'If you really want to take down this dimension, and stop the new one from being built, ask Ethan to give me a call before it is too late. I have some information that would most definitely help the Rebel-lions. My offer doesn't stay on for too long.'
Dean.
My eyes went over the words several times before I could even react to what was written in there. Dean wanted to help us? What information could he have? Why does he want to give it to us? And Glory, was this the information she was scared about? Could Dean have the information Glory had been scared would fall right into our grasp?
"He's working with Glory to help bring the other dimension to life." Ethan cleared up.
I nodded, taking in the new information. "So this means when he says he does have information, then he really does have information?"
Ethan nodded, but there was confusion in his gaze. "I don't trust Dean. Nobody trusts Dean, not even Glory."
"If he says he really does want to help, maybe he does... maybe he wants out just like everyone of us."
Ethan shook his head. "Or maybe it's all a trap. Dean is a cunning bastard. Everything he does has a reason, a purpose, one that would undoubtedly be in his favour. He's just as cruel as Glory... I don't think we can trust him."
Maybe we indeed can't, but what if he was being true to his word? This could be our only chance of stoping Glory and her insane plans for a new dimension. "I think we should take the risk, Ethan."
His eyes widened, clearly shocked by my response. "What?"
"We don't have to trust him. We just have to hear him out, see if he really does have a means to help us, and then we'll know where to go from there."
"I don't have a good feeling about that, Ivy. I know this guy."
"Well that's great then, you'll help us prepare to face him."
The resignation in his eyes told me he knew he could't talk me out of it.
Even if he wanted to, I wasn't about to let him talk me out of it. I was going to take whatever chance we had, even if we had to fraternize with a demon to do it.

Regardless Deans' displeasure on the mode of meeting, we were all in the safe confinement of the RTR with the supervision of Malcolm.
Fiona and Caramel had also joined in on the meeting, although, Fiona wasn't too pleased on my decision to hear him out, but she understood that we needed to, if we really wanted to put an end to Glory and this madness. Now it wasn't just about us, but about the 10 who went missing, and we had absolutely no idea on where they were or what Glory had in store for them.
Dean, just like Glory looked really young, you would think he was just approaching his mid thirties. He was probably using the same means Glory used stay alive and stuck in one age.
My focus came back to the silent building, as we all watched each other, you could feel the tension around the whole room. It felt like everyone had a score to pick with this guy. The smug look on his face was prove enough that he knew it, and he was enjoying every minute of his time here.
I cleared my throat which seemed to have dried up in worry and anticipation. "Why help her if you don't want to have anything to do with this dimension or the new one she's building?" I asked, since no one else bothered to initiate the conversation, and get this over with.
He gave me a calm look. "There are some things that can't be explained with just mere words." he said, his voice calm. "Why I am submissive to Glory's demands is one of them."
Ethan hadn't said a word since Dean walked into the test room. looking at the face of everyone, it was safe to say that they despised Dean's presence. Roman wasn't even looking. When I had told him about Dean's letter and my decision to meet with him and hear him out, he had asked if I was out of my mind, seeing as the guy was literally responsible for him not being totally human.
"Why do you want to help us then?" Ralph asked. "Let it be a valid reason." He added.
"This dimension, the new world she's building, is a replica of earth. A delusion created to turn the minds of everyone who wants out of this place. If she succeeds, we are never getting out of here. We'll have no freedom, and we wouldn't even realise that we are all locked up in her little world. This new dimension was created to fuck up our minds."
The silence grew more tense, almost like everyone realized the severity of the matter at the same time.
If the dimension were to be built, and if glory succeeded in getting everyone across, then that's it, that's the end of the Rebel-lions, we were never getting out. We were going to be bound to this other world and locked away from earth finally. The freedom we so seek would be lost forever and we wouldn't even realise it... that is just sick.
"What is this information you have for us, then? What could be capable of preventing this chaos waiting to happen? And how are we sure Glory hasn't already caught a whiff of this?" Malcolm threw the questions at him.
"Also," Caramel cut in. "Why us? Your army's way larger and dangerous than ours, if you know the way to put an end to the dimension and get us all the hell out of here, why haven't you done so already? Why are you coming to us, when you can as well, do the job yourself."
All eyes shifted to Dean who looked like he had been expecting that question to be asked. "The Rebel-lions were created for this purpose, were they not? My people want nothing to with the inner workings of this dimension, meaning they do not want to concern themselves with Glory and her business." He said. "Besides, Glory would smell me coming even before I start the journey to ambush her."
Ethan scoffed. "Still a fool, are we Dean?" He asked Dean, whose smug smile for the first time, faltered. "What makes you think Glory doesn't know about your betrayal already?"
Dean raised a brow at him.
"She know the Rebel-lions are going to get an information that could damage her whole plan."
"And she told you about it?"
"Yes she did." Ethan answered.
Dean smirked. "Well then it's settled. She has no way of stopping the Rebel-lions, that's why she came to you. if she already had a way to deal with everything, then I'm sure she wouldn't have even bothered."
Roman groaned. "I think we're all missing the main reason for your coming here, Dean. What is this information you think is going to help us?"
"Think? Well, more like know." Dean said.
"Well spit it out, James Bond, we don't have all day." Ralph snapped.
Dean shot him a glare.
"We have to get the Core." He finally let out.
Caramel rolled her eyes. "Here we go again, what Core?" She asked.
"The Core holding this dimension and the one she is building together. I would have had more information if she hadn't cut me off the moment she could handle everything else herself."
"How important is this Core if we find it?" Malcolm asked.
"Easy, destroy the Core, destroy both dimension and everyone is free."
"Free how?" I asked.
"A portal would automatically open in each sector, and it's going to be opened for two hours, enough time for everyone to go through before the dimension vanishes into the thin line between reality and life."
"Technically, you mean self destruct right?" Edith asked, speaking for the first time.
"Yes, technically." Dean responded.
"Do you know where this Core is?" Fiona asked.
"Luckily, I was fortunate to find its location before I got cut off."
Ethan sighed. "A yes would have been fine."
Dean ignored that. "The Core is hidden in the Facility. On the 13th floor."
Ethan furrowed his brows.
"No one goes into the 13th floor." Malcolm informed. "It's out of limits for everyone, even the officials, except Glory herself, and the people she authorised." He said.
Dean nodded in confirmation of that. "That is about right. I have the authorisation but I have no means of going there, seeing as I am. restricted from entering into the Facility. I can give you the key card."
I nodded. "So... say it works and we get the Core, how are we going to destroy it?"
The sound of a phone blaring, caught our attention. Looking around I noticed it was Ralph's phone. He sighed, reaching for it. "Excuse me." He said, walking out of the test room.
"So?" I asked, urging Dean to continue.
"I am the only one who can destroy it, so you will give the Core to me, and I'll see to it that it's destroyed." He said.
Ethan's brows went up. "You must think we're fools."
"You don't have to trust me Eth. But I assure you that I want nothing more than to live my life like a normal human being for once." He said, sounding sincere, to me at least, cause the rest people in the room didn't look like they were buying anything he was saying. "I've spent my years regretting my decision on joining Glory on this stupid path, I had spent years trying to find something interesting out of this dimension, created many things, destroyed lives out of boredom; and I am just about done, and ready to move on from this life. I want to start a new one, the one I didn't get to live."
We all exchange glances, and I was quite sure everyone else was considering it.
"The Rebel-lions are our only shot at getting out of this place. This is an opportunity we have to grab before it passes." Dean added.
I swallowed, my gaze meeting Ethan's. He raised a brow at me, silently asking for permission. I found myself giving a small nod.
I mentally chanted to myself that I was making the right decision. Even if this doesn't work out in our favour, we were making a move and that was something.
Ethan took in a deep breath, then let it out. "Fine. We'll find the Core and get it to you, do anything funny, and you're dead."
Dean gave a small nod, the smirk on his face unwavering. "You have my trust, even if you will never believe that."
Ethan ignored him, turning to me again. "Are you sure about this, Ponytail, we can find another way, I can-"
"I'm sure, Ethan." I told him, giving him a reassuring smile. "Lets put an end to this, once and for all."
