This was one book I was really excited to read! Your blurb instantly caught my eye. The book seemed to be something different than is usually published.

Cover, Title and Blurb:

Your blurb is great. It is instantly intriguing and let's the readers know exactly what type of story they can expect. Your cover is amazing! I honestly love it. It has this air of mystery around it which really makes one want to click on it! Since that is exactly what a cover should do, I think you've really done well with it!👍The cover is actually one of my favourite part about your book! The title is good too. While it is not exactly immediately eye catching, it's perfect for the story! Simple and perfect! So all in all, I think you are perfect in this section! Good job on the books presentation! It is honestly one of the most important aspects of a book!

Grammar:

Your story has absolutely no issues with grammar,punctuation or sentence structure! It is beautifully written and feels as though it's a proper published book. I really have nothing to add in this section because you've just done a spectacular job in writing this story!!

Flow:

The flow is fantastic! The story moves at the perfect pace. Every time I thought I knew what will happen, you whipped up something knew which completely took me by surprise! I was honestly completely into your story and just could not put it down! It flowed so well that I almost forgot it was a book and could almost imagine being in The Story myself.

Characters:

Your characters are great! Each and everyone of them is different and relatable in some way.

Rachel is truly my favourite! I love how she cares a lot about her family and friends. I also like how she is really smart and sensible, in that unlike Ewan she realized the repercussions of trying to change the story. Although she also feels that The Story is cruel, she doesn't  openly attempt to change it (in the beginning at least).

I really liked the characters of Will and Red as well. I really enjoyed Red's spunkiness (if that's a word😉) and general attitude. There was a lot of mystery surrounding Will's character which is a great way to keep the reader interested. I really liked how something knew was revealed about him all the time yet you still managed to leave me guessing about him!

Although you've done a great job with the characters in general I do have something to add. I feel as though you should build a little more on the relationship between Guy and Rachel. It seemed a little rushed to me and I didn't feel as emotionally invested in it as I do in other stories. In the beginning of the book it was developing fine. I got the feeling that there was some sort of attraction between them. However, after Ewan's big reveal, we are shown  that Rachel does not like or trust him anymore (at least that's what she thinks). This is where their relationship becomes a little rushed. I feel as though you should develop it a little more and slow it down (before what happens at Briar's palace. No spoilers😉). That way I think the readers will be more invested in their relationship. Other than this, great job with the characters!

Other thoughts:

There is a death ( I think you know whose I mean) which is totally heart breaking and one I did not see coming. I was almost in tears while reading and kept hoping for a miracle. Sadly there was no saving one of my favourite characters 😕 (did you really have to do it!😉)

The ending of the book is phenomenal! It's honestly the best part of the book and one of my favourite! Especially for a book with a sequel, it's the perfect ending. Just when the reader feels that they've finally got everything figured out and that Rachel has sort of got her happy ending,  you spring this on us! I honestly have no words...it's just that good!

The mystery surrounding Will's character is also one of my favourite parts! Till the final page of The book, the reader is left guessing just who he is. When you finally reveal who he is, you manage to clear up who his character is while still leaving the readers with so many questions! Great job!

Advice:

I don't really have any advice for you seeing as you're doing great. So I'll just say that maybe you should expand a little more on Rachel's and Guy's relationship.

If you haven't already, I'd say enter your story into some awards. I bet you could when a lot! If you like you can check out my reading list "Clubs, Contest, etc". There are some awards there that are still open.

Overall, your story is amazing and I absolutely adore it. I cannot wait to read the rest of the stories in the series! I'll be checking them out as soon as I have time.

Your plot is completely unique and different and it is one of the most enjoyable stories I've read. Great job! I really recommend your book! It is amazing!
