He's here."

Right...

"Good practice out there guys." Brittany gushes. I squint in her direction. Does she even know anything about football?

"Yeah, you'll definitely keep that win streak going." Lee says smiling at Ryan. He smiles at her and nods as he sits adjacent to her. Even though they are not together anymore she is very possessive of Ryan. She can flirt with other guys but when Ryan tries showing a little attention towards another girl, Lee gets all over him. That's why I could never show interest in him. She would throw a crazy fit if she knew that I liked him. There's too much drama connected to Ryan. Their on again off again relationship is too much like a TV drama.

If I want to go through with my pact I'll have to find someone else. Too bad Nelson is gay, he's cute and we get along great. Kidding. I laugh to myself at that thought then my mind wanders to Andrew. He is nice, cute, popular. Another plus is that he's not attached to any of the barbies. Him and I have known each other for a long time but I don't know if we have a lot in common.

Or I could go in the direction of any of the exchange guys, excluding Jin since Lee is obsessed with him. Jimin is too flirty for my liking. Jungkook is a competitive, smug playboy. Although I feel like there's another side to him, to all of them maybe... They're all undoubtedly cute but I think Namjoon, Tae and Hoseok would be my choices even Yoongi, surprisingly. He's chill and pretty cool, I think it would be fun to date any one of them.

"Have you got the location for where the party is?" One of the guys asks to Lee.

She nods excitedly, holding her phone tightly between her hands. "Yes! It's an awesome spot close to our school actually but a bit of a hike to get there because its hidden."

Whoa. Even my attention is brought back to their conversation. I wonder how this place hasn't been found by anyone else over the years. I guess our school holds secrets well. Would the principal know of it's location? What happens if something went wrong and no one could find us because the place is so secret?

Everyone looks impressed and Tiffany leans forward. "I even got my older brother to get us some booze as well as some fun treats for the party!"

"Fun treats?" What does she mean by that? I didn't realize I said that out loud until everyone's eyes are on me.

"She means special cookies and some joints to go around." Lee grins evilly at me.

I nod along. Ah, it's going to be that kind of party. Not that I don't mind, I've been to parties where they had weed, one with people snorting cocaine even. Me and Sidnee didn't stay too long at that one.

Friday finally arrives and I can feel the excitement in everyone. We all want to go to the super secret beach location and go cray cray. We have all been waiting for this moment since we came to this school and heard about it in whispers.

Unfortunately for me I have to work until 9 because I picked up extra hours. It's not busy in the restaurant tonight because everyone is getting ready for the party. I mean there are still people but not the usual group of teens that come in here after school.

"Hey Jen!" Andrew calls me as I am filling up some cups with tap water.

I stop what I am doing and turn to him. "What's up?"

"Are you heading home first then going to the party?"

"Uh, well yeah, I'm not going in my work clothes. Why?"

"Ryan is coming to pick me up so if you want you can ride with us so your mom doesn't have to come all the way to pick you up."

Hmm. Hitch a ride with them or go with my boring mom and annoying little brother? What's the harm in it... "Sure, thanks Andrew." I smile at him. "I'll let my mom know."

"Okay." He grins at me and walks away towards the back. I check to see if the boss is around, the coast is clear then I take my phone out and quickly shoot a text to my mom, delivered but not read. She is probably driving to Ben's game before she picks me up. I put my phone back in my pocket so I don't get caught and finish my task.

A few minutes later my phone vibrates.

'Okay sweetie! See you soon!'

Did I really just accept a ride with Andrew and Ryan? I'm going to be alone in a car. It'll be me and two guys. Chill Jen.

I meet Andrew at the entrance to the restaurant, Ryan is with him and they're talking. Andrew waves, since he is facing me and Ryan turns then smiles when he sees me walking up to them. The blush is instant under that gaze. Ugh, I could turn into a puddle right now.

"Hey guys."

"Sup?" Ryan replies. "How was work?"

What... Why the heck is asking? "Oh uh good. Thanks..." I stutter at his surprising question. It's like he is taking an interest in me. "Thanks for picking me up."

I wish I could of drove tonight but my mom is using the car. RIP.

"It's no problem." Ryan says with an even wider grin.  "It was Andrew's idea."

"Alright guys." Andrew cuts in, walking towards the exit. "Let's go party!"

By the time I get home we all get our texts giving us the location of the secret beach. Nelson meets me at my house so we can go together and waits while I get ready. What's awesome about the location is that it's actually not that far from my house so we can walk there. I am almost done putting my makeup on in the bathroom when Nelson yells at me from my room.

"Hurry up!"

I roll my eyes up to the ceiling. "Yes, yes! Don't get your thong in a knot!" What is he yelling at me for? He was in here first taking the longest doing his hair.

He just laughs. "Not before you get yours first!"

What a stinker. I am not wearing a thong, but I am wearing my bikini. I want to go swimming at night. I've done it a few times and it's so much fun.

I apply the last of my makeup, which is very minimal since it is night and I am planning on going in the water. "Okay, how do I look?" I ask Nelson when I step into my room. His eyes widen and a mischievous smile curls up.

"Looking like a goddess Jen!"

I grin back and compliment him. It is a shame he's gay, he's cute. Even though Nelson isn't in any sports teams he keeps in shape... Whoever he ends up with will be a lucky guy. Turning away, I grab a tank top and some short shorts to cover my bikini.

"Who do you got in your sights for tonight?" He asks me as he is checking his phone.

No, this is a time to relax and have fun. Get to know Ryan better or maybe even one of the guys... I shake my head. "No one. I just want to party, not hook up. What about you?"

Nelson nods, not judging my intentions, I hope, then grins. "I'm thinking I might go for it with Harry this time."

"Really?" He's had a crush on him for a while now and has been trying to start something with him. "Finally got the courage?"

"I will once I start drinking." He grins wider at me and stands up. "Are you ready to go yet? I want to get turnt up."

"Yeah, let's go."

I grab my phone and backpack that is also a towel and head for the stairs.

"Ma! We are leaving now!"

My mom and dad's head turn back to me and Nelson as they sit on the couch. Criminal Minds plays on the tv.

"Okay sweetie." She blows me a kiss. "Be safe and have fun!"

"Call us if you need anything too." My dad says then turns back to watch his show.

"We will. Bye!"
