(Metal Sonic's P.O.V.)

"I think there has been a mistake."

*Same Day several hours earlier*

Eggman was putting together a large crate to hold a present for whom he assumes is another villain. The reason being is to establish a potential alliance. It has been two weeks since the assumed villain had nearly destroyed the town with what could only be described as an "Inky Monstrosity". As usual my loathsome copy managed to destroy it, ironically with his one weakness. To think such a large monster could be destroyed with a liter of water. Pathetic. "Metal I need you to go into sleep mode for eight hours." Eight hours? Probably giving me some new upgrades. I do as I'm told and shut down.

*Eight Hours Later*

As I initiate my wake sequence I notice something's wrong. First, I'm staring at a wooden wall. Second, it's dark and I have to use night vision. Third, there's a book in my hands. An instruction manual written by Eggman. I break out of what is clearly the crate Eggman was putting together earlier and come face to face with the so called villain, Ori. I toss aside the book, anger flooding my processors. I heave a sigh, "I think there has been a mistake." She looks completely stunned. Shaking herself out of it she walks over to the book I carelessly tossed aside. I read the title. "Proper care and maintenance for your Metal Sonic".
