"Unho! Unho! Dulhan Tayari hai ki abhi aur sajhna dajhna baaki hai? Mein yaad dila dun Shadi ajj hi hai kahin humari Gauri Rani soch rahin ho hafte baad hai." Omkara laughed slightly as he said so, He took the support of the open door staring within as Gauri was hidden from his sight by all her friends surrounding her and decking her up. As soon as he said so, a commotion ensured in the room as all Gauri's friends moved aside and revealed the girl is a red lehenga to him.

As Gauri was looking in the mirror fitting in her earring, she heard  Omkara's words, her brows furrowed and keeping the earring down she instantly turned and got up looking angrily at Omkara.

"Humein yaad hai Humari shadi kab hai, Tumhe batane ki zarorat nahi hai...Aur Omkara Ji, Tayar hain hum, Bas yeh baliyan reh gayi, Pehen kar panch minute mein aate hain, Jau tum." Omkara tried hard but looking at cute innocent girl with her ever so childish and sweet anger, he couldn't control but break into a laughter again.

 Nodding, He turned to leave when a voice suddenly stopped him, " Waise na Humari Saari Saheliyon ne humein Tayyar kiya hai ajj milkar, bas tum hi reh gaye...Yeh Bali pehnaoge?" With a sweet smile, Omkara turned back and nodded and moved towards her.

As he raised his hands to take the earring from Gauri, He saw a drop of tear move in her eyes, he ignored it and took the earring.

Carefully he fitted the earring in her ear, his smile never leaving him...he could feel her gaze on him-angry, Painful...hopeful but all he did was ignore it.

" Hogaya, Chalein?" He questioned as soon as he was done as he looked behind Gauri at her friends trying his best to avoid looking at her.

"Chalo..." Reema, Gauri's friend came forward  as she held Gauri's shoulders, Omkara was turning to leave as Reema spoke, "Yeh kya, Ansoon kyun baha rahi hai abhi se hi? Chehra kharab karegi shadi ke din, Bidaai par ro lio na Gauri..." 

Her eyes looking into Omkara's who couldn't stop himself from looking at a crying Gauri, Gauri spoke, " Bidaai par so sirf iss ghar se jaungi na, chaar diwaron se, par abhi toh kisi ko apne dil ne nikalna hai, Kisi ke dil se nikalna, Dard to zyada abhi hi hoga..."A drop of tear fell down Omkara's eyes as heard Gauri.

"Kya?" Reema was confused.

Gauri was about to say something when Omkara hit his hand slightly at Gauri's head, " Kuch nahi, tumhe toh pata hai na, Pagal hai yeh..." and broke into a laughter.

"Haan, Pagal hi toh hun mein..." Gauri followed him laughing as Gauri's Bua came running to call Gauri.

"Kya kar rahi ho,yeh haasne ka samay hai...haasna band karo Dulhe Raja ko intezaar karwa rahi ho wahan mandap par..." And saying so she took a laughing Gauri's arm and started walking not realizing or caring when the laughs turned into uncontrollable tears, albeit silent.

Gauri's friends had followed her leaving behind a laughing Omkara in the room, He laughed and laughed and laughed as he fell down on the floor and then cried, cried as he broke down.

'Boldo na Omkara nahi bhejna chahte mujhe khud se dur, Nahi karwana chahte meri shadi kisi aur se...' The only thing her eyes were hoping but he failed her, He failed his Love...Omkara knew it.

The unsaid Love they shared never reached its destination, His respect for his teacher weighed above his love for Gauri...and he did a crime, he used  her Love for him against her.

Context: Omkara is 6-7 years elder to Gauri and her father's student but shares a very close bond with him and Gauri and is like Gauri's best friend and also, the only support apart from her father since her teenage days, they both are unknowingly in love but unwilling to accept because of their caste difference and the fact that it is subconsicously rooted in their mind that Gauri's father will never accept them together. Hence, Gauri who is still more open than Omkara is unwilling to marry at all but is convinced to marry by Omkara since she never denies him anything who in turn was told to do so by Gauri's father.

A/N: Ok, I don't remember when I wrote it but just came across this piece of writing I had saved as a draft somewhere today so decided to post it even as I feel this is incomplete since I know this is completely inspired from one of my favourite serials 'Ek tha Chandra Ek thi Sudha' which in turn in based on a classic novel , 'Gunahon ka Devta' since I feel the serial is highly underrated even though it is one of the best itv serial I have seen. Just wanted to bring this serial to people's notice, even if 5-6. Anyways, Guess am posting something after almost an year so Hi everyone 😅😅. College life, specially online is very hectic, sorry for the mess I have created but just hope you all are doing good. Hope you enjoyed this story and do try to checkout the show if you did, its a tragedy though. 😀
