Hey Rebel-lions, on Instagram, I set up a poll asking readers about the story they would want me to continue next, and quite a number of you voted for TRS, so here we are.

I'm gonna be posting updates on this story, every Friday. If you've been my long-time reader, you would know that I've always found it difficult to follow updating schedules, and that was probably because I was still in school. But now that I'm done for now, I want to try again and see if it would be possible to stick to it.

Hope you enjoy this update.

Quick question: What's your favorite holiday?

Ivy

We reached the general training room on time.

Although I still had no clue why Glory wanted us there, or what this could be about, but a small part of me knew that whatever it was, it couldn't be good.

I couldn't also deny the fact that I was somewhat nervous, the last time I had seen Ethan was at that party. I was in shock and I couldn't really get a word out.

Knowing what to expect from this was out of the question, seeing as I wasn't really sure if I could stomach the look of unfamiliarity, he would most definitely give me.

The eyes which once looked at me with nothing but admiration and love, now looked at me with no single recognition.

I took in a deep breath as we neared the general training room.

It's okay, Ivy. Everything is going to fall into place, sooner than later.

Out of the corner of my eye, I spotted Markel coming from another hallway, and ahead of me, was Lulu, Code and Abby.

"I'm beginning to think Glory didn't just send for us alone." Voiced Fiona

"Something is up." Caramel noted.

Markel's gaze raised and caught mine, his brows etching down in a frown as we all met in the middle, right in front of the general training room.

"I'm guessing I wasn't the only one disturbed by the Curts." Markel said.

I let out a breath. "If Glory called us all here, there's trouble."

"You think she needs our help?" Abby asked. "Why would she need my help? Or my brother's for that matter."

Code threw her a cold glare, before sliding both hands into his pockets. "We all know how ugly it went the last time the rebel-lions got all up in Glory's business."

"I'm not a Rebel-lion, I don't even know why I'm here." Lulu stated, fixing her glasses appropriately on her face.

Roman raised a hand. "Wait... something really is up... we all here have some sort of history, pretty ugly ones, I don't think that's a coincidence, she knows what she's doing."

I stopped to think about it, looking at our circle.

There's Abby who once hated my guts just because I was human, there's Code, who was weird with me, until Ethan intervened, there's Lulu who basically introduced Roman to Lit, there's Fiona who doesn't exactly like her because of that. Caramel who murdered my parents, and finally, Markel who was a possible hinderance to going as close to Ethan like I would want to.

It's all connected.

"I feel like she's about to fuck up our minds, make us turn against each other or something." Fiona said.

"Why would she want to do that?"

"Because she's the devil incarnate herself. It's also the mind-numbing fact that behind this door are powerful half human people ready to toy with our damn minds." Caramel said.

"I don't get it, one day she asks to call a truce and the next, she's basically provoking war." I let out.

Markel reached out to hold my hand. "Hey, I know what she's capable of," he said, looking right into my eyes. "It's a plus for us, because we are prepared, she once caught you all off guard, but this time would be different."

I managed a nod as he looked at the rest of us. "We're gonna walk in there, and then we're gonna listen to what she has to say. We're gonna stick together, make sure she doesn't succeed in weaving her webs. Superiors or not, we're much more stronger together."

"I agree." Fiona said.

"Come on guys." Caramel moved forward. "Let's see what this whole thing is all about."

I swallowed my nerves, as Markel squeezed my hand in his, a way to pass comfort.

The minute Caramel pushed the door open, Markel leaned in so only I could hear what he was about to say. "I'm glad you're not doing this alone. I'm glad I'm here."

I managed a smile at him. "Me too."

I looked away from him as we walked into the general training room.

Warmth... his warmth engulfed me the second I walked in, and it was two times intense than it once used to feel.

My gaze carried me towards my left-hand side, seeing the superiors, all cladded in their white attires, talking animatedly with each other, but as we all walked in, they each got distracted, their attention now on us.

He was there.

Ethan.

He was the only one who didn't get distracted, his head was casted downwards as he studied a plain white paper, soaking up its content... but just then, almost like he sensed me looking at him, he raised his head from the paper.

Like last night, everything seemed to happen in slow motion.

My heart was hammering and all I could focus on was him, all I could feel was him...

His eyes studied us as we walked in, one by one, until his gaze hesitantly locked with mine.

It locked, and stayed that way.

He didn't look away, and neither did I.

He didn't look at me with recognition, and at the same time, he didn't look at me without one, he just looked at me.

He didn't take his eyes off, didn't blink.

I swallowed as those eyes gingerly moved from my head to my toe, almost as if assessing me, checking for anything unusual.

Then quickly, his eyes rose to mine, then briefly shifted to my hand intertwined with Markel's, and then to Markel, before wandering back to me, stayed a few seconds longer, before he looked away, back to the paper, almost as if he didn't find what he had been looking for.

What was that? Does he recognize me? does he feel it? What I feel? Why would he look at me like that?

I looked away when we all settled on a spot across them.

"Are you okay?" Markel asked, finally releasing my hand.

"As okay as someone in my position can be." I told him, before furrowing my brows. "How did you know he was back?"

"Rumors... didn't know until last night when you left Ricky's party, Ethan was and is still the celebrity he once was." Markel said, stealing a glance from the superiors circle. "I heard he doesn't remember a thing."

I let out a breath. "He will remember. We just need to get him away from Glory first."

Markel gave me a look. "How are you going to do that?"

"I don't know." I answered honestly.

His throat worked, before he turned to face me. "I know it's not my place to say this... but—Do you think he would want that? I mean," Markel looked back at their circle, and I followed his gaze. "He fits perfectly amongst them. I know it must hurt but, he was gone for a year, with Glory. There's literally a low possibility that he might recover from whatever the hell she put him through."

"Low is still a possibility, Markel." Fiona said, taking our attention from the superiors. "We don't give up on each other, we try everything. Damn the consequences."

"I'm not suggesting you give up on him, Fiona. it's best to be prepared."

I gulped down, looking up at Markel. "You're right." I said, earning a frown from Fiona. "It might be impossible to undo whatever Glory did, but nothing stops us from trying. Can we count on you to help, Markel?"

He smiled at me. "Of course, V. anything for you."

"Uh... incoming." Code announced.

I followed his trail of vision to see Ethan and Silas walking towards us.

My heart jumped, pumping blood unnecessarily faster to my veins.

"Caramel... you're one of them Rebel-lions?" Silas said as they both reached us, he placed his hand across his chest, feigning hurt. "I feel like you used me. Was last night even real?"

Caramel raised an uninterested brow at him. "Yeah, unfortunately, I fucked a 7-year-old... in a God knows how old body."

"Ouch, age is really a sensitive topic for me." His gaze shifted from Caramel to meet me. "Oh hi, Ivy."

Ethan just looked around us. "I've heard a lot about the Rebel-lions, a real pleasure finally meeting you guys, Silas tells me the gang's legendary."

"We're much more than a gang." Abby voiced. "We're family."

Ethan blinked. "Right. Family." He gave us an awkward smile, before he finally looked at me. "You're that girl from the party, last night, right?"

Everyone was suddenly quiet as if they depended on my response to carry on the conversation.

I met his gaze, the fisher way it is. "Right, I thought I recognized you as the rude stranger who assumed I was deaf after emptying his beer in my bra."

His brows shot up, almost as if that was the last thing, he had expected me to say.

Almost everyone was caught by surprise at my response.

Silas blinked, looking over at Ethan, his eyes widening as if he saw something we didn't.

"Don't do it." Silas muttered under his breath. "Don't do it, Ethan, don't—"

"If it's the bra you're worried about, I'm an expert in selecting those, I could get you a new one but, I would need to know," Ethan's eyes dropped to my chest. "the size you wear."

"Wow." Roman voiced from somewhere behind me.

What?

"I'm sorry, I hope the boyfriend wouldn't mind?" Ethan's eyes shifted to Markel.

Markel's face had hardened. "I'm not her boyfriend, but I'll happily punch you in the face for that comment."

"Wow, I'm so scared." Ethan chuckled.

Markel took a step forward, but I was quick to stop him. "I'll handle this."

I found Ethan's eyes on me when I looked back at him.

There was a little bit of mischief and amusement dancing in his eyes as he looked down at me.

"Okay, mummy's boy," he frowned at the term in which I addressed him. "I feel like you're trying to flirt with me, but I'm afraid you're getting it all wrong, then again, I don't blame you... inexperience sucks."

The amusement and mischief faded from his eyes as he took a step closer to me, bending a little as he got in my personal space, not that I minded. "Funny," he said. "I feel like we both know who the inexperienced one is between us," his eyes roamed my face, drinking it in before the side of his lips kicked up in a smirk. "Ponytail."

Vote and Comment;)

I know, the cliff hanger, am I right?

Tell me, what's on your mind!

Why do you think Glory gathered them all there?

And Ethan? What do you think? Is there a possibility that he recognizes her?

BECAUSE, PONYTAIL PEOPLE!

Okay, we'll just have to find out in the next chapter, coming next week Friday. (I would maybe try to fix in another day so we can have updates come in twice a week, if you see another update before next Friday, that would be the other day asides from Friday, that updates would come in.)
