{Caspian's POV}

I led Alex into the gym and towards instructor Curry. The tall brunette looked at us with a faint smile growing on her lips.

"Caspian, good to see you." she began and then turned to Alex, "you must be Alex."

"Yes ma'am." Alex replied.

Mrs. Curry plopped a boy's gym uniform into Alex's hands. I swore I saw Alex gulp... Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me. I led Alex to the males' changing room.

"Hey guys this is Alex." I introduced the smaller boy.

"Caspian, are you okay?" another guy named Evan asked.

I cocked an eyebrow, "Yeah. I'm fine. Why?"

"This 'Alex' you speak of is nowhere to be seen..." Evan replied.

I looked behind me; sure enough, Alex was gone.

"KYAAAAAAA! PERVERT!"

"I'M SORRY!"

All the boys turned to the door as Alex sprinted in wide eyed.

"Alex! What were you thinking?!" I shouted.

Alex put a hand to his heart and looked up at me, "I went into the wrong one..." he said in a raspy voice.

Evan burst in laughter along with a few other boys. I sighed and shook  my head.

"Hurry up and get changed." I chuckled.

{Alex's POV}

Caspian looked at me expectantly. My mind squirmed to find something to say.

'What do I do?! I can't change here! But if I don't...'

I looked up at Caspian nervously. Caspian cocked an eyebrow at me.

"I get it!" someone finally exclaimed. I looked over to see Ethan smirking at me, "Alex is shy. Aren't you?"

My eyes snapped wide open and I nodded furiously. Murmurs began to fill the room until Caspian finally spoke up.

"Let's give Alex his privacy."

Everyone nodded in agreement and left. As soon as the room was emptied I let out the breath I was holding.

"That was close..." I murmured and got changed.

I rushed out into the gym where everyone else had gathered. I jogged up next to Caspian and Ethan.

"Finally. Took you long enough." Caspian whispered.

"Sorry." I whispered back.

"Today since we got a newbie, we'll take it easy. Let's play dodgeball!" mrs. Curry exclaimed.

The students whooped and cheered. Soon we were separated into teams. Hannah and I were on the opposite team to Caspian and Ethan. I smirked at Caspian.

"Ethan I'm gonna rip your balls off!" Hannah shouted.

I stared at her with a weird expression. Ethan visibly gulped.

"She's competitive..." someone murmured.

"Game on!" Mrs. Curry shouted.

I ran for a ball and chucked it at some unsuspecting kid. It nailed him right in the nose as he bent down to grab a ball; he flopped backwards holding his nose.

"Ack!" he yelped.

"S-sorry!" I called; the boy looked at me and scowled. 

"Impressive aim." Hannah chuckled from behind me; I just rubbed the back of my head awkwardly.

The rest of the game was pretty standard; a fierce battle happening between the two teams. Before I knew it, only Hannah, Ethan, Caspian, and I were left. I grinned and grabbed a ball rolling towards me. 

"This is the final assault Alex; make sure you get 'em good!" Hannah chirped picking up another ball. 

I nodded and eyed down Caspian; he stood tensed, ready to dodge at any second. I formed a plan in my mind and stood up straight. I lifted my arm and arced it to throw. Caspian moved and I grinned; I brought my hand back and threw the ball. Caspian, shocked, tried to evade the attack but slipped and fell on his rear. 

"CASSSSSSSS"

"Huh?" I blinked.

"PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII"

"Not this again..." Hannah groaned.

"ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!"

Ethan lunged in front of Caspian and took the hit. He fell in front of Caspian with an extra dramatic 'oof' added. He laid still, almost dead like.

"Ethan!" Caspian cried and crawled to him.

"C-Casp-ian... you to keep going... for me." Ethan then coughed and pretend died.

My eyes drooped and my back slumped, "Uh... what?"

"This happens everytime Caspian is about to get hit." Hannah explained; clearly annoyed. 

"Ethan," Caspian sniffed, "I will not let your sacrifice be in vain!" 

"Is he actually... crying...?" I gawked. 

"Uh huh." Hannah replied. 

Caspian stood up and grabbed as many dodgeballs as he could; a dark aura seemed to be coming off him. My muscles tensed; I got ready.

"YOU WILL PAY FOR HIS SACRIFICE!" Caspian yelled and started throwing at hyper speed.

"Wah!" I gasped and nearly dodged a projectile.

Three more were flying at my face; I blinked and before I knew it I had dove to the ground. A throbbing pain started in my chin. 

"Owww..." I groaned and stood up.

"Watch it!" Hannah yelled and stepped in front of me. 

"Hannah!" I exclaimed as she was hit.

I picked up a ball and dodged a few. I waited for the perfect time to strike.

"Now!" I yelled and threw.

Time seemed to slow as everyone watched; the ball flew through the air, soon coming into contact with the side of Caspian's head. Everyone was silent and still.

"He was hit..."

"No way. No one wins after he goes all out..."

"Newbie is amazing..."

Suddenly clapping and cheering erupted from my watching peers. I turned and looked at the applauding classmates. I blushed slightly and chuckled nervously. 

"Nice aim Al. You really got me." 

I turned and saw Caspian with a big goofy grin. I smiled and nodded.

"Thanks."
