Background ~ She grew up in Daegu, very poor and, in order to make money to support herself and her family, she auditioned to be a part of Vanilla Girls and she was the first member to be cast. Ever since then, she has tried her best to get along with all the new trainees and make sure she is a good example for the younger ones as the oldest member of the group.

She is a perfectionist and always aims to be the very best she can be, and goes above and beyond with everything she does.

Background ~ She grew up as an over-achieving student who received scholarships and many college opportunities. However, she knew that she wanted to spend her life singing, so she auditioned to be a part of Vanilla Girls. The people at YOU entertainment were so impressed with her talent and dedication that she was signed on as the second member of Vanilla Girls. She continues to be her hard-working self and is a source of inspiration for the other members.

Personality ~ Ji-woo is a very realistic person. She believes that people are only interested in taking care of themselves and that she shouldn't bother anybody else and that nobody should bother her. She is very hardworking and she believes that everyone should follow their own path and not influence others to do things they don't want to. 

Background ~ Ji-woo grew up as the middle child, so she was often neglected compared to her older and younger brothers. She was often verbally and mentally abused, so at a very young age, she left home and followed her passion to be a trainee at YOU entertainment. She auditioned for Vanilla Girls and made it in as the third member of the group.

Weakness ~ She can be sometimes annoying to people because she always wans everybody to be happy and follow her positive example, but doesn't know she can be a little overbearing about it

Personality ~ Min-a is a very happy person! She is very bubbly, energetic, and kind. She is also a very sensitive person and if somebody says something with intentions to hurt her, even though in public she will brush it off with a smile, as soon as she gets home she'll spend the day in her room crying into her favorite stuffed animal. She has characteristics of a puppy, as the other group members say, and is always fun to be around. She also has a very big appetite all the time!

Background ~ Min-a grew up having a life where her family members were always unhappy. Rather than being unhappy with them, she resolved to be a very positive person to help them become more positive themselves. When her efforts had no effect though, she decided to leave her home and do what made her happy - sing, dance, and perform. She auditioned to be a part of Vanilla Girls and made it as a trainee and as the fourth member of the group.

Personality ~ Se-yeol is a very fun-loving person, but she also knows when it is time to be serious and work hard, even when it is hard for her. She's very sociable and likes to make friends, even though she can be a bit awkward at times. She is a romantic and often spends her time watching Korean romance dramas and writing romance novels. 

Background ~ Se-yeol was a college student studying abroad in North America. However, when coming back to South Korea for a family trip, they encouraged her to audition for YOU Entertainment and make the best of her talents. She agreed to it, not thinking she would be accepted, but she did so good at her audition that she was immediately a trainee and cast as the fifth and final member of Vanilla Girls. Since then, she has finished her studying in North America where she learned how to speak fluent English and continues to study at a Korean university.
