I was floating in emptiness. I could move my arms and legs but they felt weightless. I tried to open my eyes but all I saw was black. I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard two men talking.

"Sir, where did you say you found her again?" One man asked while walking closer to me. Each foot step he took felt like a sledgehammer had hit my heart.

"She was under a pile of house rubble, right off of Dewey St. No one else was found in the rubble with her." The second man said, his voice was scratchy but also smooth at the same time. All I wanted to do was open my eyes and see the beautiful face to match the amazing voice but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't.

"Ok thank you, now if you don't mind I am going to give her a drug to help her wake up and I would like to be the only one in here." The first dude said walking even closer to me and his footsteps and become less pounding in my ears.

"That's ok, I have to get to school anyways, umm just call me when I can visit." The boy said as his voice and footsteps got farther and farther away from me. I was sad at the thought of not being able to see him. Soon I heard the door shut and what felt like ice raced through my veins waking every cell with in my body, I could feel my eyelids become heavy and my body no longer felt weightless but like a ton of bricks holding me down but I could not wiggle my toes.

"Miss please open your eyes." The first dude said which I am assuming he is the doctor. I did what he asked and slowly opened my eyes to be met with a white ceiling. "What do you remember?"

I cleared my throat before trying to speak, only two words came to mind, "Ivy Charlotte" My tongue feel dry and my mind felt empty.

"Is that your name?" He asked, I nodded my head and then said "That's all I can remember." He nodded his head again and picked up his tablet to update my chart I'm sure.

I was taking in my surroundings when he walked back over to me and started talking, "You have only minor injuries, a fractured wrist, second degree concussion, two broken ribs, you have slight nerve damage in your leg which may result in paralysis in that limb, and a splintered hip bone, which might cause you a lot of pain but as long as it doesn't get worse you shouldn't need surgery." I nodded slowly, I thought he said only minor injuries. "You could have died so the fact that you survived at all is amazing. You will be going home in about 6 hours, you have been in a coma for about 4 days."

"But sir," I interrupted, "I don't have a home, or at least I don't remember it. Where am I supposed to go?"

"Someone will be here to collect you." He said as if it was a normal thing to send people home with random strangers. I nodded kind of speechless. He walked out so I decided to get some sleep before I was 'collected' .

I was woken up but the doctor walking in with a very handsome man having a conversation.

"Here she is, awake and alert, she should be a very good addition to your pack, once you get her back up to speed. I have already given you all her medications and all her follow up appointments. I trust you to take care of her. I will leave you too alone." He said walking away I silently pleaded with him not to leave me with this handsome stranger. The new guy nodded his head at the doctor and as soon as the door was shut he walked over to the far side of the room and sat in the chair. I was very confused by his action but I kept my eyes on him not breaking the staring contest.

Alex's POV

I observed her, she seemed scared, her body was curled into a ball and she was slightly shivering. I needed to take her back to the pack but she is way to scared of me right now to explain everything to her. I am the Alpha of the Whitefire pack. We are the largest pack in America and we only answer to the Pack Law, we are a warrior pack which means we do a lot of training to fight for the Pack laws.

This beautiful girl in front of me is my mate, I want to take her home right now and show her off but she is extremely scared and she has no memories besides her name. She is a human so she probably didn't know about werewolves before her accident so either way telling her will be hard but for right now I am just going to wait until she trusts me somewhat.
