Once upon a time there was a starving girl that happened to be my friend.
She asked me for my extra orange and of course I said yes!
I got it from my locker but by that time we had to go to gym class.
She was gone and I couldn't give it to her.
I had to keep it the whole gym class.

I set it down
And of course what happens
Someone comes along and steps on it
And throws it to the ground
Demolishes it to a stain on the sidewalk

How could you be so cruel? What has that orange done to you?
Is it something I did?
It was meant for a starving girl
And of course the sidewalk was more important
Than her

And that just made me want to cry
I already wanted to cry,
I just came from lunch
Which was a repeat of last chapter
Now my starving friend
Stays hungry
And I can't explain
That it wasn't my fault
Now she's mad
All because you had some hatred
For a helpless thing
On the ground

You hated it so much you had to destroy it?

But why?

All these tears
Have almost broken the dam
I just need to cry
In the shoulder of a friend

But the shoulder's missing

Which leaves me feeling depressed
And sad
My sadness was never meant to be shared
No one cares about
