It was a normal day like any other. Chapter 4 of poppy playtime came out a couple months ago and Lexa watched Zack play it because it was entertaining. Admittedly he had a tought time with it and would get frustrated so she was also there for support and so he doesn't break his gaming set up.

She enjoyed the new characters such as doey and yarnaby. While both were great, she definitely likes yarnaby the best. He was cute in a weird way especially with those eyes he's like that thing people say "no thoughts. Head empty" and Lexa just loved that.

"ARE YOU FVCKING KIDDING ME! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THIS SH!T IF THAT OVERGROWN CAT IS EVERYWHERE?!"

"Funny how you call him an overgrown cat when catnap was like three times his size and he was an actual cat."

"SHUT UP!"

Zack was trying to do the puzzle with the handscanners, power cords, and keycards. He's getting an idea of what he needs to do. But is still having a hard time.

Lexa ran out of water and was going to go get more.

"Hey I'm going to get more water, you want anything?"

Zack paused the game so his mind can focus.

"...just get me a coke."

"Alright, don't break your gaming setup while I'm gone."

Lexa POV:

As I was getting some water and a coke for Zack Sunday came down and we talked for a bit. He was adjusting well enough to his new and hopefully temporary home.

I mentioned how I was going to go into the basement later and clean it up a bit and see if I can make some adjustments to it.

"Oh! How about I handle the cleaning you work to hard you need a break."

"Sunday that's really kind but I-"

"I insist. I will be fine. But go back to Zack I heard him yelling quite loudly as I walked by his room."

"Alright, thank you Sunday."

Sunday ventured into the basement and started moving things around while sweeping around the basement, when he went deeper he heard a growl and some strange music playing. he used his phone flashlight to look around until in the darkness he spotted two white dots. He moved the flashlight to look and there he saw a yarn like creature. He sighed and laughed

"Oh...hahaha...it's just some old toy."

Then ever so suddenly it's face split open showing jagged teeth on the sides and a tiny mouth in the center.

Sunday looked in horror as he opened his mouth and...

Lexa POV:

I was watching Zack continue to play the game along with dabi who got bored. When suddenly a blood curdling scream rang through the house.

I rushed out to see what was going on when Sunday ran right into me. Me having slow reaction time and him not stopping in time we both end up on the floor

I look up at Sunday as he looked down at me. I was bit surprised and flustered by the position we landed in but he was too scared by something to notice.

"M-miss Lexa t-theres some kind of m-monster!"

"A monster? Douma doesn't come out during the day."

I said thinking he was talking about douma.

"N-no it's not mister douma! It's s-something else."

Sunday said before catnap ran into the house from his walk in the forest.

"I heard screaming! What's wrong?!"

Before Sunday could reply something started running down the hall with a loud screech. Me and Sunday hugged each other out of instinct. But catnap immediately pinned it down as he growled.

I got up to see what it was.

It was yarnaby! He was screeching, while clawing at the floor.

"Oh no."

Well with him asleep from catnaps gas and a few metals pipes mended together and then screwed in the wall and high enough for him to not able jump over. We were able to put yarnaby into some kind of containment.

When he woke up, he circles around seemingly agitated.

"So...how do we do this one?"

Lexa asked L

"I...don't really know he won't listen to our words he's like a ravenous animal. Even if he slightly understands us."

"He probably won't listen. What if we try taming him?"

"I mean there's not anything else we can do. Let's get him some food and water and see how that goes."

Lexa and L got a big container of water and a big piece of steak.

Since they couldn't get to close they slide the bowl of water inside a little opening they made with an umbrella and the same for the meat.

Much like catnap yarnaby devoured it in minutes probably starving.

"Now what?"

Lexa asked

"Let's just hope overtime he gets comfortable around us and eventually won't want to kill us."

And that's how it went for weeks Lexa would come in and give yarnaby food and water. But also started hanging out in there so yarnaby could get comfortable with her.

She'd bring videos they could watch together, or she'd read children story books she used to teach Zack how to read when she started reading and writing lessons with him after much bargaining.

She watched a theory video regarding the ARG involving chapter 4 and how Harley sawyer isolated yarnaby so yarnaby became solely dependent on him to have better control of him.

Lexa decided to do that too but not in the evil way sawyer did just so she can give him more freedom to roam without her having to worry about him attacking anyone.

She'd bring toys he could play with but he'd end up just ripping them up.

Once awhile she'd try to pet him as a test to see if he was starting to trust her. She'd pull her hand back in time when he'd tried to bite her.

after the 17th try she was able to pet him without him trying bitting her.

Then she started going into the containment but someone nearby who could pull her out quickly if he went for an attack.

But most went fine. Sometimes he tried to bite her still but was pulled out by the brothers or mitsuri or rengoku would quickly run in grab her before yarnaby could bite her. Eventually she could be in the containment without him bitting her. They'd play small or she'd pet or cuddle him. All would go good as he nuzzled Lexa trusting her and enjoying her affection

Then one day Lexa decided to bring yarnaby out and let him walk with her. Anytime he growled at a roommate Lexa would stand in front of him and wag her finger while saying

"No. No bitting yarnaby."

A few more days of this and yarnaby learned that he can't bite anyone or else he gets scolded.

Yarnaby then began being friendly with everyone. Such as L, satan, Lucifer, and most surprisingly catnap. Since both were toys catnap and yarnaby were suspicious of each other but both got along due to their catlike behave. Yarnaby would swipe at catnaps tail and catnap would pet him alike a yarnball and both loved to take naps curled up together along with Lexa.

Yarnaby was almost as catlike as catnap. He liked to scratch up things, purr, curious, likes being pet and snuggled, nuzzling against Lexa. He also liked messing with lexa's Amazon boxes after she opens them. He'll try to jump into the then but just end up squishing them. Which would make Lexa stiffly back a laugh or giggle. She has a few recording of it.

The only catlike thing he didn't do was make biscuits or knock things over on purpose...unlike catnap.

Yarnaby also got along with frostbite and Merida. Merida barked at him at first but after realizing that Lexa was okay with him she also became okay with yarnaby.

Lexa caught all four of them napping the same place together and took a dozen pictures.

Mitsuri squealed while petting yarnaby

"Yeah, and the yarn is really fun to braid."

March added braiding yarnaby's yarn.

"The face splitting open it a little disturbing though..."

Rengoku said but also petting yarnaby

"Are you kidding, thats sick!"

Dabi said as he watched from the couch

"Zzz...zzz...zzz..."

Belphie snored while napping on yarnaby.

Yarnaby was just soaking up the attention loving it! He was just a big soft deadly cat-lion.

"Catnap! Did you teach yarnaby to leave dead animals carcasses on the porch!"

Lexa yelled as catnap ran away to hide in his room to hopefully avoid a scolding.
